This sports shop is quite small and really quiet and empty normay, due to its location I imagine. They sell the usual stuff like tennis rackets and footballs and their prices are average. read more

I remember going here when I was about 16 to get fully decked out for the new cricket season, and I…read moreremember that they had everything I needed in terms of cricketing equipment. A selection of bats (from low end to high end), batting pads in all shapes, sizes and weights, and a similarly wide variety of gloves and the now essential helmets. I also remember that they were willing to advise me in terms of exactly what I was looking for and how much I was willing to pay, and I clearly remember that they knocked 10% off the total price because I told them which team I played for. So I went back in last week, and gladly, nothing seems to have changed. I'll remember this place if I ever take up cricket again.

It stocks a fantastic selection of cricket equipment all year round, along with all other sports equipment. One of the major pulls of this shop is that PC Sports is the official outlet for all the local schools where you can purchase all school uniforms and accessories. A great shop on Yeadon High Street, with excellent, friendly and knowlegable staff. Well worth a stop by.
Tried to buy some shoes today from this shop and it was a terrible experience. In asking a young…read moregirl if she could get a size of trainers for us she seemed like we were asking for the worst thing in the world. Anyway she went off and what seemed like a decade passed before she reappeared. However she stopped to have a long chat with her mates/work colleagues first, right next to us holding the trainers. After a bit of time my wife went to ask if she could try on the trainers and when my wife's back was turned the girl gave her friends the most disgusting look about my wife. I have never had such disgusting customer service anywhere and this girl who was young with blonde hair was disgusting. I told her I saw what she had done and we didn't want to try their trainers on. Never to go back

This is pretty much your average Sports Direct store, located in the outdoor part of Victoria…read moreShopping Centre in Harrogate's town centre (Cambridge Street), the store is located downstairs in a sort of basement, so don't expect to get a phone signal inside the store, after heading down the escalators. The store is reasonably stocked with a range of clothing and trainers, yet it still feels rather cramped, it feels like they tried to fit in too much stock for the space, which means the store can feel a little messy and unpleasant. There was a small selection of football jerseys from the England national team in stock, ahead of the World Cup, there didn't seem to be any club jerseys though which is strange. There is also a "GAME" unit in this store, which has a selection of video games - again it seems more and more common for GAME stores to be closing and re-locating inside Sports Direct locations, due to them sharing the same parent company, Frasers Group. 3* - Pretty much your average Sports Direct store, very cluttered, with a decent selection of footwear, and an OK selection of clothing while not being too easy on the eye.

Many items are hung up on the walls, and the top shelves are impossible to reach without the use of a ladder, meaning you have to ask the assistent if you want to look at anything up there. What a hassle! The changing rooms are locked, and you have to ask for a key to get it unlocked, and once you're in there the doors are so small that anyone walking past can easily see over the top. Furthermore, there is often loud music playing, and the air is very pressurised, meaning that within 5 minutes you have a raging headache and feel like you're going to faint. Urgh, absolutley awful! The only reason I have given this store two stars instead of one is because I have often found fairly cheap trainers there in the past. Other then that, trust medon't even go near the place!

This Sports Direct has a huge selection of random sporting goods - balls, bats, wickets, swimsuits, running suits, trainers, sneakers, football shoes, golf clubs and bags, tshirts and shorts. But not a whole lot of team goods. Lots of "sale" signs - everything looks like it's well marked down. Or the prices have been doubledso that they can take 50% off, but that's just my own wild guess. :-)

This is a handy place to visit in Otley for the more sporty customer, being as this shop…read morespecialises in sportswear and sporting gear. I can't say that it's the kind of place that bowls me over with excitement, but then I'm not the most preppy of people, and despite enjoying a good country walk I wouldn't be first in line to volunteer for a work football team for example! Nevertheless, I appreciate that not everyone has the lazy disposition that I am blessed with and that there are plenty of people out there with sporting needs and desires. For those healthy types in Otley, there is J R Sports. It differs from its neighbour, Rock One, mostly on the basis that this shop sells more sports oriented gear as opposed to more hiking and outdoors gear, though for a noob like me there is little distinction! However, they've some really reasonable prices on their specialist gear so it's really not bad to browse in. As well as any kind of work out style gear this shop also does trophies and engraving, which is great for local sports events, and it does printing and embroidering - perfect again for local sports teams and matches! An all round winner in the arena of sportly gear!

I like going to this place for my sportswear because it is a lot cheaper than other sports stores like JD or JJB. The staff are excellent here and will help you in whatever you are looking for.
