We are forever grateful to the team at Veterinary Emergency Referral Center--they truly saved our…read moredog's life. From the moment we walked in, the compassion and professionalism of every staff member was evident. They went above and beyond, even helping us find a surgeon to perform a critical surgery for our dog. Both veterinarians we worked with were absolutely fantastic--thorough, empathetic, and clearly invested in our dog's well-being. They went out of their way to make sure our pup was comfortable, and it meant the world to us. I felt completely at ease leaving him in their care, knowing he was in the best hands. The entire staff showed us such kindness during what was an incredibly difficult and emotional time. There aren't enough words to express how thankful we are. They made an overwhelming situation feel a little less heavy with their warmth and support. We will never forget the care they provided to both our sweet pup and to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Originally we picked one dog and was told , many applications received on that dog . So we stated if that doesn't work we choose an alternate also . Reference calls were done and spoke with foster mom for original choice . No word so sent follow up email and was told you'll be getting a call from foster mom of another dog ( of which was not either of our choices ) . We replied and were then advised both dogs we choose were placed in foster homes already. WHAT !!! Thanks but no thanks , whole process took 3 1/2 weeks !

If you go there for an emergency, don't expect much. They diagnosed our son's dog with Parvovirus…read moreafter we advised them she ate rat poison. They insisted on a $1000 down and treated for parvo after 48 hrs finally did the x-ray to find internal bleeding (from rat poisoning). She died as one would expect. This beautiful pup might have been saved if the would have listened at the beginning to treat for poison first. After finally pumping her stomach they found the green slime (rat poison). Just maybe she might have survived if they would have done this first instead of being so tunnel vision on Parvo... Not only had this pup had her vaccines for Parvo, we have three other dogs at home. Have raised endless litters of puppies and never once had any Parvo over 25 years on this property. I would say they are incompetent at best. They took no responsibility for their fuck up and expected money $$$$. Don't put your trust in them to listen or have your best interest at heart. A pet is dead due to malpractice.

Looking for a vet while on the road can be tough! I was lucky to find Choctaw family Vet, 2 miles north of where I was scheduled to stay whie in the Oklahoma City Area. They made an appointment for me to get Jolene in within 2 hours of me arriving. Once there, they were thorough, understadning , and communicated clearly everythignt hey were doing. After wards, I started seeing improvements within the next day and she has continued to improve every day. I would recommend them to anyone!!

Since he was on vacation, I brought the dog to the groom. He called the groom in advance to advise her that I could not be there at 8am because I drop my kids off at school at a location 20 minutes from the groomers location. Upon my arrival, the door bell sounds. The groom was behind the private door. There is a squeaky toy on the counter to 'squeek' for service. I squeeked the toy. No groom came to the counter to greet me. I patiently waited. I could see through the crack in the door the groom answering text messages with her phone. Finally, she came to the desk. No good morning, no hello, no welcome to Shabby Chic. I said, good morning, I'm here to deliver a dog for her services. The groom looks at me, looks at the dog & states, 'You're late, her appointment was at 8am.' I explain that there must be a mistake as my dad called in advance to let her know that children need to be dropped off, so I would not be there at 8am. It all went downhill from there. This woman has a horrible attitude. Now maybe she's nice to my Dad... I don't know that, but she was rude to me. I was out of there! My point being, if you own a business, and obviously have a good customer, wouldn't you try to provide great customer service all the time? Not what you will find here...terrible customer service. I don't want to hear that you are backed up because you were on vacation & your assistant quit. I'll just bring the dog somewhere else.

He was in extreme pain and wouldn't let me touch his foot, and with his hairy golden doodle paws it was hard to see deep between the pads. The vet dismissed my concerns, insisting it was some sort of impact injury and convinced me to pay $200 for X-rays that showed nothing. They sent us home with pain meds, but when I trimmed the hair and carefully examined the paw myself, a piece of glass fell out, exactly what I suspected from the start. I feel misled, overcharged, and very disappointed in their unwillingness to listen to the pet owner. They also refused a refund after I politely brought my concerns to them the following day. They were not empathic toward how I felt about the situation at all and blamed me because I brought him in on short notice. I was under the impression all customers would be treated the same no matter when they brought their pet in. I wish I could give zero stars.
