Not good quality. Wouldn't come back. The French fries and certain ingredients were microwaved to heat up.

Our party of four came across this little place as we were walking back to our hotel after a…read moremorning tour of the Vatican, so we stopped in. We'd seen and rejected a couple of other doner places earlier in our stay in other neighborhoods because the menus looked odd: doner and kebabs were there, but seemingly as an afterthought to pizzas, hamburgers, and sandwiches. This one was the same, but now we were hungry so we gave it a try. I figured the burgers and pizzas were there to draw in tourists, but if we stuck with the doner, it'd be good. We ordered two doner sandwiches, a wrap, and a plate that came with meat, salad, and fries. We also got a plate of fries to share. Those came first, and they were crispy and piping hot. The entrees were also very good...but the meat was unlike any doner/gyros any of us had ever tasted. It tasted like carnitas. Ya know--shredded pork. I could see a sign from where I was seated proclaiming that all their meat was Halal, in which case it couldn't have been pig, but still... I wondered if they kept a secret stash of pork for the customers who didn't didn't appear to be Muslim, or if they had some weird technique for shredding their gyros that gave it such a different texture, but I didn't have the guts to ask our host. So the food here, while delicious, will always be a bit of a mystery to me.

Located near the Vatican Museums, Kebabbaro is an authentic Mediterranean take-out restaurant that is owned by few friendly dudes, and it got some delicious kebab at cheap price. Originally, I just wanted a snack but the portion was bigger than I thought and I was full! A kebab roll with fries and a can of drink is less than €10 too. The option also includes a falafel wrap or platter if you are somehow not into kebab. Anyway, it's primarily a take-out but there are few booth seats and you get your food extremely quickly. If you are tired of pizza and pasta, give this place a try! *Disclaimer: Okay I actually wasn't tired of Italian food. I was waiting for the metro strike to end, but I'm glad there was a strike because I wouldn't find this delicious kebab place without it!

This place is located near the NE corner of the Vatican, and is very clean. Also, service was friendly and quick. Best off, the bread was warm, the ingredients fresh, and they didn't skimp on the meat. Yummy! Cheers! RS

Okay! So... The beef and chicken kebab were both quite tasty - though the beef was a bit tough. The felafel was interesting. My wife's favorite was some spicy peppers that the owner brought out just for her. They looked like green string beans but had the heat of a jalapeño. I had ordered an appetizer but it never did show up. Due to the language barrier it could have been one of the things that wasn't available today. Oh well. Overall good experience.

Accompanied by fellow yelpers, we head for this "posh" kebab joint, distinguished by three spit-roast doner options - beef, chicken and vegetarian. The interior is swankier than your average kebab shop, with a room on the side featuring table-clothed tables, charming prints and a collection of fezes (can't resist a fez). We start with a plate of falafel to share, 6 pieces for a good value €5, and a plate of mixed antipasti for €8. The baba ganoush and hummus are pretty good, and there are also creamed zucchini, beans and potato puree. We all order kebab on the plate, a portion of seasoned beef, chicken or a vegetarian option dressed with a little bit of salad. This is "make your own" kebab time, with unleavened slices of pitta-style bread and salsas to share. Pity they only bring 2 spoons for the four salsas - they're soon all mixed together. And for a group of five people, they run out immediately so we request more. Overall the impression is good and the food is tasty, although I do prefer a lamb kebab. The main dishes are also quite pricey at €12 each although the kebab meat is good quality. The five of us pay €16 a head, after sharing two bottles of water as well, and go away full and pretty satisfied.
