I have met with Dr. DiDonna on several occasions (pre- and post-lab work), and unlike pretty much every other doctor I have seen in recent memory, Dr. DiDonna has been the only health care practitioner to actually ASK me how I'm feeling as opposed to just reading results from a computer screen. And a special shout-out to Brit at the front desk who was super helpful in getting my insurance situation sorted out and was extremely efficient in scheduling my appointment and follow-up. She is so nice and helpful, I can only imagine her job is super stressful! Can't say enough good things about Dr. DiDonna and the crew at Dunedin Pediatrics--since my first appointment, I'm actually OFF of three prescriptions and have been feeling the best I've felt in years (I'm a 41 year old guy). If you want to see a medical professional who cares about your well being, definitely consider making an appointment. Been living here in Florida for the past three years approximately, looking for good pediatric care…read morefor both my children and we got recommended this office/location. We are pleased with the decision made. It's located in a very centric place, it's office is very spacious, organized and very well layout. Parking may look tricky but it actually has enough space for when it's "busy" like for those back to school forms/visits. (Summer Break) As far as Covid protocol they have always been following guidelines. From calling, texting, online check in and car waiting. Every staff member wears their mask, have their hand sanitizer, seats and section are identified with social distance stickers. Office is divided by section to avoids minors to be around others who are "sick" from those who need an other type of service (vaccines, check up etc..) Every staff member is very respectful, polite and humble. They talk every process and procedure with the adult/parent/guardian and even take the time to address it with the child to make the appointment easy going. Communication is a plus! They call, text, email and even communicated through their portal! Recommend them fully!

We used to love this drs office and have been going for the last 2 years for my toddler and my…read morenewborn recently was seen here. A few months ago they became part of a corporation and now have a call center that is so terrible, it has made me find a new pediatrician. You can't even call the front desk to talk to anyone, even if it's a quick question. Each call will take a minimum of 10 minutes as you need to go verify insurance, phone number, address, etc. each call. Oh and you have more than one kid? You still have to verify for each child in the same phone call. The straw that broke the camel's back was recently we tried to speak to the doctor about a small issue my newborn was having. It was after hours (around 530pm) and in the past, we left a message with the doctor and would get a call back. They now have a "medical advice" line that you are transferred to. I was on hold for the few few minutes when the lady answered to ask me hold again. I was then on hold for another 15-20 minutes. After that, we had to verify our insurance, phone number, address, etc. yet again (even through we just saw them a few days ago). After another 20 minutes, our medical advice was "you should see a doctor, we can schedule a tele-visit now for you." I thought this whole time, the lady was going to give me medical advice. Then, she tells me the tele-visit will be a "fee." I asked her if it would be a copay, she proceeds to tell me "no, it's a fee." When I ask what that fee is, she tells me she can't tell me, it's up to what the insurance pays. I read another person in the reviews got a $150 "fee." Another time I called because I forgot the dermatologist recommendation list the Doctor gave me. The call center wouldn't transfer me to the actual office and wouldn't provide the recommendation list for me either. I would have to physically go back in the office for it (the call center also wouldn't call them so it was ready for me). This place is literally a joke now; it's absolutely terrible. The doctors and staff are great but it's not worth the hassle. When I complained to the staff at the office, they all said "everyone is complaining about it, unfortunately there's nothing we can do" so clearly I am not the only one having this issue. Save yourself the headache and find a different pediatrician.

The office set up is super cute and bright my kids enjoyed it they were also playing Cocomelon on the tv which my toddler LOVED and I appreciated as well! Judy greeted us in a very friendly and welcoming manner. She was also super sweet and friendly over the phone when I called to schedule our appointment. She was so patient with my highly active one year old and played with her as I shuffled all my things along with a newborn. She was such a big help and I'll never forget that. I felt relieved not feeling judged or rushed while I was there and this was all before even meeting the doctor! Dr Rivera is amazing as well. My babies responded to him so well. He is very knowledgeable and sweet, friendly, not intimidating and judgy which is everything I was looking for in a new pediatrician! In addition to medical services they have access to a lot of useful resources that parents of young children could use. It feels like family every visit and I'm forever grateful for them being my babies' medical provider! If I could give them more stars I would because 5 doesn't seem enough!

Extremely disappointed in how this practice has changed over the years…read more We have been patients of this practice since my oldest daughter was born. She is now four, and my younger son has also been a patient since birth. We stayed with this practice for years because we genuinely believed in what Dr. Rivera said he wanted his practice to be: quality over quantity and a place where patients and families mattered. Unfortunately, our experience over the years has become completely different. There have been ongoing issues with the office staff being rude and dismissive toward me as a parent. One of the issues that initially caused frustration was that the office repeatedly got my son's gender incorrect. When I corrected the information, instead of simply acknowledging and correcting the mistake, I was met with an attitude from the staff. Mistakes happen, but the way a parent is treated when bringing a mistake to the office's attention matters. We have also had ongoing difficulties with insurance issues and scheduling. Rather than feeling like the office is trying to help families navigate these things, we have repeatedly felt like we were an inconvenience. The situation that ultimately resulted in our children being dismissed from the practice was especially frustrating. I completed all of the required paperwork for my daughter's appointment. Instead of someone from the office calling or emailing me to explain that there was an issue with her primary care provider information and giving me an opportunity to correct it, I received a random text message stating that they could not see her because the information was incorrect. I responded and explained that this could have easily been resolved if someone had simply contacted me and asked me to correct the information. I received no response. The following day, my husband called the office and was told that because of my "attitude," they no longer wanted to see either of our children. Think about that for a moment. My daughter had been a patient there since she was a newborn and is now four years old. My son has been a patient since birth and is now almost two. After years of bringing our children to this practice, both children were dismissed because the office did not like how I addressed a problem that could have been resolved with a simple phone call or email. What is even more disappointing is that we previously had respect for Dr. Rivera and his vision for the practice. He often spoke about wanting to be different and prioritizing quality over quantity. Unfortunately, our experience has been that the quality of the overall patient experience has gone significantly downhill as the years have gone on. When patients repeatedly raise concerns about the office staff, it is incredibly disappointing when those concerns do not seem to be taken seriously. Now, even obtaining our children's medical records has become unnecessarily difficult. I requested the complete records for both of my children. Rather than providing a complete electronic copy of each child's records, I was told that I could individually download years' worth of documents from the patient portal myself. For a family that has been patients for four years, that can mean an enormous number of individual documents to download. The biggest issue for me is not that mistakes happen. It is the lack of communication, professionalism, and willingness to work with parents to resolve problems. We trusted this practice with our children for years. It is extremely disappointing to go from feeling like valued patients to feeling like our family is simply unwanted because we spoke up about problems we were experiencing. I would strongly encourage parents considering this practice to pay attention not only to the doctors, but also to how the office staff communicates with and treats families. The experience we had is very different from the practice we originally chose years ago.
