Do not take your pet here the vet will kill it. We had a German Shepherd named Billy who had an ear infection and Dr. Crow prescribed him prednisone two tablets. She didn't do any blood work to make sure he was healthy enough to take it WHICH YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO DO! and within 3 weeks he had passed from cardiac arrest from the medication. The oklahoma veterinary board did nothing about it.when we filed malpractice. She should have her license revoked. read more

I brought my dog in because I was confident he had a piece of broken glass in his paw after someone broke glass in my house. He was in extreme pain and wouldn't let me touch his foot, and with his hairy golden doodle paws it was hard to see deep between the pads. The vet dismissed my concerns, insisting it was some sort of impact injury and convinced me to pay $200 for X-rays that showed nothing. They sent us home with pain meds, but when I trimmed the hair and carefully examined the paw myself, a piece of glass fell out, exactly what I suspected from the start. I feel misled, overcharged, and very disappointed in their unwillingness to listen to the pet owner. They also refused a refund after I politely brought my concerns to them the following day. They were not empathic toward how I felt about the situation at all and blamed me because I brought him in on short notice. I was under the impression all customers would be treated the same no matter when they brought their pet in. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

We highly recommend Village Vet to anyone looking for a place to take their animal. We started going to them back in 2020, and always had the best experience each time we went. Whether it was annual visits, las minute sickness, or orthopedic issues we were facing with our dog, Dr. Crow, Dr. Gillock, and the entire team were always incredible. We've recently moved away from the area, and will miss being able to take our dog to them but highly recommend them to anyone looks for a vet in the Norman/Moore area. read more

I have 3 dogs, one is 15 the other 2 and the other 8 weeks. My vet is in Purcell. I live in Norman. I took my puppy and 2 yr old here to become clients of Dr Gilloc and specifically talked to her about taking on my 15 yr old and that I wanted a vet I could trust in Norman to see him if he starts to decline rapidly. She said that's a great idea we're so close and we would be able to see him sooner than driving to Purcell. Last Wednesday I was in charge of my friends 3 dogs, one of them is also 15 yrs old. After coming back inside from pottying, she started falling over, her body was contorted, she was unable to stand. This dog is already a client of Dr Gillocs. I put the dog in my lap and started driving to the clinic about 2-3 miles away. I called the clinic told them the dogs name my name and the dogs owners name. I told them I'm on my way, I have an emergency I'm almost there. The receptionist said let me talk to the dr. She came back and said the dr is leaving at 5 to pick up her kids and said you can take your dog to I-240 emergency. This was at 4:43 on a Wednesday and they close at 5:30. I said please please ask her to see this dog she's having an emergency and I don't know what's wrong with her. The receptionist said no she has to leave you don't know how long it takes her to get her kids. It's ironic that I had just had this specific conversation with the dr 2 weeks earlier about my 15yr old and wanting to know that I could count on this business if he was having an emergency. Unbelievable. This vet doesn't care about your pets. I was 2-3 miles away and crying and begging them to see the dog. Isn't there a code of ethics for vets? She is in the wrong business. The next day I called and told the receptionist I would not be bringing my dogs here after all due to this situation. We recently added a Pug into our home. We wanted to make sure he was in tip top shape in the specified time frame given to us by his previous owner and Village Veterinary Care was able to schedule us in the day I called. The staff was amazingly kind and helped me balance two kids under two and our sweet pup during the appointment. They did a complete and thorough health check, answered all of my new puppy questions, and provided us with some complimentary chews and doses of heart worm and flea/tick preventatives. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of their office and the overall length of our appointment. After trying 8 Vets from Little Axe to by Riverwind Casino & Norman I heard about Dr Darolyn Crow at Village Vet. My Schnauzer had severe skin allergies & that's one her many specialities. She worked with her brother who is a animal allergist in Dallas but comes to Norman every month. They always treat me like family and love on my babies. When it was time to put my 13 yr old to sleep Dr Crow met me on a Sunday night as well as Tech Jennifer. They made it personal & intimate. I still have a 2yr old Schnauzer & getting a new puppy. Ashley, Taylor, Jennifer are all competent to answer questions on phone or in person. I recommend to all my friends & my family. You won't be disappointed. read more

I would thank to the very nice nurse understand me cuz I'm deaf and ask her for save my beautiful cat lucky suffer from low temperature but they helped lucky for warm towel and medicine better than main vet office cuz they act rude and say leave me ......I will come back in future for my four cats. We have been clients at Village Vet for 4 years. I just took my rescue Basenji in for his vaccinatons and to have rash looked at. My dog was assessed by 2 of the younger vet techs and we were waiting to see the vet. The tech with the tatoos came in and berated me over my declination of a heartworm test. It was awful and not necessary. She was not involved in my dogs care and came in just to rage at me in an attempt she said to "educate" me. She NEVER asked why I did not want the test. I have never been treated like this by a tech in any vet office. I discussed the situation with the vet and told her we would be leaving. Her only response was to ask where to send my dog's records. She did not even care. In the past I have questioned why the techs do the majority of the amimal care, but if they are this rude I will find another vet. Norman has lots of vets, we will find one who cares about their customers. read more

Just be aware, we took our young dachshund to her for some time but when he had kidney stones so severe that he required surgery, which she said she didn't perform but another vet did but it would be several thousand dollars with no guarantee he still wouldn't have problems. We were heartbroken but decided to have her euthanize him, as he was in terrible pain. She charged me, if I remember correctly $600-$700 but it was for the best. However, over a year later we learned she "practiced" the surgery on him and it worked so she gave my dog to one of her employees, where he still lives today (I have visited him). We filed a complaint with the veterinary board, and she was disciplined with a mere $500 fine (they say thats the max amount) and she was forced to at least return the portion of her bill that she said she charged me for the euthanasia and cremation (according to her just over $100). I feel like this isn't the first time she's done this just the first time she was caught, so if you choose to use her services you should be very aware! read more

I had a horrible experience at this vet. Very poor service and treated my dog poorly. I was even told by one of the staff that I was not fit to have a dog! No one should be treated this was and I am very upset. I will never be back and I do not recommend this vet to anyone. read more
