Park your car on a side street and you can spend a fun afternoon experiencing what makes Burbank such a fun small town. Speaking of costumes and clothing, don't miss It's A Wrap -- a combination of thrift store, flea market, yard sale and Hollywood glamour. Everything for sale has been used in a TV or film production (even if that means hanging, unworn, in an on-camera closet). While prices are a tad higher than a thrift store or yard sale, everything is clean and pressed. Gents, I've gotten great deals on shoes and kicks (unworn) and some great high-end long coats; remember this is LA and soon temperatures will be dropping into the 70s. There's a few cases of jewelry of the Forever 21 variety. Upstairs are garments of the more costume-y variety. I just discovered this place and I'm in loveee!! You have to be patient to go through stuff, because not everything will be in prime condition but I bought a jacket from BCBG with the tags still on it Also, to the people complaining about the prices, everything in the store is 50% off from the lowest price you see, and if the price tag has a red stamp on it (which most of them do), then it's 75% off. I didn't know that until I talked to the cashier, I wish they would holler it out through the store or something because they do have posters that say that but it's not visible. I bought a silk DvF blouse for like 30$, from 250$, and another beautiful silk dress for about 40$. Go upstairs, it's where they have the more high end stuff. Also bought a long cashmere sweater that's 300$ in store for 80$. Super worth it and I'm absolutely coming back!!! They said they get new items daily. read more

This store is very fun to go to find clothes that were used in films. They are priced reasonably and are very affordable. I found multiple clothing items that were in pristine condition and this place has so many options to choose from. This place is also an excellent place to go if you are looking for costume attire. I found the most beautiful white and gold floor length coat/ gown for only $100! Another bonus is that they have a 50% off Summer Sale! I went there a few weeks ago for the first time at the Memorial Day sale and I'm gonna go back for sure! I bought 6 tops and a skirt, at amazing prices that easily would've cost 4-5 times more than what I paid. 2 still had the tags on. Like another reviewer mentioned, be sure and watch the pricing. One of the shirts I bought there was identical to one a few hangers over to it, but was priced $5 more. I checked them over carefully and there were no tears or stains, neither one had any damage. I bought the less expensive one. I found items from a variety of stores, and there were plenty of designer labels as well. My husband got a great deal on a pair of shoes. Do not expect thrift store prices though. The majority of the items are very high priced. If you want to pay $200 for a used dress you can get at Ross, this is the place for you. You can get deals, but that is a lucky rare find, just be prepared. Truth be told, I've had a long-standing internal feud with the It's A Wrap stores. Mostly because whenever I go to one, I leave feeling like a fat ass since most actresses seem to defy the laws of weight gain and some gene in my genetics missed the memo on how to rock the slim bod. Yes, it's silly to hate on a store for this, but hey, if nothing fits, what's the point? But yesterday on my way to Culver City, I decided to give this store a go-see. Hey, ya never know right? Maybe Kirstie Alley unloaded some of her wardrobe here and it will be a score score score kinda day for me. :) Well upon entering, I was smirking because wouldn't you know, the first thing I pull out is a size 0. Great, why do I do this to myself, again? As I continued to poke around I found a whopping large size 6! Awesome, my one leg can have some covering. But what's this...is that a size 8! Oh to the my, we are onto something!! ...Or not. Sadly, that was the biggest size I could find. An 8!!! I love this place a great way to shop second hand, and support sustainability. Film productions are notoriously wasteful, and that includes the wardrobe department. As with many other reviewers, we felt the staff could have been nicer. I had to keep asking what the codes meant. There are lists posted around the store but many codes are not listed. It would be much better to update the list. I felt I was bothering him. There was also a musty smell throughout the store. Otherwise, we really had fun looking through the clothes. There were some that were extremely good deals ($3-10) then, mostly upstairs, there were racks with clothes a lot more expensive ($70-150). I would recommend this store for people who are interested in clothes from TV/movies and to people looking for great deals. There is a whole lot of stuff so go when you have a fair amount of time to browse. Most of the women's clothes are very small sizes, but they do have some women's sizes and even maternity clothes. There are lots of t-shirts, men's dress shirts, and some suits. There is a fair amount of jewelry and shoes as well. This is a fun place to browse and try to find some great deals. read more

There's no pre-party better than a shopping preparty and that's what I did with Harmonie T before the Komodo Launch party, which is across the street from this place. SCORE! I thought we would be in here for 30 minutes and then maybe grab a bite before the party so I would be a polite boy with the food servers. We were here for nearly 1.5 hours! The selection is pretty awesome. Some stuff seemed like a steal and some stuff seemed ridiculously priced. I know what most brands cost and some seemed barely discounted. H&M shirts and Alfani ties shouldn't be around $20 and greek t-shirts shouldn't be over $10 unless it's pima cotton. But I did see a nice Theory car coat for $175. That's a hot deal that I wish was hotter. It's definitely more of a women's world at these places in terms of deals. This place definitely has unique stuff that ranges from vintage to modern to costumes with accessories and shoes to complete the outfit. Finally, I made it down to the LA location of It's a Wrap. Being Obsessed with the Burbank location I had to see if this one is just as good. I was not dissapointed. It's a big fuller and messier here, both inside and out. It seems more picked over, at first glance I thought there was nothing to be had. Closer look and a while in the dressing room later, I walked out with 4 dresses (Diane von Fuerstenberg, Black Halo, Collective Concepts and PRADA!!!!!!!!) and a shirt by Trina Turk all for $100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Prada was first marked at $700 and I guess been there awhile so marked down to $200, everything an additional 75% off as well. No rips of stains, though alot of the clothing has labels from the production company. (Bought Dresses for "Jessica" and "Eva") or WB barcodes sewn in, the Prada was worn on Private Practice and had a dry cleaning slip attached from Celebrity cleaners. All neat little additions, mixed with prices you will find NOWHERE else, not on Ebay, Loehmanns, TJ's or and other vintage boutiqes. Yes, its not set up as nice as Decades or other high end boutiques, but paying about $20 for $400 dresses i don't care how the store looks. I'll be back every chance I get. read more

It's the essence of It's a Wrap that makes it a fun experience. I'm not huge on celebrities and don't even watch TV (in fact, I haven't even plugged my TV into the electric socket in 2 years); but it's still fun walking into a store and knowing that the clothing came from the wardrobe closets of popular TV shows. It doesn't matter who wore it, or didn't. The point is that you can find cute high-end or obscure fashions at half the price. The store is very organized, with most racks explaining the shows that the clothing came from. During my visit, it was from "Extra", "General Hospital", "All my Children", "House", and "Cougar Hunting". However, they are not divided into sizes or clothing type so that makes it a bit difficult but also enjoyable because every time you flip a hanger, it's a surprise. The back of the store has jeans which are in impeccable shape looking barely worn (I saw a crisp pair of dark denim skinny jeans for only $20!!!) plus other dresses at cheaper prices and children's clothing. Upstairs lays the more expensive pieces, where the designer labels lurk and the fur coats. I can't afford that floor, but it's fun to look. I didn't look at the men's section but saw many male customers with hands filled with clothes. The shoes are great. Wonderful prices for what they are worth. I found some amazing heels that looked like they would be worn on a VERY fancy red carpet for $30. It is pricey but not when you think about how much the shoes originally cost. However, some of the shoes had foot sweat stains which was incredibly gross. I didn't find anything during my initial visit but the mere joy I had in searching and trying clothes on was well worth the trip. Customer Service was a bit cold, but hey, I can deal. read more

Oh no! I had to downgrade a star. I used to come here for years but today I was seriously disappointed. For one, the prices have seriously gone up. I mean, I don't care if the sandals are Prada. They are worn out, scuffed as all get out and you still want $110 for them? The clothes are slightly disorganized - you have to put back yourself what you don't want. So you can imagine how the store can get. There is the occasional good find - like some rhinestone-covered high heels for $15. But you really have to hunt. I come here to buy more pricier items on sale that I can't afford to purchase at retail price (like silk), and it's worth it. A new silk top at retail price is $100+, but you can get it for $60 at this store, and even better when they have sales. However, some items are tailored to fit the actor who wore it so it might be a weird fit on your body. It's rare to find Medium or Large sizes. Anything you find on the first level (more affordable clothing) isn't worth it in my opinion. I saw a used Uniqlo shirt for $15, but you can buy a brand new one at Uniqlo for $20 when they have sales. As for Covid protocol, the place is cramped and poorly ventilated, with ceiling fans blowing air in all directions. It was crowded when I went in and I felt really uncomfortable, especially when waiting in line cramped with other shoppers. So whilst in Hollywood we went in here and if you want to rub elbows with someone famous this is not the place to be. One must travel west a bit more to do that. Now if you are not finicky and would like to wear some article of clothing worn in a production by someone famous, then this is the place to be. Don't expect to buy something that Brad Pit or Angelina wore on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith because it may be out of your price range (definitely out of mine) but for some regular folks albeit actors then you may find something for you here. The price is not too bad for what you are getting. I am sure you will find something just for you and they have a deal going on, buy $50 worth and you get 20% off. Plenty of unique clothing for women, men and kids - in that order. It leans a bit more towards the women but men have lots to choose from. Excuse me, to hunt for. Lot of hit and miss but when you hit it's worth it. It's a treasure hunt and a lot of people have that engrained in their DNA. Since most of the clothing is one size, one of a kind (for the store) you have to find it and claim it. Then you have to make up your mind to purchase it because once you do - All Sales Are Final! I once bought a belt here in 2003 and I'm wearing it right now! It was on the set of who knows what by who knows who. Most of the clothing made it on set and some of it made it on screen. "From the set of Boomtown". "From the set of Glee!" Stuff like that. Then you come to find out that the actor sat on wet paint or stretched out the collar for whatever reason. It decreases the value significantly so you have to inspect every square inch of the item before you buy it. Things I've bought: Button up shirts (they have a wide array of them), jeans, corduroy pants (they are cool), slacks, a rain slicker and a belt. All of it was a bargain and had a decent shelf life, except for the slicker. The button fell off and it was ruined in the dryer. I once took my Grandmother here before the thrift store across the street and she gave it a thumbs down. Too rich for her blood. Old people. I swear we get cheaper as we get older, but I love her. The prices here are hilarious. Like actually laughing out loud in disbelief at the tag. They charge close to new retail or over retail pricing for used clothing. Like $80 for a plain $5 goodwill level t shirt and $195 for a past season J Crew blazer. Even with the discounts this place makes no logical sense. The idea of buying movie prop clothing is appealing but truthfully studios aren't buying thousand dollar clothes, they're just buying cheap normal clothes for the army of extras walking through the movie sets daily. Zero designer, zero exceptional clothing or vintage just the most mundane outfits for background extras from the 2010s. Studios are obviously not letting go of their prize celebrity worn outfits, so this stores makes no logical sense selling used junk clothing for hundreds of dollars. read more

Best secondhand (if you could even call it that...) store I've ever been to. Items are from studios - perhaps worn one-a few times; some still have tags on them and are brand new. Items all around are a mix between designer and cheap (think Target and the like). Everything is marked with a tag indicating the show/studio it's from. Makes it fun to shop. Give yourself plenty of time to peruse all the racks and you'll get a steal. I recently went during their sale, which made it even better. I've gotten a sweater, designer jeans, and a nice dress there in the past and visits in my future will only yield more. Extra YAYs for a deal. Beware that this is not a goodwill/inexpensive place, but you will get bargians on the items you find. Very cool place. One of those stores that could only exist in Los Angeles. There's a pretty good selection of past productions' wardrobes, including gowns, bras, shoes, hats, men's clothing, etc. The best part is, you can see exactly where the items came from. Some recent productions were Dexter, Weeds, Desperate Housewives, Men in Black 3, and 90210, among many others. Upstairs, they have a unique Halloween section as opposed to typical Halloween costume shops. I was there yesterday and saw heavy knight's armor, boy scout uniforms, lab coats, FBI and Police hats, motorcycle jackets, and a suit made from Lisa Frank stickers (seriously). I also appreciate their occasional sales to bring the costs down and keep merchandise fresh. Like last week, the entire store was 50% off (before the Halloween section opened). My oldest nephew was turning 16, and I wanted to get him something different and luckily, he likes having nice clothes I happened to be driving in Burbank and passed this place, made a mental note to go back. I went back and spend a couple hours digging through the racks trying to find things I thought he would like, and also trying to see if I could find stuff from shows or movies he had actually heard of. On the tags there are codes that you can match up with the list on the wall to see where it came from, some are generic codes that mean it just came from the Fox lot. Out front there is a bargain rack where everything was way marked down, and I managed to score a couple items of that rack. I dug through the stuff inside, and wished he was with me to try stuff on, there were handmade shirts with no sizing, that you need to try on, for the ridiculous price of I think $15 I looked through the items for ladies, and basically as other people said, you need to be a stick, but it was fun looking at all the fancy designer duds upstairs. Definitely better deals and size ranges to be had in the men's department. I ended up with several nice shirts, ties, and tshirts all for about $20. I wanted a hat, but was told they had been scooped up before I got there. Quite a few items still had tags and showed they came from places like TJ Maxx, but if you go through everything you can find more unique items. The staff was nice, I asked some questions because I'd never been there before, and they let me stash the items I had picked up by the register while I continued going through the racks to make sure I hadn't missed anything. Well no It's a bunch of racks of thrift store clothing, Undershirts, basic clothes, nothing fabulous. It's what all the extra's wear I'm sure from show's you've never even heard of. Nothing Great and everything overpriced. I don't mind paying a little extra for used clothes if it's good stuff but you'd get a better deal buying it at a different store and it will be new. I enjoy a good treasure hunt, so I liked coming here. Like any consignment store, the inventory will change on a regular basis, but it seems to be a mix of high-low labels. For some reason, the "NCIS" rack had a lot of cute, designer dresses from DVF, Cynthia Steffe, Rebecca Taylor. None of them were a "steal," per se, but the prices are fair, considering how lightly used some of the clothing is here. I noticed a couple of things still even had the original tags. I also like that all of the clothing and shoes are sorted by color and type, although I am really suspicious about the number of heavy winter coats that were on the "True Blood" rack. (Isn't that show set in Louisiana? How many winter scenes could they possibly film?) Anyway, today they were having a 30 percent off sale on all jewelry, so I bought a necklace that was supposedly on the show "Lights Out." So I will now forever associate this necklace with a bunch of boxers, slugging it out on FX. read more

OK so I come here a lot I couldn't care less about where the clothes are from. However that attitude from some not all staff is wild to me. I saw a shirt and noticed it had some weird stains on it which actually looked like blood to be honest. Instead of putting it back on the rack I made a worker aware and instead of her grabbing the item which was disgusting and taking it away she just stared into the abyss so I put the item back on the rack like she said where there was other clothing. They were super helpful to help me find the perfect things that went along with what I selected. It's a really big store! The other friendly person I found was the woman at the counter. This other customer was taking forever to check out and she saw I was only holding one thing. Good prices on nice used clothing.... Horrible service... And it's not even the people that work there...they are great!!! It's the company not updating it's POS POS system... The counter register seems to run off Windows 98 and a dial up modem. Wait times are unbearable. I've been here twice and I found a couple of good items. You have to really have time to look, like hours because the clothes are so cluttered. There are no baskets so you end up carrying a lot of clothes while looking through endless piles of clothing. The shoes look disgusting. The real dealbreaker though, is the service. The guy at the cash register was super rude and condescending when I asked what the final price of an item was. There were two kinds of sale -50 or -75% so I asked for clarification and he barked at me. After that I didn't want to buy anything the second time and I don't think I will be returning. I have always found great stuff here, but this past weekend I went in and when I went to pay, the cashier was completely not paying attention on her phone, listening to music or something. I paid her in cash and she short-changed me. I questioned it to her and she said she couldn't give me my full change because she's really low on cash in the register... WHAT?!? Seekers of some very rad and somewhat familiar stuff may want to take a peek over here (but only if you are not my size- xs/0/6.5 shoe) You may have seen such items in... a few photoshoots or perhaps on your favorite sitcom. I won't show you everything that I got, but here's a few of my good little finds... a pair of vintage vine and pearl earrings (sadly one was lost in a night of... nunya) a pair of thigh high black vinyl boots worn by playboy barbie doll Barbara Moore (washed off before I wore of course) and one button up orange blouse with black and white corset sewn atop worn by someone on Freaks and Geeks. They have some designer pieces as well, which... well some are great but you have to PAY for it. For me, this is arguably better than "upscale thrifts" somewhat similar to it. It's not as posh and as organized, and sorry, you still have to dig to find things, but it is not your dusty and dingy thrift. There are a few dressing rooms in the back. It's not a really big store though. But for what it is and the organization... you might get lucky and find a treasure or 3... well so long as you're not my size& I don't snag it first ;) read more

First and foremost what makes this location better than the one on Robertson Boulevard is the customer service. The people that work here are always helpful and friendly. Also I feel like it's easier to find affordable things at this location. In addition the selection of skirts and dresses are a lot better as well. I'll admit on some occasions it's true that you won't find anything that you love, but when you do it's great! It's kind of fun to pay a decent amount of money for clothes that are from some awesome shows and movies. Overall this place is worth checking out! read more

There are a bunch of suits, gowns, dress shoes, etc. They're all second-hand items, but wait........ they're all still so pricey. You have a better shot at finding something more trendy at Buffalo (although I don't like very much either) or Goodwill. It's a hit or miss. Items here depends on what movies or shows have concluded.
