My personal experience with it's Its Just Lunch was terrible to say the least. Unfortunately, I found out too late that this company is doing something very different to what they sell you in the beginning. Once I found out what was going on, I had a call with an individual from the executive team, who got agitated and aggressive when I told him that I no longer wished to be apart of the service and that I wanted a partial refund. The fact of the matter is this company's strategy is poor to say the least. They obviously cannot perform to the expectations that they set and are taking full advantage of people who are in a vulnerable position. I was sold a completely different service than what I received and I cannot emphasize enough, do not get roped into their fluffy sales pitch. If you want to make an investment that is worth your time, energy, and money, DO NOT sign up for any services sold to by It's Just Lunch. They are a scheme and you are merely dollar signs to them, NOT a customer or priority. If you need one more reason to believe this review.. notice how the site itself does not allow you to leave a review.. that should speak for itself. read more

Run from this service. Scam and waste of time and money. They suck you in with all types of promises but can't deliver. None of what they tell you is true. Gross exaggerations at best. Once they get your money the promises disappear. They have a haughty greater than thou attitude like they are in charge of your life and future and you owe them read more

DO NOT DO IT!!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN! They are not truthful about their fees. It is a $1900 "non-refundable" interview fee and $285 monthly fee. I paid $2,185 to not go on one date. I asked for my money back and they have refused. They sell you on a false dream and play on your emotions. They have no interest whatsoever in you finding someone special. I have been fighting for months to get my money back. Save your time and money and DO NOT join IJL. read more

This has been a very frustrating experience . In 3 months I have had ONE date. I call and get no response, I email and the response is.....we are diligently working on a perfect match for you. I believe they do not have much of a client base to choose from. Do not join this service, it is like flushing dollars down the toilet! read more

I highly discourage anyone from using the service! Never been so boldly lied to in my life. They suck you in with all kinds of promises and encouraging optimism. Once they get your money the whole deal changes. None of what they tell you is true and they have a shut up, sit down and do what I tell you attitude. Big rip off!! read more

The worst dates I have ever had period. A parade of the most socially awkward broken men you will even have the misfortune of meeting. The first date I was ghosted, the guy was a no show. The second date was a convicted felon. The third had horrendous BO and a disability. One guy was nice but was a Mr. Mom with 4 small kids and obviously didn't have the time to date. The last one was terribly socially awkward and just got up quite rudely and left me sitting there. The waiter was horrified. I explained it was a terrible dating service and they are all like that. This company is a disgrace and hopefully won't be in business much longer. Don't be fooled. Don't kid yourself. You deserve better ladies. Oh, and this is dates spaced out very few and far between over a year - about 1 date every 3 months. Not what they promise at all. IJL is garbage and I gave up finding a decent date from them a long time ago but I thought at least I would meet some new friends or business acquaintances. Not at all. Just broken wrecks. Sad. read more

Not what you want. NO BACKGROUND CHECKS!! Not even a person to person interview. Interviews are conducted over the phone and pictures are what the clients submit. For the fees they charge not the value you want! read more

Poor matches arranged with people without any common interests or background for a very high fee. I feel like the dates were arranged to just document that I had the number of dates that had been agreed upon. Definitely would not recommend. read more

This "service" is such a waste of money. They will set you up with anyone to fulfill their end of the contract, regardless of your stated preferences. My first match was a disaster - our education levels were widely disparate and the match had children full time in the home even though I stated I did not want to date anyone with children. After several complaints and unsuccessful attempts to speak with customer service or a manager, I stupidly let the service convince me that their next match would be better. No such luck - they again ignored my preferences and had me waste my time meeting a person with whom I had nothing in common. (When pressed, the IJL folks told me that we both "like to watch tv".) When my third date was as bad as the first two, I called it quits. Unfortunately, they know their service is bad and will not work with you to get even a partial refund. read more

This company and their claims are a complete scam! I was not buying into their story and was extremely hesitant, so the "sales" guy used a bait/switch on me by telling me about this perfect match for me that he couldn't wait to set me up with. Then I joined, wasted SO much money, only to find out that match didn't even exist. I've paid monthly fees since joining, have gone on 1 date in 3 months. I've had people put in front of me that don't fit the profile of what I defined/described AT ALL. I've also asked to speak to management, then all of a sudden the matchmaker is the manager. The entire thing - total scam. RUN, do not walk, away. read more

I do not recommend this service to anyone. On my initial phone call, I was assured of the following objective criteria: men taller than myself (5'11) with college degrees and between the ages of 32-40. Knowing that information I paid $1000 for a membership. I went on a total of two dates- both of which the men were shorter and above the age of 40. I spoke with supervisors, sent letters via certified mail, and sent emails to never be acknowledged. Upon further internet research (google IJL Lawsuit), my story is shockingly similar to other customers. read more

It's Just Lunch. The staff at IJL works hard to satisfy their clients. I'm very happy with what they've done for me and I recommend them to anyone who's tried other matching methods without success. read more

I've been a member for around a year and have found my matches to be way off. I'm being matched with older men. I believe I've also met the 50 year old virgin. Nice people; but, they don't follow through on the personal interviews to truly match you with common interests and lifestyles. I am a well accomplished, active woman who has a "good look." I'm suspecting they take on many men who struggle finding a date and the pool of men more well suited is small. read more

I had a terrible experience with IJL and do not recommend them to anyone. I was miss led by the sales person, I was told I could put my account on hold as needed and would not incur any additional costs while the account was in that status but that was not true. The number of matches I was told i would get was also later disputed and the sales person responded that was not her area, I guess their people are not required to know what services they are selling. Ultimately the matches I received were not really consistent with the criteria i requested in pretty significant areas such as wanting to have children. Calls and emails were ignored, overall very expensive and disappointing - you definitely don't get the level of service you pay for. read more
