The guy at the counter is a little weird. He tends to stare at women a little too much. Also the inside of the store smells bad since they leave their stock of cardboard boxes out everywhere. Unfortunately, they don't have a good selection of YGO cards, just 10-cent common cards. They have a selection of cheap Pokémon cards from 10 cents to $1. Not a bad store to go to if you need something like cards or board games but felt a little weird inside. Edit: Changed to one-star due to business response and poor customer service. This location is well-stocked with several collectible card game boosters, precon decks, and singles. The person that worked there was super helpful and knowledgeable. I always passed by this store and finally stopped in to get a Magic the Gathering Commander deck. I will definitely go back, since the hours are surprisingly convenient. read more

Had what I needed in stock. Started asking questions, and I ended up buying that game, too!

I popped in here to get some dice and Brett could not have been more helpful in showing me different types and helping get what I needed. I also picked up a nice "dice boot" tower that is perfect for what I am playing. It's a great shop with loads of different tabletop games for purchase, various cards and accessories, and apparently they even host competitions at the tables they have set up. I'll definitely be back if I need anything else! read more

Surprisingly kid friendly regarding Pokemon. They have a $.10 box, along with a $.50 box, so my kiddo could pick up a stack of cards without breaking the bank. Packs are priced within reason for a brick and mortar hobby/card shop. You can't expect a physical store to compete with an on-line seller without a lease. Guy was a little hectic, but patient and accommodating. Store was both tabletop ga,es as well as cards, so selection wasn't expansive, but enough to scratch any itch of anyone looking for packs to breaks. Can't ask for more, my daughter even asked to bring her friend next time. read more

This review is regarding the Pokémon & Yugioh TCG items. First off, they do not carry yugioh. That's not the problem here though... the problem is that this is a RETAIL store, charging RESELL prices for sealed pokemon products. Keep in mind, as a retail hobby store, this shop can purchase product at WHOLESALE COST. Yet they mark it up 500-700% and charge the highest price they could find on eBay. They are crazy if they think I am paying $35 for 3 packs and one promo card just because eBay has it at $35 (approx. double the MSRP) Will not be returning. read more

This is a small hobby shop with a good variety of games. The set up is a bit like a warehouse (no big displays) but easy to see everything that's available. The staff person was friendly but not overbearing. Would recommend stopping by this place if you're looking for a game/gift that might not be available at a chain store like target. read more

Less the product available and more so the look. Uninviting. Scary. Unwelcoming. Could definitely justify their price on singles if they cleaned up a bit. Also selection was vast of different TCGs, which I like. But why put a reverse holo 2$ Pokémon card next to a 15$ flesh and blood card? Confusing. Also, store worker had little knowledge of TCGs. Moreso centered around board games. shop here for board games or a quick fix of fun and strange new TCGs. Great little shop. Went in last weekend with my son and got some great suggestions from the guy behind the counter for some new board games. Ended up buying Catan, which was more expensive than on Amazon but if you read the Amazon reviews it sounds like there are issues with counterfeit games, so I didn't mind paying a little more as well as to support a local business. The quality of the game we got was great. I would however like to see them include hand sanitizer at the door and encourage or even require patrons to use it when coming in as game boxes can be a vector for illness and it is hard to shop for games without picking up boxes. read more

If you're looking for boardgames and card games both classic and new, this is a thrilling place to walk into. It's not large, roughly the size of an indie video store, but much like the best record and video shops GameTime makes their size feel perfect by being incredibly well-curated while using space very nicely, which combination makes for the best of both worlds, feeling simultaneously loaded with riches and easy to navigate. I came in here looking for one or two high-quality boardgames for my partner and I to play together, and a few moments after gazing over their selection and being greeted by the friendly, gentle, super helpful person working there, I realized I had gotten very lucky and wound-up in the best kind of place imaginable. I love playing boardgames with my wife and (my favorite members of) my family, and like many people I believe good food whenever you feed the mind, body, or spirit -- so I want good games, not junky games, and this place has TONS of good games and not much else! I felt so lucky and relieved when I walked in and the person working there spoke and immediately identified themselves as kind and helpful in a few short words. One does not always encounter such generosity at small game stores and comic book shops so this was an early victory. He listened to me describe, clumsily, what I was looking for, then he snapped immediately into creative action and went about the store showing me a few good options. I ended up choosing different games than those he recommended, but his recommendations showed that he really listened, and when I came to the counter with a stack of games he had a few cool things to tell me about couple of those I had chosen. Perfect! The game selection is curated in the following way: no junk, only the good stuff, plenty of award-winners, nothing tacky or weird, very diverse and inclusive, not snobbish, not dumb, just a really really good family game shop with zero filler. They had everything classic/old school I was looking for, plus they turned me onto several newer games that were actually so beautiful in design and so exciting in concept that it all got me feeling a little giddy. Of course, like anyone, I googled the games I'd purchased after getting home: all reviewed extremely well, far and wide. I learned that they have recently starter having indoor game tournaments again, so if you play Magic: The Gathering or D&D this looks like your battlefield. Good neighborhood vibe. This store is a gem in the community and I hope it stays that way. It's not super glamours inside, no fancy decor, nor hip music. It's just shelves and shelves of games with pretty decent organization. If you want geek out, submerse yourself in a giant game collection, this place is sweet. It is also seems like they host tournaments/games during non pandemic times. I think it's really cool that there's a business that still brings people with common interests together. They also have the retro feels like Pokémon and other card and board games. I found almost everything competitively priced, not that far off from internet prices, and you get to experience their collection, read the box up close, compare/judge all the options in your hands, and support your local community. The only thing that was off and others have mentioned, were the Pokémon ETB prices. They were above msrp and even above market price. I don't think it's fair to judge them on that one case, if they sold them at msrp -they would be cleared out and some scalper would reap the benefits of the current market. It's also not their job to police who can buy what, and only allow certain people to buy them at some arbitrary price. They've decided to charge what they charge for the Pokémon ETB's and the market will support that or bring them back to what people are willing to pay, so it's not that big of a deal to me. read more

Well, this place used to be okay, but their prices have reached ridiculous levels. I am all for supporting local businesses and paying a premium, but that doesnt mean I like getting ripped off. It's Gametime! has mostly cards and a huge selection of tabletop games. Only rpg I've seen is D&D plus some prepainted minis, maps, dice etc. There's aren't paints or models or video games really (outside of some classic multi-game stand up arcade machines) My favorite thing about the shop are the in store play events. There's lots of tables and the owner lets people bring in food, as well as selling drinks and snacks in the store. There's even a pizza/Italian restaurant next door that will bring your food over! I've only played D&D there but that group is friendly and fun (usually around 30+ people on 4 tables). I highly recommend checking it out. read more

Got a bunch cool board games an puzzles that you wouldn't find anywhere else as gifts for Christmas this year. Only downside was parking was bad on Sunday we had to park a quarter mile down the street. Store overall was a good experience and staff was friendly. read more

EASILY a 5 if they had more sports cards! Stopped by to pick up a few packs of cards to open on a random afternoon with my also 30-something friend. It's one of those things where when we were 10, spending $5 for a pack of cards would have resulted in a tongue lashing from our parents. As adults now, it's just a fun thing to do busting packs of cards while drinking a beer or two. The man behind the counter was super chill. It's more of a 'gaming card' shop with tables in the back for battles?!?! Anyway, they have a 5000 count box full of $1 cards of name players if that floats your boat... for me, I still like the sensation of busting packs and the randomness that follows!! Ended up picking up a few packs of current cards & hoping I can follow-up this post ten years from now and say I pulled the next big superstar's chrome refractor ice autograph jersey rookie card! read more

Absolute and utter nerdgasm! I recently moved to the area and accidentally found this little gem. I was particularly excited for one thing, original 150 Pokemon (yes I was a tomboy growing up) tournaments which they didn't have to my disappointment. Called and asked for recommendations. Got some good advice and like the game we got. Games aren't organized in any way though (I asked), which makes it hard to look through... I visit many board game stores, I've worked in a few, and have been to this store twice now. Both times I've found the man behind the counter, presumably the owner, extremely rude. It's GameTime is a reasonably well stocked place but it's dirty and it isn't worth it with the owner's attitude. He is sarcastic and sour, and while he offers help at first, it seems like a rote chore, and he reveals his snarky attitude later. Really off put by him. TLDR - interactions with owner were dissatisfying - no complaints on card selection. I have tried going here a few time and have mixed reviews purely from a customers point of view. I have been a TCG enthusiast for the past 20 years and whenever I go into a card shop I go in with questions, I want to see what the shop has to offer with an open mind. I always try to support local business. And I always buy something when I go in. However I don't normally have a particular card I want to buy. So when I ask about new inventory and I'm met with condescending sarcasm - this upsets me. Every time I have gone to this store and spoken with Brett I usually leave dissatisfied. Not because of the card selection but because I am made to feel stupid every single time I shop there. While sarcasm alone doesn't bother me(as its common in the TCG realm) - it's the sarcasm paired with no valuable information that irks me. While his greetings are nice enough and he will always offer help or to answer questions - I literally go in there and say this is the type of deck I'm running - what can you sell me and I receive responses such as ". . . Well we obviously have lots of cards with those (whatever thing your looking for) . . " and then leaves it at that, no suggestions, nothing. If these interactions were improved I wouldn't mind this shop but until then I will be taking my business to Next Gen. read more

Brett hooked me up with some great Star Wars CCG cards I've been trying to hunt down. Not many places carry these old gems so I was geeked when I found some near me. Great service and great prices.
