I fell in love with this place before I was ever a mom. I would go in constantly to get my clothes altered by the owner. She's a wizard! Anything you need altered or fixed, she gets the job done! Plus she's fast, which I love if I ever need her to fix something last minute. She's always so sweet and energetic! Now that I'm a girl mom, I practically live in this store even more than I did pre-baby. I get all my daughter's bows and some outfits here and if you love all the girly things...this is the place for you. The two girls that work in the shop are always so personable and attentive & I love chatting with them when I go in. Overall, I've never had a bad experience here. We have been going to Sugar & Spice for six years now since my daughter was two. It's easily become our favorite store! Miko and the girls are so amazing to work with! Every time we come in it's like family. They know us by name and always go above and beyond to invest in how my daughter is doing. They have always been so helpful in choosing the right outfits for whatever occasion I've needed. Miko on several occasions has quickly helped us with an emergency hem or a bow that we needed. Poor customer service.. I just took my daughter and granddaughters (1 and 3 years old) in to shop for some dance leotards and we were waiting for the fitting room while they did an alteration. When they finished up we went in with our items since we were waiting for the room and the associate organizing bows (which didn't offer any assistance shopping) rudely said "oh you're going in there? You have time to wait right?"and proceeded to prioritize another customer who came into the store about 10 mins after we were already waiting.. the customer was so kind and offered to let us try our things on before her since we were waiting and she was clearly in no rush. We were taken back by the rudeness of the associate and left instead.. Too bad the response below is gaslighting instead of apologizing for poor customer service. LOVE THIS OWNER! Not only does she do custom dresses, but she does alterations as well!! Some even same day! My daughter bought her prom dress from the shop in the same center and when we saw there were alterations here, we had to inquire. So lucky we did! Not only was she meticulous and detailed, but she was so reasonably priced! Some of these other places charge you $60-100 for a simple alter and she was so much more affordable! I needed to get my daughter jazz and tap shoes and wanted to go somewhere to try them in person. The owner greeted us with a smile and was so helpful and attentive and just soooo nice! She had so much patience as we had had to try on various sizes of the jazz shoes until we found the right pair for my daughter. Her store can get me in a lot of trouble because I want to buy everything for my daughter! The shoes were reasonably priced and matched if not beat what I saw on Amazon. We walked away with the shoes and a good selection of bows. They're so cute! I love that she does spirit wear too and will be back when my daughter needs to get stuff for school. read more

Where to start...there's so many nice things to say! The owner is so nice, she helps you with anything you need. You can even get a custom order. She knows her products well and explains everything. They are the only store that I ever buy dance stuff from. If you have a 3-5 year old it's the perfect store. Their clothes are so cute! They even have some clothes that aren't for dance and have a BUNCH of bows. Your kid might need a bow that's thier school theme, you guessed it, they have that too. They can also make custom bows! I had recently contacted the store about purchasing face mask for my son. The lady I talked to told me she had just gotten new material to make more and would send me pictures of the new ones she had. So she sent me only one in paw patrol and my little one loves paw patrol and she didn't send me any others like she said she would. I messaged her back advising her we would take 2 paw patrol and if she could cash app, invoice me or whatever she needed so I could make payment for them. I never heard back from her at all after the message. I sent her 3 follow up texts asking how I make payment and absolutely no response from her. I'm very disappointed with this because masks are had to find for children and she never came through with contacting me back about how to bill me, or even say I have some masks in stock you can see by picture and purchase that way. I'm very disappointed overall and yet still can't find any masks to fit my child. This is a sad way to do busy. read more

I have shopped at Sugar & Spice for 6 years. I have gone there for everything for my daughter since she was born. I can't imagine how much money I've spent there. In the months before COVID, I bought $250 worth of dance outfits for my (then) 3 year old. I had just enrolled her before the world got shut down. I kept the outfits in a drawer, hoping places would reopen again soon. Now almost two years later, I was able to get her into dance classes again. I called the owner a few months ago and told her about all the dance outfits from two years ago and she said they would be absolutely fine to exchange as long as the tags were on. Great! I went to the store today, gathered my new items in her size, and walked up to the checkout. The employee said they could not exchange them. I asked to speak to the owner and the employee said she was in a meeting but that she "asked her" and the owner said no. I explained again that I spoke with the owner myself. Then she said, "Well she shouldn't have told you that." As if she had ANY say about what an owner of a business tells their customers. I was absolutely shocked and I left. I will not be returning and will tell others about my experience. I have never had a problem with the owner or her store, but this was not okay. read more
