Elaine Buhler (Sr. Vice President, Sr. Talent Manager for Southern California) has been my advocate and found me a great job this month. Unlike other recruiters I've worked with, in the very few months we have been in touch, she has provided a very "one-on-one" sense of care to connect me to opportunities that are specific to my desires. She sought me out via Linkedin... she doesn't blindly forward me opportunities... she submitted me for a role and gave me as much insight into the correspondence with the employer to help me understand how fit for the role I was. From texts, voicemails, to short and sweet emails, Elaine made sure I felt confident and informed to succeed with landing the job. Her industry expertise and unwavering support were instrumental in landing me this incredible opportunity. I can't recommend Elaine enough to anyone seeking a dedicated and results-oriented recruiter.

She hired me to work for this company. Really great opportunity. Told me I had it. I completed so much paperwork. Gave these people ALL my personal information. To be told "we hired you but we have to wait for your background check to come back through First Advantage". 14 days later she tells me "sorry the company went with somebody else because your background check is taking too long". And no s*** lady I've sent chats everyday for the last 8 days to find out the status of my check. She did not follow up with them one time... So of course they are going to go with somebody else. I had a background check ran twice this year it only took 3 days and I have nothing on my background. So makes me think First Advantage is a fraudulent sorry excuse for a screening company right away. She did not even think twice about it and just sent me a "I'm sorry e-mail". Robert Half unprofessional and gives half ass service. I'll never deal with them again. I still have not received my background check. I'm going to report First Advantage any way I can.

Working with this place was THE worst time of my professional life. I applied for a certain…read moreposition with a certain salary budget range that was publicly shared info. I got offered a different position with a different range and when I asked questions they had no answers, despite boasting about their long-term professional relationship with the company of my position. Later, my hiring manager actually said it was his first time working with them. They told me lies based on nothing because they knew nothing about the company even though they claimed to. The person that I mainly worked with was so unbelievably unprofessional at times I was speechless. They resulted to the lowest of lows in bullying and car salesman tactics (like arguing about my employment history which is very clearly laid out on my resume, trying to convince me that I am worth less salary, telling me I should take literally any job that is more money than my current one even if it's only 2k more, etc.). And then when I called them out on their lies about what I would get in my position, the response I got was "we never said that". SERIOUSLY??? Seriously!?!? They can't even say "I apologize about that, it looks like we were incorrect"? That is a horrible and unethical business practice. Thank God I had email proof of their straight up lies. I eventually ended up talking with someone that was supposedly higher up in the chain but if another executive reads this please feel free to contact me and I will show you the unprofessionalism. The person I worked with should be dismissed from their job. Unless bullying tactics is how the entire company does business. I liked the position and the company of my position but the attitude of these people almost made me decline just so I didn't have to work with them anymore. If I didn't care about being a terrible person, I would have told the manager what was going on, and then reapplied through their website. They don't deserve any commission for coercing people into roles they might not want or might not be the best fit for them. In conclusion, if someone here contacts you about a job I would suggest looking for that exact posting on other websites or just go along with it until the initial screening interview, tell 24 seven you're not interested, and then go apply through the company instead. It will save you many hours of stupid back and forth discussion.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you end up using Michelle, it will ruin all other agencies for you…read more I am a professional career nanny. I have over seven years of nannying experience, five years of teaching experience, and more. I have a B/S in childhood development as well as my MAT. When I began my search for a nanny-family in LA, I did my due diligence by shopping around looking at multiple agencies. I found that Michelle had the TOP RATED AGENCY ON MULTIPLE SITES and wanted to take a closer look. I read through every. single. review. I thought to myself, "Really? Every single person had a positive experience with this agency? That's just not statistically possible if she's really working with this many people..." I decided to set up a meeting. I drove to her office where we met to discuss particulars (what I'm looking for, what families are in the market for a nanny right now, what ages/salary/commute/hours I'm looking for) and the moment she opened the door and greeted me with a giant smile and her upbeat, positive attitude, I felt like just working with HER was my perfect placement! Once we started the process, Michelle was completely professional while also refreshingly honest and realistic in her suggestions. She really took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for and she only suggested me to families that she knew had the potential to be a "love match!" After looking at a few potential matches, Michelle called me to tell me that she had "found my family!" She said, "This is the one. Please go for an interview and see for yourself." So I did. This is the part of the review where I'm going to get annoyingly emotional. Not only did the family and I immediately "click," but Michelle had made sure that all of our stats were in alignment. The age range, schedule, amount of hours, commuting time, pay rate, expectations and needs happened to all align with what I was looking for. It was LITERALLY the PERFECT PLACEMENT!!!! Coincidence? I think not. Michelle is highly intelligent, professional, personable, understanding, diligent, experienced, communicative, and pleasantly charismatic and I owe my job satisfaction directly to her. Now that I think about it, maybe I should send over a bottle of wine. Thank you, Michelle, for just being so incredibly good at what you do. As I mentioned earlier, when I started this process, I read through every one of your (5 star) reviews and thought, "There's just no way every single review can be five stars..." and now here I am adding one more.

It seemed like I had landed a few dream jobs only for it to slip away from me. Really trying times. Then I met Michelle! This brings a smile to my face. Meeting with her felt like chatting with a friend. I realized after that this is her skill. She loves people and wants to represent both the families and the nannies. It was a slow period and she didn't have any job opportunities at the time when I signed up with her agency, the perfect placement. After being on the hunt for my top nanny job with a kind family for many months and it wasn't happening I was getting ready to move out of state. I mentioned to Michelle that I'm no longer looking for a position as it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Michelle didn't give up on me. She called me with 2 opportunities. I went on both interviews and was called back to do a trial for the one that I wanted !! Yay !! Then Michelle negotiated some time off that I needed to take care of a health issue. The family was so wonderful they waited for me ! All I can say everything lined up perfectly. Michelle will always return your call in a timely manner and she always checks in to see how you're doing. I thank God I met Michelle !
