My son takes practice at this place and I simply call to ask a simple question today around 415 that employee that works there. Was extremely rude. And when I asked her for her name, she refused to give me her name. Overall horrible experience.! I am following up by emailing the manager.

My kids are taking classes here so instead of just sitting around, I rent the ball machine. $15/ hour isn't bad. It includes the court rental. Then I found out if my kids are in class, the rental is 50% off. YAY!! Mary (in the shop/office) is super nice and informative. The courts are very clean and well kept. My kids are loving their tennis lessons. The coaches are great with the kids. They keep it fun and interesting for them (Little Hitters and Big Hitters). They are on their second session now. They also sell, balls, rackets, shoes, snacks and drinks. Lots of shady parking. The courts with the most shade are 4, 8 and 12.

Came here for the iTennis tournament. It was nice, lots of tree shaded parking, with proximity to Arcadia Westfield mall.

Sadly, in Southern California I can't think of a single set of courts that are not concrete. That is certainly the case here and because there is so little shade until late in the day, the five courts are like mini-heat islands just waiting to suck you dry. Ironically, the courts are hidden by these really large bushes that make them really hard to see. Yet, somehow, they provide almost no shade. So, if you play, go in the early evening when there is some shade and it's cool. The one thing I will say, however, is that because they are hidden, you can usually get a court. Just a head's up for any Yelp tennis players out there. Oh well - at least the heat gives me an excuse for my terrible game! Plus, its free! None of that paying for courts nonsense.

Feels like you're playing on rooftops above the surrounded houses which is simply awesome. Can find lots of tennis balls behind... Bad part: the sun feels extra unforgiving while playing on the court than the sun say like next door.. Since the courts are blocked off from the outside world with the tall walls, there isn't much airflow to give u some relief breezes.. There isn't any light for when the sun set, nor is there a bathroom I think

We totally didn't stop by here for a raid ;) Parking: The park has a directional parking lot with the entrance starting near the tennis courts. The exit will take you by the Hugo Reid Primary School. There's plenty of parking but be aware of the sign that cautions against the Foul Ball area closer to the baseball field. If you want to be closer to the play area, there's street parking available that can be accessed from De Anza Pl; just be kind to the residents living nearby. Environment: This place has plenty of amenities. There are 3 tennis courts as well as a baseball field, batting cages (indoor and out), and a play area. The play area is closer to the Primary school and even has handball courts. Occasionally, you might spot some peafowl here too. The parking lot puts you in close proximity to the tennis courts, batting cages, and the baseball field. According to the sign, you'll need to get a permit to use the baseball field. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This park is pretty nice. It's well maintained and has lots to keep you entertained. The grass area is huge and you can easily take a nice walk around; too bad there isn't a walking path.

Again, there are 8 permanent pickleball courts. We used two of them. We didn't have to wait nor did we have to give up our courts during our visit. We got almost 2 full hours of fun play until it got dark. So cool! Courts were really nice. However, they may need to be swept and rinsed down. There are 3 entrances onto the courts. Benches are available on one side. The waitlist rotation paddle system is closer to the benches. Restrooms are nearby the courts, but if they are closed, you'll have to walk over to the other restrooms near the children's playground or basketball courts area. Btw, the pickleball courts do not have any lights for night play. Once it gets dark, you'll have to call it a night! However, the tennis courts do have lights for evening play. If allowed (not sure), you may bring your portable pickleball net and lines for use. Just a thought. Weekends will probably be very crowded. So come early to snatch a court for however long possible until waitlist rotation comes into the picture. I'll definitely be back to LOP for more fun pickleball play. Thanks LOP! Sorry, still no photos at this time.

Only place I know within reasonable driving distance near me where you don't have to share a court…read morewith strangers or sit around and wait your turn to play tennis or pickleball. Who wants that? Of course, you need a paid membership here for that privilege. Membership is tiered and you can pay just to play tennis or pickleball and the highest tier allows access for all the courts, including the squash and racketball ones inside. With a paid membership and through their app, you can book a time slot to reserve your court. Hardest times to get are around 5 pm and up on weeknights as those are considered prime times. Weekends during the day are usually easier to get as well, although after 7 pm the courts are open to the public and everyone in LA comes out and it's the wild west. Everyone floods the best courts - 5 and 6 which are dedicated pickleball courts, the only 2 in the compound - and then you get a real spectacle of players, from average to really good players. There is an elitist expectation it seems that only good players are allowed to play on these two courts, which is just laughable and leaves a stink of pickleball snobiness all around. But oh well. Just as a side rant here: anyone can play pickleball and be good at it. You don't have to be incredibly athletic to excel. Just go out and watch and you'll know what I'm talking about. Another annoyance is that eiquette and basic courtesy are often compromised during these open hours. Some times, you'll have a few rude idiots that just walk through your court instead of coming in from the outside. I don't know what it is, but pickleball seems to attract a lot of people who lack self awareness! Everything is on the honor system as there's nobody there to really enforce your reservation, so sometimes you'll get some who play over their allotted time. Just kindly ask them to leave and usually they comply. Then there's the real rare occasion where they give you attitude for some reason. Just hilarious. Imagine fighting over a court that doesn't belong to you? Lmfao! The whole compound is fenced in so you have to go through the main entrance to get in. I saw one guy jump over the fence once to get inside. How desperate are you to play, bro? Just pay for a membership like any other productive member of society. At any rate, all the other courts other than 5 and 6 are tennis courts that can be converted in half to 2 pickleball courts (there are movable nets on each court). The other fenced courts on the north end are all dedicated tennis courts. Inside the facility, there are some squash and racketball spaces that seem to always be occupied. There's even a gym inside for members, but the equipment there is pretty basic and sparse. As for making reservations, the app acts funky sometimes and you can't get a reservation even though there are open spots. You just have to keep trying or call the shop and they'll help out. Other than a few annoyances mainly from the non members, it's a great place to play tennis and pickleball day and night!
