These are real singles who also made an investment in their future and take it seriously. They are blind dates but that's part of the excitement also. Spam Company. Rebecca and Venessa with others are running this fake company. They will reel you in with nice things in the begining, and make you pay $3400 non refundable fee (just so you know they wont mention it upfront, and if you signed contract then you are doomed). Then they will pretend to search dates for you. Dates will cancel on you last minute. Once you sign the contract with them you are pretty much doomed. I wanted to stop the service after giving it full two weeks. No dates. I read about them i found they did this to many people. Dont trust the reviews on google, it might be from them itself, Check trustpilot. Today itself i tried to talk to Rebecca to get a refund after just two weeks, she was like no we will not refund your money on any cost, do whatever you can, I told her that i am gonna report this business to better business bureau. She said you have signed the contract. When Venessa have to give sales pitch, she will call you, when you have to call back to her, she wont respond. I have already raised this $3400 Charge on my credit card, So they will handle them hopefully. But still they are keeping me as a hostage. When I asked her who is her CEO and Founder, she was not aware of that, or not willing to give that information. Then She mentioned someone named Bill Rossi. She was like no you can not talk to him. its a company of 50 people and you can't talk to the CEO. This company is a complete Spam, Do not spend your hard earned Money on them. I lost my $3400. Complete waste of time and money. Every single date literally entailed each of us talking about how bad our experience on IJL had been up to that point. Heads up, be sure to ask about age specifically because they won't tell you otherwise. Obviously they have a small pool to pull from, because most are not going to make this kind of investment, so it is not terribly surprising that the "matches" are so poor. The cost, however, is ridiculous (i.e., 3k ish start up fee and 100 per month) for about one date per month. Moreover, the phony effort is obnoxious. I really do not need to field a phone call after every date so I can tell you, again, that this date was exactly like the previous 10... Your feedback is not affecting who they set you up with; it's just for appearances. I also do not need to meet you in person for 10 minutes so you can pretend that this encounter illuminates your matchmaking strategy, or complete some generic 20 ish question personality test that appears to have been printed off from the internet. It's all smoke and mirrors. They're a business, their goal is to take as much of your money as possible under the guise that you will get what you're looking for. It's probably not going to happen. I was initially hesitant to reach out given some past experiences I had with matchmaking, and also seeing some other reviews IJL had; but I'm glad I reached out anyway. IJL actually listens to the feedback you give them (unlike other similar services I have experienced in the past), and as long as you go in with an open mind and aren't extremely picky about who you are interested in meeting, it seems to be a good experience. This is an extremely expensive service. I was very disappointed in my first date, they did not prepare me that he was physically handicapped. I was gracious of course but a heads up would have been nice. I will say I actually met the love of my life and we married. The biggest complaint I have was that they charged my husband less than $1000 and they charged me $1800. This was all pre COVID so I'm sure things are much different now. My experience at IJL Chicago was extremely disappointing. I do not believe that any "matchmaking" actually happens. The people I was matched with had very little in common with me. And the coaching was of little value to me. When I reached out originally I was hard sold on a program and given one option which ends up being over $900 per date. I learned from my dates that there are many other options. I found the company to lack integrity. I agree with almost all of the negative comments here as I experienced many of the exact same things. Last, you can see how unprofessional the company is when the business owner responds to negative comments here in a passive aggressive way. I have never posted a review on yelp before. This company is NOT as advertised. I don't believe they have enough people in their database to march people thoughtfully, based on their criteria. I was set up on 6 dates. Only two guys had any of the qualities I specifically stated I was looking for. My last zoom date, after cancelling at the last minute the week before, was 30 minutes late to the date and when he finally logged on he was laying on his couch. Didn't even bother to sit up. He asked me to "stand up and turn around" so He could see me. Then after about 30 minutes he basically hung up on me. Also, two of the 6 guys were still married. PLEASE READ BEFORE WASTING YOUR MONEY. I signed up for It's just lunch with optimism, excitement and hope. I was told about the plethora of successful, intelligent, active men in Chicago in their client list and couldn't wait to start meeting them.  I paid my significant sign up fee ($2800) and the reality quickly hit that it was a complete SCAM. I was set up with men that lived over an hour away, who were dating women from their past (ie not single), who couldn't hold a conversation and who rented rooms from colleagues and didn't live alone in their late 30s.  These men did not meet the definition of successful, kind, active or living in Chicago as I had been promised. I could go on and on about my disappoint and frustration. As I gave IJL my feedback after each date, they put it on me and made it my fault. They wanted feedback after each date to tailor my next dates to my preferences, but listened to none of it and just told me to be more open minded.  I would never hold IJL responsible for my not finding chemistry or having a connection with dates.  What I do hold them responsible for is delivering on what they said they would and setting me up on dates with solid men meeting my preferences.  They are clearing 'checking a box' so they can meet their 1 date per month minimum (so they could charge me $99/month) and setting me up with whoever comes through the door.  If they had no clients that meet my preferences they should not have taken my money. I would NEVER recommend IJL to anyone. I have never felt so SCAMMED. PLEASE save your money. read more

And they all send the same thing: "they use deceptive and scheming practices that they have down to a science.
