I would give it three starts for that but this is why I'm giving it a 1. 1. I booked the class on mind body it said "pass available" During the middle of class Jenn was passed a note and told me to see the desk after class. Apparently my passes were expired but the app and the two studios still let me sign up without a problem, showing that I still had classes left to use! 2. The front desk woman was very nice as we walked through the steps that could have went wrong. She asked me for my credit card, I declined saying"I wouldn't have come if I didn't think I had a class available" seeing these classes are about $28 for a drop in. She understood and she said she would figure it out with the other studio tomorrow morning. 3. Morning comes and I get a call from the coach Jenn. She immediately asks me for my credit card info after I already informed her of the conversation stated above. She proceeds to tell me if I don't give her the card into she will just get it from the other studio I have been to. At that point I had to state very clearly and strongly I do not approve or condone her taking my credit card information . She then CONTINUES to say that someone has to pay for the visit. I tell her I understand but that will not be me seeing it was either due to; the app, her studio or the other studio. 4. I am also in the business of fitness and I have NEVER once seen this kind of pushy-ness or poor customer service. Believe me this has happened to me being the coach and I chalk it up because I want a happy customer and I fix the problem so the malfunction doesn't happen again. Truly haven't see this poor of customer service in years. Yikes!!!

The cardio and power exercises can be intense but you need to know your body and know when to tone jt down a bit. Since its a dedicated class with everyone doing the same workout based on instructions and motivation from the trainer sometimes pushing yourself that much extra can be tricky and you will need to know at what point you can push yourself and at what point you need to take a step back and slow things a little. I personally in my first class almost got nauseous because to match up to everyone around me I pushed myself beyond what my body could handle.. Was not the brightest idea.. If you are someone who is thinking about it, I recommend signing up for a class to see if it works for you. You have 1 free class to try it out which you can call in to sign up or even sign up online and if you like it then you can look at their various plans and see the right fit..

After a few classes, I found their HIIT/Cardio intense (at least for me) programs very helpful for my races that require more than just running. At OTF, there's treadmills, rowers and the weight floor. You can choose where you want to start, or let the front desk pick for you. The space is a little smaller than Chelmsford, but it's convenient because I can jump into class right after work. Also, most days run classes until 6:30 unlike the other branch I go to. After attending a month's worth of classes, I can definitely say that their theory works (stay in orange/red zone long enough and you'll continue burning after class). Almost forgot, if you sign up for a class and miss it, there's a $15 fee! That's one way to stay accountable!

We had a ton of space with a 3/4 full floor crew and it took me the whole class to figure out why! I've popped in here when my studio's been closed for a repair or they had a class that fit my schedule better (or I wanted to shop at Sophia's Greek Pantry after...yummm) and found the instructors to be fine and friendly. Got some positive feedback during my strength workout. The members seem kind of clichey (lots of suburban moms?) and it felt like half the class immediately started talking and left before the stretching block once class ended, which I found kind of yucky. The front desk assigns you a spot at check-in, which is different from most other studios I frequent, where you can pick the station number you start on. Not a big deal, but in a S50 class I know I'll be going to the heavy weight rack so I tend to have preferred starting stations. But, I figured maybe they had specific reasons for spacing people out or something. TLDR is all OTF locations teach the same classes on the same day, so if you don't like the workout at one location, you won't like it at another. I choose my studios based on location, coaches, and, at times, amenities. I showered at this one once and it was fine. Parking around back is free, also. And I love OTF in general and go nearly every day.

When I signed up, I had to pay for the first month, of course. But after two weeks (which I enjoyed!), I decided to change my fitness goals and join a lifting gym with better hours and more equipment. So I asked to cancel my membership, but was told I'd have to pay for another month because they have a 30-day cancellation policy. So I ended up having to pay another $126 for a second month that I never used. Just be aware of this policy if you're not 100% sure you plan on continuing after the first 30 days. Otherwise, enjoy the classes!!

I made my booking thru the app and was wait-listed. I got a call a couple of hours before my…read moresession from the studio asking for basic information that is needed for cross-region visits. She also confirmed my booking. When I reached the studio, all information was pre-filled and all I had to do was sign the forms. That made the check-in process so much simpler. I also took a loaner heart rate monitor. The session went great. I always compare my home studio to others and they always fall short. Guess, there is no place like home :) I like the consistency and uniformity of the workout at OTF. Will definitely come back to this studio when I get back to Boston.
