I would truthfully rate this place a 7/10 or 3.5/5 but am feeling generous to round up…read more I ordered the Chicken and Waffles - the chicken itself was pretty good and juicy, but the hollandaise sauce for me was a miss - it was heavy, tasted mayo-y, and the flavour combined with the other sauces (buffalo and thousand island?) just didn't work well together. The hash was quite dry and flavourless. The portion size was good though! The breakfast skillet with chorizo was pretty decent - nothing to write home about and on the smaller side portion wise. Others in my party ordered the breakfast poutine and it was MASSIVE (no one was able to finish it). Service was friendly and courteous. Prices are also very reasonable.

We knew Chef Todd (the owner) from his days at the 12B restaurant and had high expectations for the food. He delivered. We had breakfast of the pulled pork and the creamiest of creamy eggs benny. For dinner, he whipped us up duck breast with yam with some kind of amazing jus. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere's super funk. We're definitely going back.

I had a turkey sandwich, properly roasted turkey, not turkeyloaf. It came on fresh-baked herb and seed bread with nice mixed greens, melted smoked gouda and cranberries.

We were there for a nice, relaxed meal and we were not rushed to order which was appreciated. We got cocktails to start - Amethyst Mine and Cucumber Basil Smash. I enjoyed the Amethyst Mine but my partner indicated he would not order the Cucumber Basil Smash again. My main course was the Novemburger with salad and my partner's was the rigatoni. The presentation was great; I really liked the dishes! I am not great at describing flavours, so I will just say this - the Novemburger was the BEST burger that I have ever had. It was SO flavourful. The beef patty was delicious. The rigatoni was good, but my partner said he wished he got the Novemburger, too. After our main courses, we got dessert and coffee. Cannot recall what exactly the dessert was called but it was some sort of matcha tart. It was creamy and delicious, but the best part was the pastry. So good!

Very disappointed with my visit on Friday August 28. The quality of the food has diminished…read more Ordered the Fritto Misto and the pancetta and fig pizza. I have had these items before and loved them. The Fritto Misto had more vegetables and shrimp than calamari and the Brussels sprouts in the dish were tough. The pizza seemed undercooked and the crust was not a thin pizza crust but seemed to be a tortilla. I know that restaurants are facing difficulty in this economy. But if the restaurant cannot maintain its reputation it is time to alter the menu.
