Instead, WNC contacted us and told us they'd monitor the flight and pick him up as soon as he landed. They did so, and they got him home in record time. He's fine now, but we owe this company. They went above & beyond.

Justin is easily one of the most gracious, respectful, communicative, responsive, and professional people I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. We were planning a wedding in WNC from afar as we don't live fulltime in the area, and Justin made our lives infinitely easier throughout the planning process as we arranged to/from transportation for all of our guests who joined us for our wedding and reception. In addition to immaculate transportation service, every single guest who rode with Justin raved about his service and all the little things he did (remembering people's names before even meeting them in person; politely helping people in/out vans, etc). We were surprised that Justin did a 'dry run' in advance of the wedding and in doing so, discovered optimal paths that saved our guests time in getting to the wedding safely and expeditiously. And as my wife and I reveled in the reception celebration, Justin enabled us to enjoy without having to feel like we were clock-watching. Lastly, it had snowed overnight before our wedding; I'm sure our guests were relatively nervous about a winter wedding with below freezing temperatures, but Justin was expert in safely navigating up and down the mountain. If you have the opportunity to work with this organization, it'll be the easiest and best decision you make for whatever it is you're planning.

NOT (family) FRIENDLY -…read more My two children and I stopped by early because we had to use the bathroom (there is not an easy place to stop in that area). The front desk ladies would not allow us to do so, even though we were prepaid and pre-registered to check in that afternoon (we were there about two hours before our check-in time). We just wanted to use the bathroom, not check in yet. They said we'd have to pay a half-day rate ($40+) to use the toilet! After we killed time until check-in, we returned and were argued with about the key deposit and I began to cry. They could've cared less. They accused me of throwing things at them (I tossed my credit card on the desk so they could hold it instead of my $4.77 - make sure you have that $5.00 cash, boy!) and I told them, still in tears, that I'd cancel if I could. They told me "no refunds" and I walked out with them still talking about me to one another in the front office - deplorable. I cannot speak to the facilities - we didn't get that far because we were not treated well. Who doesn't even offer a mother in tears a place to sit down or a bottle of water or anything?!? I was too embarrassed and frustrated to even try to stay. I believe that kindness begets kindness and I can't say that we were shown that, so here is the review telling folks what happened. I hope this leads to some HR training for the staff and that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Check-in is super easy, they will leave your entire packet in a mailbox outside for you if you'll be coming in late. The receptionist was so nice and helpful. She recommended we get a few cords of wood for the fire pit, and even gave us kindling to get it going. The cabins themselves are pretty comfortable, too. Ours had a primary bedroom on the main floor and a loft bedroom upstairs with 2 full beds. We enjoyed a full kitchen with a dining table and a living room with a couch and two chairs. The best thing about the cabin, though, was the back porch! It came with a porch swing and several rocking chairs which overlooks the gently flowing stream. So very peaceful! And you can see the rise of the mountains just off in the distance. Our cabin was one of the first ones near the entrance and was perched high up on the hill. Great views, but impossible for me to walk down to the stream. The next time I book a cabin, I will make sure to get one farther down that has a more flat walkway to the stream. The stream area has a firepit, a hammock, and small beach area for wading. There is also a playground on site along with a covered picnic area with grills. You may also rent Yurts or bring your RV. I didn't go to that part of the property, so no report on that. There is so much to love about this property, but my two favorite things were the resort cat who visited us every time we came out on the back porch and leaving my screen door open to fall asleep to the sounds of the stream and the cool air. Such a charming place!!
