They took a touring band (us), got us focused, and pulled whatever hours (14 hours straight the first night) were needed to get the best sound and takes out of us. They worked with us almost as band members to make us as comfortable as possible while keeping focused on the end result. The result was a recording that I could not be more proud of. Our band stumbled upon Media Blitz while searching for a new place to practice and we were all blown away by the quality of the equipment and the studios. No ancient amps, duct-taped and crappy microphone stands, drums, etc. All new stuff and the rooms clean and acoustically sound. But what makes this place special is the attention to detail and professionalism of the owner. Dan makes sure you have every thing you need when you are there. I never go out of my way to post negative things about someone's business, but this place went from…read morea respectable set of recording studios, to a place where I could never leave my possessions in good thought. As a musician, my music is my life and legacy, and in the last year, I have seen people's rooms broken into, the CSI was there on two occasions that I can remember, and people's computers, amplifiers, gear, and even rent money has simply vanished into thin air! Funny thing is, the whole building is "under surveillance" but the security is monitored by some guy who seems to never have the footage of people breaking into the rooms. I spoke with one angry individual who had his room broken into and he said there was no footage anywhere of his room being broken into. The door was locked from the inside and (I'm not saying one way or another) but the same guy who "runs security" also has access to every camera and keys to the place. I don't know who the building owners are but I've also heard the businesses on the floor below are constantly complaining about the smell of pot emanating from some of the rooms. As you can imagine, the quality of people are less than desirable and a few weeks ago, I packed up and moved out without a word. I had been a renter there for two years and within the last year, I had decided that I was not willing to put my things at risk, watching others' possessions being snatched up without a trace. In short, there are plenty of other places you can be sure to have your things safe if you want a good rehearsal room. I would advise not trusting anyone in that building if you are in fact there. Keep your door locked, have your own camera system inside the room, and watch out for the "security" guy. He's always yelling at someone on the phone about money or needing a job; my guess is he lives there. Hope this helps all the musicians in the area keep their gear safe. Best of luck to you all.
