I have walked in here a couple different times and easily found unique gifts for between $10-$15. They have tons of jewelry and clothes as well-hence the name bauble & thread. They also sell a variety of accessories, and fun gifts. One part of their clothing selection is called "Salvaged", these are unique pieces that are either "pre-owned" or "gently used". We looked through them and they all looked in wonderful condition, and they are all very pretty. (If anyone knows what Poshmark is, that is how "Salvaged" got started and continues, in addition through the store. The owner of Salvaged is the daughter of the owner of bauble & thread. Yay Shopping Local!) I enjoy coming here to look around, and seeing what I can find, but also this is one of those places that I know I'm going to find a fun, unique gift at. I understand the overhead expenses and having to buy cards at a lower margin to make up for those costs but these guys literally dont know what they are doing. an employee started counting the value of my cards using a site called TCG player but he was never writing these number's down so I could review his offer or even see if he was even adding them up right. Now of course I could have been more prepared by knowing a rough estimate of my collection was worth. But the numbers he was explaining did not make sense and I could tell just by looking at what was in front of me. Not only did it not make sense he had started adding cards to piles that have not been counted yet. yes it could have been a mistake but if he would have known how to properly break it down for the costumer these issues wouldn't even happen. To put this into perspective he offered me around 400. I refused and went to another shop and walked out with 1500. This is a huge problem in the community with scalpers and even people getting ripped off because they are new to the hobby. I write this post to tell you be careful with these card shops and do research before you walk in. If I didn't know about my collection this store was easily trying to rip me off.

Anywho my husband was having a company party and first time in a while to finally get dressed up. It was the perfect excuse to go shopping for something cute and inexpensive. Saw that they were also having a BOGO 50% sale for Christmas and took advantage of it. The staff was friendly and greeted me upon entering. I had my toddler and my baby in a stroller so it was a bit tight getting around since there were a few shoppers in store. They have so many different selections of accessories. I ended up getting a dainty necklace for myself and my daughter and two bracelets all for about $50. They do have a rewards program free to sign up. Definitely my new go to place for accessories.
