Our first meal in Luxembourg City, the IT - Italia Trattoria provided a good lunch meal for a reasonable price.
After traveling from Paris on a Saturday morning, my nephew were hungry so picked this spot near our hotel in Luxembourg City. They were open from 09:30 as a shop selling premade sandwiches, with their main kitchen opening for custom hot meals at 11:00. The nice young lady manning the front checked to see if the kitchen could be opened a few minutes earlier, and the affirmative answer came back while we waited.
We walked to the back and ordered two Neopolitan style pizzas, paying for it upfront. It came out relatively quickly, us taking it back to the table. There was a self-service water dispenser in the back which we took advantage of. We ended up ordering two pizzas (one size, probably comparable to a medium pizza in the states), and both were good. The Margheria (8,9€) was a deal, enough to feed one hungry person or a snack for two. The Diavola (14,9€) added some cured meat to the mix and used the same sauce, cheese and dough as the other. About 3/4 of it was good enough for me, with my partner helping to finish it off. Both were good pizzas. well made with quality ingredients. read more
