She has continually been challenged and supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Her artwork includes still-life and portrait drawings. She writes her name in cursive and was empowered to read at the age of five. She has solid math skills and knows all the continents...This is but a taste of what she has learned. More importantly, she is empowered to learn. The classroom environment allows her to help guide her own growth while challenging her to work on skills that will help her in the future (including things like using a hammer and nails and taking space in a place like a "peace loft" when she needs to!). She hasn't just learned how to be a student: she has learned how to be a human being in her world and contribute to it. People constantly comment on how "mature" she is for her age. She has self-control, she's relatively independent, she shows empathy for others, she is endlessly curious and asks thoughtful questions, and she can talk rather deeply about her feelings - among a myriad of other notable qualities related to her time at Namaste. The teachers are incredible, and the progress reports are detailed depictions of our daughter in the classroom. The school also encourages family participation throughout the year, including a "bring an adult to school day" and "gardening day." It is a beautiful community. My husband and I often remark on how Namaste is one of the best decisions we made as parents. What an incredible gift to give her this foundation for the rest of her life.

The staff in the infant room have all been warm, bright, creative, patient, and so awesome at responding to the ever-changing needs of our little girl. She had not been in daycare before--we had a sitter who came to our home--and they worked with us to help make the transition as easy on her as possible. And, as she has grown and developed, they have provided new activities to keep her engaged. (Shout out to Ms. Alyssa, Ms. Katie, Ms. Hillary!) Walking in, you frequently hear the joyful squeals and chatter of children in the older classrooms. The setting is great, too: big outdoor play areas, lots of grass and trees, and the kids get plenty of fresh air and exercise. I just can't say enough good things about our daughter's experience there. Ultimately, I knew we made the right choice enrolling her at Smart Start because, when I would come to pick her up, I'd peek in the window, or stand around the corner where she could not see me--and my girl always looked happy.

My mother was verbally assaulted by an employee today. She went to the wrong parking lot when…read moretrying to donate, she was confused by the cones and signage so she thought she'd just park and walk over with the box. Before she even got the box out of the car an older white man, red faced, screamed at the top of his lungs "you can wait in line like everybody else". She got back in the car because she was so scared by him. She reparked and went inside to tell the manager because it was so upsetting. The mam followed her inside and stood next to her leaned forward and intimidating while she politely explained what happened to the manager. Then she left without donating. She came home shaking and crying. I'm furious that this happened and want the employee fired. He was a 65ish white male, blue shirt, blue shorts, working at the donations. This man is out of hand and needs to be addressed.

I had a faucet that was leaking, causing mold and leakage onto my kitchen floor, that needed service quickly. Though I did not call for urgent service, the plumbers were over within two hours. They installed my faucet, explained what had happened, offered advice, and removed all used parts, which was all done neatly and within a short amount of time. Joe was reliable, knowledgeable, incredibly polite (even took off his shoes upon entering), honest, and did what he said he was going to do at the price point quoted. Called for a shower that was backing up in our bedroom. It was about on hour in that he looked at…read morethe shower. He had camera scoped the clean out drain to the septic etc. and no issues. Got to the shower and first plunged it (with my plunger) and broke the plunger. Then snaked it. After about 30 minutes of hearing the banging of the snaking I came in to see what was happening. The clog was worse and he seemed baffled as to why. Mentioned that the snake was fully extended and he didn't know where it all was going - that it made no sense. I walked downstairs to find water pouring through the ceiling and a sink overflowing. He proceeded to say that "that was already like that". That we are now at about something like $400 for his time thus far and to keep going we are looking at $300 more. My response was that I think I would have noticed if I had water leaking like that I would have noticed and pointed out that we were just down here scoping the clean out and there was not water pouring out - this just happened. I asked what he thinks might be going on, did he break a pipe snaking? His response was "I am going to leave it there" As in I am walking out with water pouring through your celling and out your sink. I was shocked and barely holding back tears. His response was "this is my business and I don't want you to sue me". He did indeed walk out. It took me 24 hours to get something else here and in that time a pipe burst in our wall causing even more damage. Turned out he broke the shower pan when snaking causing the issues - yet another issue we are left fixing. What a nightmare and beyond unprofessional.

We were told they had a small truck and a large one for whole households and that we'd be the smaller truck and gave us a quote. Today they showed up, put 4 things on a mostly empty trailer (not truck) and told us that was all they could take. If we wanted to fill the trailer it would be twice as much. It was unbelievable, very misleading. We had them unload the few items and they left (telling us good luck finding anyone else.) They may have gotten good reviews from those who only need a specific item or items taken, but beware of hiring them for anything else. Oh, and by the way, they request to be paid in cash rather than check.
