Got my wife's and my watches batteries replaced here. The guy on the phone said we would get a discount for two watches but the service rep there didn't give us a discount but rather charged us $25 per watch. I didn't make a big deal about it since she probably didn't know what the owner said on the phone and she was by herself doing the work and the batteries were replaced within 30 minutes. Excellent service and work done and highly recommended for battery replacement if you have Tag Heuer watches. 4.1 stars rounded up because it's New Years. Thank you! read more

Went in for a watch battery. The first guy looked at my watch and said he could replace the battery. As soon as someone started looking at their items in the case he handed it off to another guy. This guy had NO idea how to open my watch. He fiddled around with it... asking the other guy questions. He ended up taking my watch to another store ( they own two stores in the mall) . He kept running up and down the stairs checking on it. I asked him if I should just go to the other store and he gave me some weird explanation. I visited this store prior to Mother's Day to look for a gift from my mom. Prices are EXTREMELY high here. Was asked for my driver's license. Don't believe it was returned to me. Avoid!! Went it for a watch band repair. They tried to put the wrong size pin in it. When it didn't go, they proceeded to smash my watch with a hammer to force it. (while keeping it for a week) Then, they gave up and returned my broken watch. They said they would "do me a favor" and not charge me. I took my watch elsewhere and they fixed the band in 5 minutes. But my watch is still full of hammer dents!! Also: while I was there I asked about the model number of a watch they were selling. I was told "we won't give model numbers because you might price compare." (not my intent, but when buying a $900 watch, I do want to know more about it, and that's not possible here) There is no good reason to step foot in this store, unless you have a watch that you have and want to watch someone destroy it. read more

Wow do I wish I had read all of these bad reviews before going to It's About Time in Buford! I went there to get some new batteries for two watches. I specifically told the owner that I had two watches as I handed both to him. I asked what the total price would be for both and he gave me a price that I thought was very reasonable. I asked if he wanted me to pay then and he insisted that I pay when I picked them up in 20 minutes. When I returned to pick them up, he laid the watches out on the counter and quoted me a final price that was MORE than DOUBLE what he had said before! When I objected, he said, "oh no, I meant that was for 'each' watch". He knew very well that was not what he said. I told him that his price was almost double what I had paid another jeweler about 18 months ago to replace the batteries in the same watches. He said that his batteries were top quality..."much better than I would get at other places" (which is laughable because I've always gone to reputable jewelers!) As I continued to object, he just started laughing and shaking his head while mumbling under his breath that I didn't know what I was talking about or anything about watches. I would have given them less than a 1 star. They changed a watch battery for me but never set the watch. They tried to talk me into getting more done on my watch. And they were expensive for just swapping out a battery. There were three people working at the store but working really isn't the word. None of them were doing anything. They also had very little to look at for new watches. I won't go back to them for anything. read more

The prices for the services are extremely high and the two gentlemen that worked on my watches did not have a good working knowledge of their own prices, because they had a lengthy discussion about the prices associated with their warranty packages. The brand of battery that I purchased equated to approximately $5.00 per battery. This does not include the discount, if they purchased in bulk. When I called back at 4:37 on 8/22/19 and informed them of this, they did not argue their cost per good. Since they did not dispute, I immediately shifted my focus onto the labor charges of $65.00 for less than 30 minutes of labor and they argued that they had to remove the back of the watch and reseal etc. I am definitely in the wrong profession and looking for a new job tomorrow. read more

Horrible!! Brought in two Suunto watches for battery swaps with gaskets!! Owner did the work for me. One week later at the beach I jump into pool and instant damage to the watch. Four-hundred dollar watches!! Brought them back and explained what had happened. Employee and owner merely stated their work has no warranty. What??!! They were not even receptive to working something out considering the error was on committed on their end. You bring something in to have it professionally done and this is what I get. PLEASE do yourself a favor and head to a PROFESSIONAL and have your work done and skip these people. read more

I would like to rate them Zero or even a negative number, but that is not allowed. If you need to have a watch repair or are looking to purchase a watch, stay away from "It's About Time" at the Mall of Georgia. I took my Bulova watch to Zale's to have the battery changed out. The back was on too tight so they referred me to Al who owns It's About Time, and they gave me a 15% Off Coupon. I took my watch to It's About Time, but they were closed. They opened about 11:00, and I left my watch with Al's daughter who said her father would be in later that day to fix it. I went back Wednesday evening after church and Al hadn't come in so the daughter asked if I would come back in the morning. Today, I went back at 10:30ish; they weren't open. I did some walking and ate an early lunch. At 11:30 they opened. I went to see if my watch had been repaired and it had not. He asked if I could come back in 15 minutes. When my watch was finished I checked to see if it working. I noticed the second hand on the chronograph feature was not set correctly. It was stoping between the 2 and the 3 on the face. I asked Al if he could reset the second hand (it is a chronograph hand that works independently from the other two hands as well as functions as a second hand normally) back to it's 12 o'clock resting position since it had been working properly prior to the battery dying. He said it would cost an additional $30. I just spent $25 on the battery being replaced. I figured setting the time, calendar, and the second hand was all apart of the putting a new battery in. Al told me I would need to bring the watch manual in and he would reset everything for $30 because he didn't work for free and how was he to know the second hand was in the proper place prior to the watch battery dying. I paid for the battery and then went back to Zale's. The gentleman at Zale's said he would be glad to reset the watch. He took out a manual from the drawer and it took him about 30 seconds to push a couple buttons to set the second hand back to its home position. Zane's gets and A+ for their service and It's About Time gets an F. read more

Never ever go here for repair. Brought my teenage sons necklace in for repair and was returned a different necklace. My son and wife knew it immediately when I brought it home. I returned to the store and they said they would review the store video tape and call me. Needless to say-no call. When I called to inquire about the video they told me they would not share it with me and I could see it in court if I wanted too. Nice. It's not about the money, it's principe so they will be seeing me in court. read more

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I usually, don't give reviews, but I decided to do this one because I don't want people to go through what I went through. I brought my Seiko watch in for batteries. They told me initially that it would cost $20 but agreed to $12 when I told them that was too high. The lady took my watch back to another room to work on it. While I waited, the owner walked in and went back to work on it with the lady. They came back and told me that my watch was broken and that he would charge me $45 to fix it. I looked at the watch and the numbers were not in the same place. I asked him why and he started raising his voice about how it was broken when I brought it in. I told him I had a picture of it, and it does not look like the condition that he brought it back to me. After some heated argument (mostly me asking questions, and the owner yelling at me), he gave the watch back to me. Later on, the hand on the watch and the crown fell off completely and my watch is completely ruined. I took my watch somewhere else and is waiting for a diagnostic. read more

I am writing another review for It's About Time due to how poorly this situation has been handled. I will now provide full details of the story to help others avoid this company. I brought my G-Shock GA-150A in for a battery replacement on the weekend of Father's Day 2016. It's About Time sells the G-Shock brand which made me believe that they would be capable of professionally replacing the battery in my watch. I would like to mention here that this watch was a gift from my wife for our wedding anniversary. It was my daily wear watch, plus it had sentimental value. The owner replaced the battery and charged $21.15. I paid the money, but felt it was odd that the owner said I had to set the time on the watch. I think that for the money I spent that the time could have been set by a company that sells and services watches daily. About a week later, I noticed the watch had moisture inside. Odd, I thought, considering this had never been an issue in the past. To confirm my suspicion, I looked at the rear housing of the watch which has been neglectfully re-installed by the watch vendor that I had recently paid to service. A small gap was present due to not being properly re-attached, allowing any moisture or water to undermine the service hatch. I took the watch back to the store after calling and bringing it to their attention. I dealt with a woman who was surprised for two reasons: she was shocked at the amount of moisture inside as well as shocked at the price that I had paid (set by the company she represents, I might add). She asked me to wait a moment while she made a phone call (to the owner of It's About Time). After her phone call, she said that I did not have a water test done when the battery replaced. I became upset, because this service had not been offered to me during our original transaction. I asked her to make a decision on behalf of the company she represents, to which she replied that she would not. This made me angry all things considered. She followed up by telling me I could return once the owner was present. I asked when he would be in and she did not have an answer. I returned to the store about an hour later and met the store owner in the area outside of his store and asked if we could go inside to speak about this situation. He agreed, we went inside and I took off the watch to show him that the watch no longer would function due to his company's negligence. Over the next few minutes, I gathered a quite confusing story from this store owner. I had a hard time following his line of thought. First I was told that a water test was not offered for this watch, which I had been blamed for not doing only an hour before. Then I was told that the G-Shock GA-150A is only suited for "rainfall". You are not allowed to wash your hands, take a shower, anything involving water while it is on your wrist. This made me very angry because the watch is rated for 20 BAR/ 200 Metre, and if you read the manual it is intended for "free-diving" (not S.C.U.B.A). It's About Time sells the G-Shock brand, but I am being told that my dead watch can only handle "rainfall". I tried to re-iterate to the owner that the only change that has been made to the watch was when he removed the back housing, replaced the battery, and neglectfully re-installed the back housing. The part that makes me the most angry is that HE BLAMED ME. I was blamed. The paying customer at his business was blamed. He said that it's my fault that it no longer works. This is when I became the most upset because I trusted his business to take care of my watch. This is not the case, he ruined it and now I am without it. A present my wife selectively picked for our wedding anniversary is now a paper weight on my desk...so I asked for my money back for the battery. He would not refund me...this also made me upset because it's the least he could have done. Please avoid their business. The will not properly or professionally handle a business transaction and even further they could damage your property. I do not appreciate being told that I am at fault as the paying customer. read more

Unbelievably horrible customer service!! I dropped off my Invicta watch to repair a broken band, and the quality of the work was very poor. I'm not totally sure what the standard is but I'd like to believe that a $90 repair charge would mean that it would be high quality work. My band is now loose and the rod near the clamp is bent. I asked the gentlemen if the rod could be straightened and he told me that it couldn't be because of the type of watch that I have. I think this may be something you would be better served telling a customer up front before charging them for work that isn't even good work. I tried wearing the watch for a day but it wasn't wearable. I brought the watch back looking for a resolution but was met with combativeness and a complete lack of understanding or caring for my concerns as a customer. The owner offered to remove a link and replace the bent rod, but why would I want him working on it again if it wasn't properly done the first time? I asked for a refund and was literally laughed at. The owner didn't care about how poor the service performed on my watch was and cared even less that I wasn't happy with the service done. No one should ever patronize this place unless you're open to being treated as though your business is not appreciated. read more
