I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn future guests. We rented a home in Portland for a week expecting the amenities that were advertised. Unfortunately, there were multiple maintenance issues throughout our stay, the most significant of which was the complete failure of the air conditioning during a heat advisory. We reported the AC issue immediately. Despite repeated follow-up messages over more than 36 hours, we never received a meaningful update regarding when it would be repaired. The thermostat was set to 70°, but the temperature inside the house reached 83°F by 10:00 PM. None of us slept well, and the home remained without working AC for the remainder of our stay. This wasn't the only issue. The hair dryer that was listed as an amenity was missing. The primary bathroom door was pulling away from the door jamb. Before booking, I specifically asked whether the grill was available because we planned to cook several meals there. I was told it was, but it did not function properly and struggled to grill food. What disappointed me most was the response. After spending more than 24 hours without air conditioning during a heat advisory, the only compensation initially offered was a $100 refund and a late checkout. We did not feel that reflected the impact these issues had on a $2,700 stay. I understand that maintenance issues can happen. What matters is how they're handled. In our case, the problem was never resolved during our stay, communication was poor, and the proposed resolution did not match the severity of the situation. COMPANY HAS A CHANCE TO IMPROVE THIS 1* RATING... We booked an Airbnb that was managed by iTrip and prior to getting to the house everything seemed great. Their response time was good and they confirmed there would be a crib, a pack n play, and a high chair waiting for us. Fast forward to when we arrive at around 4pm. We look around and don't see any of the promised items. I call them and they direct me to look everywhere in all the closets, in a locked closet, etc., and ALL THREE items are nowhere to be found. We have 2 babies under 2, so you can see how much of an issue this would cause (also we would've just brought our own stuff if we needed to...). They say on the phone, oh wow that is not good and I see in our messages that we said all three items would be there, please let me "speak to senior management" and the "owner" and get back to you. Then they respond at around 530 with this long message basically saying "oh the items aren't there, and we should not have said they would be, and we'll look into this matter further and update you, yadda yadda yadda" I text them back immediately and tell them our babies go to sleep about 730 so please update us as soon as possible. We eat dinner, and at 7pm we have not heard from them and I call/text them, no reply until 715 saying "we have not received approval from the owner regarding the baby items, we may not have an update until tomorrow. we'll update asap" blah blah blah So obviously we need to go out and buy pack n plays for our kids now in a small town (Newberg, OR) and luckily buy literally the last pack n play available at the big box store I'm forgetting the name. They specifically say "If you need to purchase cribs for your children, please save the receipt and send it to us. We'll escalate it to our senior management team for reimbursement review". I respond, "no not review, you will reimburse and this is ridiculous." The next morning we get their auto AI "I hope your check in was smooth, first night restful, blah blah blah WE ALWAYS STRIVE TO PROVIDE A 5 STAR STAY EXPERIENCE FOR EVERY GUEST. ANYTHING LESS THAN 5 STAR AND WE FEEL AS IF WE FAILED. IF THERE IS ANYTHING THAT IS AN ISSUE OR THAT WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF FOR YOU PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO LET US KNOW. YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL OR TEXT DIRECTLY AT 503-230-0534" My response: "Still waiting on the promised items. But thanks for your AI morning message..." Back and forth for the weekend of them continuing to say they apologize and they will escalate to "senior management team" etc blah etc blah. I send them my receipt for $83 and request for partial reimbursement on the Airbnb due to not having appropriate sleeping arrangements as promised. They once again say thanks for sending over, we'll escalate to senior management team, blah blah blah. Our stay ended June 7th. June 10th They say they haven't forgotten about the reimbursement. they're waiting results of "the recent inspection of the home and once they have more info they'll coordinate. they appreciate patience, etc. I immediately respond "What do you mean "awaiting results of the inspection". How is that even related?" I then follow up with Hello? they don't respond. June 18th I realize they have not followed up via text/call/airbnb message. I ask "Hello I'm still waiting on my refund". June 22nd: "Hello? We need our refund please." They never respond. I text their number today June 26th "Hello? We are still waiting on our refund." "Wella, Vic, Chris, Charm, anybody please respond. You are ignoring us. We had to spend $85 and also expect a refund since our airbnb did not have TWO CRIBS that were promised." They finally respond... "Good morning, Upon your check out our team inspected and did not find the purchased items. The refund can only be applied if the items were left there. -Chris, iTrip Northwest" I respond basically: "you never said to leave the items. this is ridiculous." We rented a house through iTrip on Airbnb in Gresham, Oregon, and let me say this will be the last time I ever rent a property managed by iTrip. As soon as we arrived, before even entering the home, we noticed a very strong cat urine smell outside. When we went inside, the smell was even worse. We tried opening the sliding glass doors to see if airing the place out would help, but it did not. Within the first 30 minutes, our friend began having an allergic reaction. I contacted the management company and explained the situation. They told me a manager would call me back, but we waited almost an hour and a half without hearing anything. I finally called them back and spoke with a customer service agent. She said they could send housekeeping out first thing in the morning. I explained that would not work because we could not stay in the house due to the smell and the health concerns. She said they would call me back again. While waiting, we looked at another iTrip home (which, looking back, I'm not sure why we did) and thought it might be easier to stay local so they could help us transfer to another property. When the agent called me back, she said, "Oh, I see you reserved another home. Let me speak with my manager and see if we can transfer you." She returned shortly after and said, "My manager approved the transfer. All we need to do is confirm the house has been cleaned. If it has, I'll send you the door code and you should be all set." At no point did she say anything about us being charged for two homes. After spending about two hours in the Gresham house with the strong cat urine smell, we gathered our belongings--which we never even unpacked--and left after receiving the text message with the door code for the new house we were being transferred to. After our trip, I noticed that they never reversed the charge for the first property. Now I am being charged for two vacation rentals when we only used one. When I contacted the property manager, they told me, "Sorry, but you reserved two homes and we will not be refunding you. That is our final resolution." I explained that their customer service representative transferred us and never mentioned that we would be charged for both homes. Long story short: run from iTrip. The franchise owners may not be aware of how the current property management company is running the business for them, but judging by all the one-star reviews, they may want to take a closer look at their property managers and their practices. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We rented a home in Portland OR and on the morning after our first night, found water coming up through the floorboards in the basement. Our personal items were soaked. They barely responded saying it would be assessed after we checked out the next day. I asked for follow-up because the water was getting worse as we stayed. I didn't really want compensation, just acknowledgement or a thanks for letting them know of the issue. They put me off for two days then weirdly offered me $100. I would never trust these renters again and worry that they're still renting this place out with squishy basement floors and a huge water issue. read more

There were dead bugs on the furniture, spiders all over the ceiling, the beds were not made, there were towels from the previous guests still on the floor, dirty dishes in the sink. The best part is they refused to give me a refund!! I had to have the weight of AirBNB force iTrip vacations to give me one! Turns out they have terrible reviews online and this happens all the time! This company is only interested in taking your money! We rented a place in lincoln city oregon. Curb appeal = looked like an abandoned dumpy shed, like something you would see in a horror movie. With tall weeds growing on the roof and in the rain gutters, and what appeared to be the front door covered in old spider webs. Finally found the front door they pictured - it was on the opposite side of the building, and appeared to have been broken many times. The frame was torn up, as if by a crow bar. Upon entry, the place smelled of greasy stale food, mold, and mildew. Soon after entry, my wife's allergies started up. I called the ITRIP people, and told them we could not stay there because of my wife's health, and the horrible smell. They gave me the run-around, saying they would have to reach out to mgmt the next day. I told them we were leaving and wanted a refund. Other issues with this place: what appeared to be dried dog urine on the wall, spiders, silver fish, greasy filthy old appliances, cookware was old, with chipped teflon, which is toxic to humans, old open containers of food in the cupboard, like flour and seasonings, cobwebs on light fixtures, "octopus" electrical outlets, and generally very unappealing. They did not issue our refund, saying we were outside the limits of their rental agreement, because we cancelled the night we were supposed to begin our stay. I told them and our credit card company the main issue was my wife's health, and they both ignored that. We ended up having to search for a motel near midnight, and thereby paid for our stay twice. Don't ever book any AirBnB with Itrip vacations. When we arrived there was no pellets for the pellets stove and the house was freezing. We used the little cadet heater and the mini-slide, but basically froze until we got pellets the next day. But the pellets stove wasn't functioning properly, because it kept alarming and shutting off. This continued through the week. I used the dishwasher and it leaked, the window by the front door leaked when it rained. The Pellet stove worked almost the entire night when we put an entire bag in it. And we ended up leaving early because we both ended up sick. And they wouldn't refund me even one night. The hot tub had so much chlorine it burned my boyfriend's sinuses. read more

We rented the iTrip, North Fork Hideaway in Washougal. We requested an early check in for the day of our arrival [10.9.24]. We were granted the early check-in of 1pm instead of 4pm for $60. When we arrived at 1pm the code we were given didn't work. We tried the code given to us multiple times. While trying the code we noticed a lot (20+) insects/bugs above the front door and kitchen window. We called iTrip, & the guy we spoke to didn't know much about the property. He told us he would contact someone who did & have them call us. We finally entered the cabin at 1:33pm. Once in, we toured the cabin to check that everything was good. Walking through the cabin, we killed a few insects & bugs. We didn't think anything of it because in a cabin you may come across a couple of outside crawlers. While unpacking, we killed a few more bugs & insects. They looked like the bugs that were above the front door. Again, we didn't think much of it, this wasn't our first cabin in the woods. As time went on, we killed a couple spiders & more insects. It wasn't until we started to cook that it all became too much. We had to kill a couple of bugs in the kitchen while cooking & they weren't on the floor. At that point, we looked at each other & said, okay, this isn't normal. We contacted iTrip, they asked if we had pictures. It didn't cross our minds to take pictures before killing the spiders & bugs. So we took pictures of the bugs outside above the door to show the type. Their response, you're in a cabin in the woods & those bugs are harmless. Well, "harmless" pests can still be a nuisance & impact the habitability of a cabin. We'd been in the cabin about 3hrs & knew the presence of the bugs/insects in the cabin would get worse once the sun went down. They responded & said, we understand that it's impacting your stay, however we are unable to provide you a refund. If there's anything we can do/provide to ensure your comfort during your stay, do not hesitate to let us know. Really?? We decided to leave, we cleaned and left at 8:04pm. In deciding to leave, we lost the groceries we purchased for our stay ($100). We had to find a decent hotel to check in the same day, so that was expensive. And, we would have to eat out for every meal. iTrip is a horrible company to book your vacation/getaway with. read more

During my stay someone access the property without notifying me! It was a very uneasy feeling to know some one helped themself in my temporary home. I called and texted ITrip a few times, hours later they responded. One person stated the owners came in and other employee said it was an associate. They said only accessed the garage, which has direct access to the rest of the house and reminded them the garage is my personal space too. Whether it was the garage or kitchen it doesn't matter, they came into my private space without notification. This made me feel very unsafe. ITrip gave me a canned apology. At this point ITrip had lost any credibility so the apology was empty. At no time did they take ownership in the mistake of accessing the property without notice. Zero stars. Shady business that misrepresents their properties. The beach house we stayed at was so disgusting we decided to leave the next day. We requested one night refund multiple times, but were ignored by the property manager. I wrote a review on their website but it was not posted. Never book thru iTrip. Always book thru Airbnb or Vrbo directly, so they can deal with shady companies like that and refund if something goes wrong. Here's my review that iTrip never posted: Beautiful beach and gorgeous ocean view. Unfortunately, that was it. The house had moldy cigarette smell, dirty carpet with pee stains everywhere to the extent we that we didn't feel comfortable taking our shoes off. Bedding had human and dog hair in it. Property management responded promptly to our complaints offering housekeeping services, which we politely declined since no housekeeping would be able to replace disgusting carpet and get rid of the moldy smell. We decided to cut our three night vacation short after spending one night at the whale's tale and left the following day. Property management ignored our multiple requests to refund at least one night. We've vacationed a lot and are not complainers; this property had zero attention to detail and there was nothing "luxury" about it, the caption was simply deceiving. The absolute worst Airbnb experience I have ever had. Avoid these scammers. They are awful and none of their properties are as described.

Avoid using iTrip Northwest. I made a reservation (and paid a large deposit to hold the property) in November 2023. In January, they notified me they had to cancel the reservation, but offered two (sub-par) alternatives. We were able to make one of the alternates work, and I received a confirming email and text from iTrip NW. When I tried to review the reservation this week, the property showed as "unavailable for those dates." They rented the second property during some of the dates I reserved and put down a deposit on. Trying to resolve the situation with "guest services" was a complete waste of time and efforts. I had to make 3 separate requests to even receive an accounting of my November deposit, and all they would do to accommodate their mistake is suggest other properties they manage. Still have not received the refund on the $1400-plus deposit. This company cannot be trusted to honor reservations and their "guest services" is a joke. read more

I booked one of this company's properties through VRBO only to be told after booking that I was required to submit to an extra verification step (a photo of myself) due to the fact that I have an international credit card. I have been booking vacation rentals in Oregon for 10+ years with my international credit card and have never experienced this. When I asked for the documentation that showed that this was the policy, it was not produced. When I refused to send them the photo of myself and instead offered to send a copy of my id, residence permit, and credit card to verify that it is indeed mine, they cancelled my reservation. Their excuse: they run an online business and need the photo to verify my identity since they can't do it in person. This "extra verification" policy, however, is not for all online bookings. It is just for people who hold foreign credit cards. How is this not anti-foreigner discrimination?! If this is their policy, shouldn't they require this ALL online bookings since they are never able to verify anyone's identity in person? This company needs to take a serious look at their policies (which they won't, because they already told me they won't). I implore anyone who has a foreign card or is asked to abide by this discriminatory "extra verification" to refuse! Booked two nights in an ITrip airbnb. The listing was wildly misrepresented. The condo we were expecting turned out to be a basement in a shared home with a microwave, toaster, and mini fridge. Definitely not a "kitchen space where guests can cook meals." We were woken up repeatedly from 5am to 8am by loud stomping and Young children playing above our bedroom. They repeatedly ignored our texts and I actually had to call from a different number to talk to them. Ended up being charged $350 for a single Horrible night. read more

I rented a property through the VRBO application with iTrip Vacations Northwest. Our stay was for 3 nights beginning 5/20/21, checking out on 5/23/21. On the morning of 5/22, we lost water in the house. We called iTrip and spoke to Corey and he said he would look into it. Approximately two hours later, we had to curtail our vacation activities to go home and check the water with no luck and with no follow up from iTrip. We called iTrip and spoke to Corey again and he advised us to reset the circuit breakers in the house - still no water. Approximately two hours later we called again and spoke to Corey and he said we need to reset the circuit breaker in the pump house, requiring us to hike 50 yards into the woods and climb down a ladder into the pump house pit. That actually worked, though only for about an hour per reset. We had to continually climb down into an unsafe pit. iTrip never initiated communication; I did. Corey promised an unsatisfactory $250 rebate which I've yet to see. read more
