First time here. I took my 16 year old to get her eyebrows done. We are house of beauty clients but the last time we went, they messed up her shape. Sabina at iThread was really nice and walked us threw what she was going to do. My daughter loved her eyebrows. Definitely going back. The only thing I can complain about is that they have a toy area for kiddos and it was really really dirty. Well walked out with only one eyebrow done. The girl that assisted me was plucking one hair at a time. And when she told me to look at that one eyebrow that she had done, it look like nothing had been done to my eyebrow. Ask if she was barely learning how to do this they said no she been doing it for a while and she just likes to take her time. I don't mind you taking your time but at least I want my eyebrows to look like they were just done. Was going to wait for the second person that seemed to have all the clients waiting for her. But my time is running out so I paid for the one eyebrow... Yelp you failed me this time... Lol... think I go to work with only one eye done.. honestly can't do nothing about it but laugh I just would not recommend this place. read more

When I was living/working in MoVal, this was my Go-To! They're gentle, they take their time, and they look at your brows vs. your face. They'll suggests growing your 'brows and asking your permission to either clean/let a section grow before they proceed. Many threading spots loooove over-threading my 'brows. They tend to make my 'brows look like long lost third cousins that hate each rather than trying to make them look like sisters. But this spot will cut, trim, clean and even tell you where to not touch and let grow to make them even. They won't force you or tell you no, so if you want them to remove certain hairs, they'll listen to you because that's what you want. They take their time, regardless of how many people are waiting, and make sure both are coming out symmetrical. I really miss this place because it was one of the few places that really paid attention to how my hairs grew, their natural shape, and to my liking. read more

I've been here a few times now and had my brows done by two different women. Both were nice and professional. What I like most about this place is that they will give you their opinion.... in a nice way they tell you to stop over-plucking a certain area or whatever their feedback is. In the past, ithread was my go to for eyebrow threading. I'm not certain if there a change in ownership, however in the past 3 months their see has drastically gone downhill. I don't see the same personnel and the new woman who sits at the reception desk is intolerable! On two occasions I was encouraged to leave because the wait may be too long and they were going to lunch! On another occasion, which will be my last visit, they began talking about customers! Decided to finally do my eyebrows for the first time ever. Was scared and wanted something safe and quick. My mother told me to go wax but I heard that could rip skin off. So I opted for threading. This place, with its current 5-star rating, caught my eye. So I went over today after my haircut. When I first came in, I was greeted by a girl doing someone else's brows. The place was pretty empty, but it was very clean. Empty was good, as I was immediately seated by the owner (I assume) herself. She was a very nice woman who listened to me and consoled me throughout the process. When she asked what I wanted to do with my brows, I told her I didn't know because it was my first time, so she took initiative, but told me what she was going to do, how she was going to do it and such. I found that really reassuring, as I didn't know what I wanted, but I knew that I didn't want someone just to do whatever with them. From the start, she kept light chat about it, helping me hold my eyelid and forehead and asking if I was okay or if I needed a break. Was over quite fast, and I thought it'd be worse/painful. Process was quick and easy, a bit pinch-y at times, but not a problem. She also asked if I wanted to do my upper lip, saying that'd it'd be only $10 for both lip and brows, so I agreed. May as well right? Same stuff happened with my brows and after all that, she rubbed in some really nice smelling aloe vera and told me to come back in 2 weeks to do it again. I definitely will come back here. They've made me very comfortable now and I don't fear threading as much as I thought. Cheers. read more

I recently discovered this gem from my roommate who took me here for the first time a few weeks ago and I can't wait to go back! The ladies who work here are so amazing. Sabina took care of me during my threading session -- I love her! She sat me down and had me take a look at my brows; she then pointed out what she was going to do to help them look their best. Out of all of the threading places that I've been to, none of the workers have ever really let me know what they were going to do. After, reading all the positive comments, I decided to try my luck and Im very happy I did. This place is clean, inexpensive and efficient. I've never been one to have "a ___ lady," but I knew from the first time I had my eyebrows threaded by Sabina that she was going to be my brow lady. During my first visit, Sabina cleaned up my brows beautifully, but then she took the time to explain why she left some parts of my brows to grow out, what my ideal brow shape should be, and came up with a game plan to combat my overly thin, too short brows, which had been over waxed and over threaded in the past by other hair removal establishments. Now, when I look back to my brows "pre-Sabina" days, I can't help but cringe! For a while, I ONLY wanted Sabina to work on my brows, and unfortunately, so does everyone else! Eventually I started branching out, especially on days where I couldn't wait, and I've found that each of the other ladies in the shop are just as meticulous and caring in their craft. My husband has seen Angie on numerous occasions, purely coincidental (she calls me "The Boss" because she knows she's gotta run his final look by me!) and I have as well, along with Rocio and one other woman. Everyone is sweet, everyone knows what they are doing, and everyone is helpful! Take it from someone who has major trust issues that if you can't work with Sabina, you would be in very capable hands with any of the other ladies! On a side note, but also demonstrating their friendliness and helpfulness, I was in need of a sari for a party, and two or three of the ladies in the shop gave me a list of shops to visit. The next time I came, they remembered and asked to see pictures! In a world where most of the time you're just another face in the crowd to serve, it's nice to be remembered. Unless you come right when the shop opens, there is almost always a line, but trust me, people wait because this place is worth it! Now that we've moved to San Diego, I find myself missing this little shop, Sabina, and all the ladies there. Maybe they should consider opening a shop in North San Diego? ;) read more

This place has been my to-go for when I need my brows threaded. Literally, all the ladies that have worked with me have always been kind and polite. They never mess up my brows, which is a great relief to me. In the past, Sabina (I don't get why people keep spelling her name as Sabrina when, in fact, it's SABINA) is always the woman I ask for. Lately, however, I usually just let any of the ladies work on me. Sabina is too popular now and almost always has a long list behind her; But anyway, all the ladies her are fabulous, as I've mentioned. They do great work BUT they need to wash or sanitize their hands before working with every customer. They have sanitizer at their work station but they don't use it. Even when I ask them they barely put any on and they seem annoyed that I ask. I shouldn't have to ask they need to do it automatically. Also they use the same brush and scissor with every client. Sanitation is a very big very big deal and they do not take is seriously . read more

So far so good! Been here several times now to leave my review. I always go to Sabina or Angie they are both great and they always ask what it is that I want and they work with me Sabina noticed that one of my eyebrows didn't have an arch like the other she has been working with me to make sure that my eyebrows are thread but leaves some hair untouched so that I can being to get my arch back on that eyebrow. & slowly it is definitely coming back! They even have a stamp card your 8th visit is free (free eyebrow threading)! read more
