One of my AirPods stopped working and I couldn't get an appointment at a local Apple Store. This place has an appointment in an hour, I walked in and was attended to immediately by a very nice and knowledgeable man called Pablo. I recently visited the iStore Apple for a battery replacement for my iPhone 14 Pro Max. After completing all the necessary tests, which my phone passed, I was informed that the battery would be replaced within 2 hours. However, at the last minute, I was told that they couldn't replace the battery and that I should visit a flagship store instead. This was extremely disappointing, especially after going through the process, including having my screen protector removed for testing, only for them to reapply it with fingerprints all over the screen. The correct procedure should have been to check if the battery was in stock before promising the service. This last-minute change of mind is not the way things should be handled, especially when customers are assured that the work will be done. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt this needed to be shared. Very disappointed with the service. read more

Though previously finding them helpful, I went to enquire about a repair. The woman serving me was stroppy, patronised me, barely looked at my computer and essentially wrote off any hope of getting the problem fixed. I won't be going back there again and frankly feel put off buying Apple products again. read more

I took my MBP to be repaired here last year after suffering the GPU issue that plagued the early 2011 15". It was covered by Apple under an extended warranty scheme luckily but I was told the repair was going to be carried out by Albion iStore instead. OK, whatever, as long as it gets done. Then when they took down my phone number they accidentally added a 6 which did not help when trying to put mac and man back together and was only resolved when I started hectoring them via Twitter DM. When I picked it up the touchpad was bulging upwards due to being poorly installed and the GPU started playing up again after only a few months. When I complained I was told that I was welcome to bring it back to be serviced at full price of 600 pounds. Incompetent money grabbing idiots. read more

Looks like the store is more focused on selling than providing repair services. Took in my iPhone 6 for battery replacement for £25 offer from Apple. They inspected and accepted my device for service and next day emailed me saying that they cannot provide the service as the device is slightly curved/bent! Absolutely waste of my time as I had to pick up the device when they could have refused to accept the device in the first place instead of wasting my time. To me, it indicates that in-store staff are not trained or too casual towards their approach to customer's time! I took the device to Carphone Warehouse at Kings Rd (Chelsea) and they did the battery replacement clearly saying it is slightly bent but not enough to prevent battery replacement! Avoid using this place for any service! read more

Came here to try and get my Macbook Pro fixed. I'm working on my dissertation and cannot afford to be without a computer. When I checked Apple for a genius appointment the first available date was a week later! I found this place through Apple since they are an Authorised Service Provider. The website also said no appointment necessary. The design of this place feels almost like an Apple store (which made me pretty comfortable as I've always taken my Mac to Apple directly so I was a bit nervous going somewhere else). The guy helping me was really patient and tried everything he could. I only ended up waiting about 20 minutes before he said they couldn't fix it because my computer is "vintage" i.e. the parts aren't made any more and this store would not be able to order them. He was thoughtful enough to point me to another place in Soho that could fix it (Amsys, another Authorised provider which I have also reviewed). Even though I did not get anything fixed here, I want to comment on the professional and courteous manner they used in dealing with my request. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with urgent Mac problems who can't wait for the Apple store appointments. read more

I think the other review is a little unfair - this store isn't bad and as a reseller it has a good selection of stock. I did manage to acquire my iPod touch from here a week before it was officially released ;0) Service is good and the staff do appear to be knowledgeable. it's a great place to pop into it you want a case or some headphones - any type of accessory really. And it means you don't have to traipse into Regent Street and fight through the crowds. read more

I bought my MacBook here and was pretty impressed with the service. I knew exactly what I wanted so didn't need to ask many questions. The sales assistant mentioned a few upgrades that I could get for the memory and hard disk but he wasn't pushy and I didn't get either. I did email them later to ask about upgrading the memory and didn't get a reply. read more

Pretty weak customer service. I found the staff cold, uncaring, passive aggressive, and at times down right rude. Also the return policy of this store is pretty lame. Only returns offered are at 80% of what you bought it for because of "restocking fees." Not the quality of service I'd expect from a store that deals in expensive computer hardware. I was sent here by Apple because there were no Apple Store appointments for months. This place charged me £100 for "data transfer" (even though I had all data backed up and didn't need it, I stupidly paid) which Apple later confirmed should never have happened and was absolutely wrong. Apple later sent my husband here to get the logic board on his MacBook Pro replaced. The solder gave out in ten months, and when asked they said it would be £700 to replace. Avoid this place at all costs. They're scammers and their work is terrible. Either take it to Apple or find an independent dealer who is skilled and will stand behind their work, not these crooks. UPDATE: in response to the reply below, here come more alternative facts - they say this service is optional and costs £58 whereas I was charged £100 and I was never told this was optional. If anyone would like a copy of the invoice please contact me and I would be happy to send it to you. These people are liars. AVOID. read more

Went in today to ask a question regarding if my damage to my macbook pro was covered by AppleCare. When I got to the store, the employee in the front was on an iPad watching football which is fully unprofessional. I then went up to him and asked for help regarding a repair and he seemed to have no knowledge about the issue, and was wrong when he went and asked his colleagues. Then he stated that he was 'skeptical' about the damage and I caused it myself, which I did not! He seemed like he was annoyed or bored with any question I asked and wanted me out of the store so he could get back to his football game. Was sent here by Apple because of the long reservation list and will not be back! Avoid at all costs! Would not trust the repair even though they are Apple Certified. read more

DO NOT GO THERE - They charge £90 before doing any work on a macbook pro and over charge for the parts. I was there to replace my battery. Apple store charges £199, iStore charges £270!!! TO AVOID - Apple store appointment takes a bit more time to book but worth the money!!! read more

This is a pretty crap apple store, with pretty simple staff. I took my macbook in to be repaired and it ended up taking considerably longer than it should have done. I think this is a running theme with apple stores - the computers sell themselves, so they don't need to employ particularly competent staff. read more

I recently purchased a macbook pro at the London iStore and am ecstatic about my recent experience at this store, specifically because of the incredibly charming boy who helped me out. I believe his name was Tristan. He had an american accent, which really added to his charm! He told me all about his recent move from the U.S. to London and his experience in the UK thus far. Fascinating stories! I really cannot express my happiness and fortitude after this OUTSTANDING experience, I will be surprised if my next visit will be as satisfactory! (If I am lucky enough to have Tristan help me again I'm sure it will be!) So refreshing to meet someone of his caliber. Cheers to this store for hiring such exemplary customer service! I sent my computer in for repair and they tried to overcharge me by about 150 pounds. I suggest taking your mac straight to apple or not going into prime location stores such as on the strand, because it seems they charge a premium. They also don't seem to have very competent staff, just guys who cut and joke around a lot, without properly listening to what you are saying. read more

Service was good, ordering was simple, I bought an Apple MacBook Pro from these guys. They kept me up to date via email on my order status. I did have to hang around for a bit to wait for the sales guy to finish with a customer so the laptop could be registered etc ... but it gave me time to wonder around the shop to look at other gadgets - naughty! Nice friendly staff, have recommended them to other friends who wish to avoid the rush of the bigger Apple retailers in London. Parking for a scooter is easy, a small road round the corner, easy. The shop is clean and tidy, the equipment is well spaced out to play. read more

I visited the Colchester iStore in early October 2016 with a simple query about a problem with my existing computer and asked if the 'salesman' could demonstrate a new model with a view to purchase. This would have entailed accessing the internet. All computers were locked to prevent young persons from playing on them and the salesman made it quite clear that he would not be able to demonstrate for that reason. I asked if it were possible to unlock a computer to which he replied 'no' and suggested I go elsewhere for a demonstration. I asked to see the manager and a deputy came down from upstairs. I told him that due to lack of cooperation from his salesman his store had just lost a prospective sale. Unfortunately he showed even less interest than the 'salesman' and I left the store. I wrote to customer services in The Strand, London and to date have yet to receive a response. Avoid this store at all costs and go to a genuine Apple iStore where you'll get proper service and advice from a dedicated team - I did and bought a new computer. read more

I would recommend to Apple customers to avoid this store and rather go for the long queue at the Apple Store. I brought my laptop in because about 1/3 of the display was not working properly. I paid 50£ for a 'diagnosis' which came one week later and stated that the laptop's display was faulty - which is the reason I brought my laptop there! No additional explanation as to what / why that might have happened. And a quote of around 550£ to get the problem sorted. I picked up the laptop and decided not to go for the repair since I thought it made more sense to buy a new one given the cost of the repair. After I pick it up, I tried to turn it on and I was surprised to see that, after the 'diagnosis', it was no longer 1/3 of the screen not working properly, but the whole display. I sent an email asking what happened and why the matter got worse. One week later I have received no response. I went to the Apple Store to buy a new laptop and I was told that they would take a look at it first. Diagnosis was done in 5 minutes with no charge for it and, quite surprisingly, the cost of the repair was about 170£ cheaper. read more
