Pizzeria L'Italiano was only a short walk from our flat and totally fit the bill. The two folks that greeted us as we walked in were perfect for the place. The woman wearing an apron that the lovely K coveted immediately, and the young man with the perfectly shaped and waxed moustachioed welcomed us warmly. We sat at a table of our choice and noticed that there were already four tables with reserved signs on them, so the place is popular for sure. We were offered pizza dough buns and garlic butter as opposed to the typical drop and charge that is typical in so many places in Portugal. We had decided prior to going that we were going to say yes. The bread was so warm, and soft with a crunchy exterior that once the butter was added it melted in your mouth. We ordered our customary bottle of white, a fresh salad and some pasta. The lovely K had the Cannelloni, and I the Tri pasta with spaghetti, tortellini and penne. Both sauces were the same with a different pasta noodle. Both were good, plentiful, but not awe inspiring. We are in Portugal after all, but the food more than passed muster. We loved the interior of the building as so often seems to be the case in this UNESCO world heritage site. The curved and vaulted ceilings are gorgeous , we wish we could have them in our home in Canada. If you are looking for some Italian comfort food complete with great service and fair pricing you won't find much better in Evora's old town. Salut!

Great pizza, great sauce, great fluffy crust. The flavors we tried - mozzarella and basil (fantastic), pork belly (basically bacon, but very good bacon - fantastic), one other one I didn't appear to have written down, and the mushroom and truffle that we both agreed was certainly mushroomy, but a bit one dimensional. Would definitely come back if we were in Lisbon in the future. It is basically only to-go, which was fine for us, we were staying at a hotel nearby. The do also sell fancy sodas and a great Italian craft beer for, at least as of a little under 3 months ago, 3 euros each, which we also got one of each (also great, especially when you're on vacation and you don't have access to your beer collection like at home. :D)

My first delivery actually got lost, and I had to get the bellman to talk to my driver (biker actually) to help him with the hotel's address. So, make sure you get this right. After a long day vacationing in Lisbon, we were looking to do takeout pizza and chill with a movie one night. Something pretty traditional (neapolitan w/ pepperoni). Taking a cue from my fellow Yelpers, Luzzo looked like it could deliver (see what I did there?). There are 7 locations scattered throughout Portugal, but this one was just blocks from our hotel. They have a wide variety of specialty pizzas. We went with the Tutti Trufi (mozzarella, truffles) and the Guilia (pepperoni, chicken, carmelized pineapple). Both had a perfect crust - thin and a blend between chewy and crispy. Cheese allocation was generous (the way I like it!). Totally hit the spot. It's always a little iffy when you're ordering takeout in another country, but pizza is pretty much a universal food category at this point, and I would absolutely order from Luzzo again.

Not only its looks but also its taste. We have ordered 2 different pizzas (both small) for 33€ that came inside the same box (one on top of the other. Just imagine if we had any allergies - they did not ask prior ordering). Unfortunately, in this website, it's not possible to post the picture and the invoice. Definitely not worth it and people should avoid it.

Lots of toppings such as egg, zucchini, nuts, tomatoes just to name a few. 4 stars The foco pizza was a thin crust, crunchy. The tomato paste had a rich taste and the spicy salami gave the pizza some added flavor and greasiness. My wife enjoyed the pizza but compared to the pizza I had in Porto, I preferred the texture of that one. 4 stars Service was adequate. One waitress serving all the tables.
