This rating is for Dr. Reus. If you're having infertility concerns or looking for treatments, steer away. She provided very little knowledge about my case and suggested I "control my stress" and "stay healthy" something I already know...I found the appointment to be foolish and uninformative. A few questions I asked were 1. What supplements should I take? No answer. 2. What foods should I avoid? Answer: Tuna and alcohol 3. What is inositol? Answer: where did you hear that from? *looks up on the computer* I've never felt so disappointed in a physician. read more

I switched places because Swedish OB/GYN gives priority to pregnant women and will make you see a nurse practitioner if you have an urgent situation. If you are not planing to have babies and need regular care this place is the one. The staff is very nice and immediately accommodated me with a doctor for my urgent need the same day when I called. I saw Dr. Sandra Sultan and she is wonderful. She takes the time to listen and explain. She is very knowledgeable and her medical assistant is very caring too. Since Dr. Sultan does not deliver babies anymore she has more availability for patients. I know Dr. Evans is wonderful too because she delivered my friends' babies. My friends were very happy with her care. I think her schedule is more busy because she delivers babies. Overall the office staff is great and compassionate. read more

Sadly I can't rate the facility and service itself as I never made it passed the phone call. Called to schedule a new patient appointment yesterday at 1pm and was greeted by a woman who was cold and seemed agitated or annoyed. Upon answering the phone, she stated the business name, I informed her I was a new patient and seeking an appointment for an annual exam. She responded with only, "I will need to have my manager give you a call." Nothing further, including no reason as to why she couldn't schedule me, no timeframe, nothing, just "my manager will have to call you." I gave her my name and number and that was it. No thank you, no goodbye. That was it. It's been a full business day and half since my call and no return call. I am a little bummed and turned off by this. I have since decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

Dr. Evans is a respected OBGYN with many years of experience. She delivered my best friend and my sister's babies 20 or so years ago. However she might not be a wise choice for OBGYN procedures now based on my recent experience. Dr. Evens did an in-clinic ablation procedure for me 4/13/2018 to treat my irregular period. There was some bleeding/spotting afterwards which I was told to expect after this procedure. However I woke up in the middle the night 4/18/2018 to find myself in a pool of blood. Her on-call number could not be reached and I called 911 and was taken to the nearby Swedish ER. There was no on-call OBGYN there and the ER doctor consulted with an on-call OBGYN in another hospital and gave me some birth control pills and other medicine to slow down the bleeding. I went back to Dr. Evans' clinic the next day and she gave me an injection to stop the bleeding. Dr. Evans told me that the bleeding was not from her procedure, but from some abnormal cell at the entry of the uterus. She said the cells were pre-cancerous and should/could be removed with a minor biopsy out-patient procedure. I made an appointment with her to have the procedure done at Overlake Outpatient 5/17/2018. After I woke up from the procedure, the nurses told me there was some clotting but Dr. Evans was already gone. There was not much to be done and they discharged me after watching me for a period of time. There was relatively heavy bleeding the first day and it turned into spotting which continued after I went back to work. In the afternoon of 5/24/2018 while I was in my office and without any warning, blood started rushing out onto the chair I sat on, down to my pants and wet my socks. I ran into the bathroom and the toilet and the floor was covered with blood. I managed to put pads and a lot of toilet paper to prevent the blood from running down my legs and called 911. I was taken to Overlake ER and the ER doctor told me I had arterial bleeding. He got in touch with Dr. Evans and then gave me a another injection to stop the bleeding. I was happy this time the bleeding was stopped in about 5 hours, as compared 12 hours or so the 1st time. Per the ER doctor's discharge instruction, I called Dr. Evans the next day 5/25/2018 and was scheduled to see her in the afternoon. After she examined me, she recommended cauterizing the bleeding area to ensure no more bleeding. Given what I had been through, I was willing to do anything to stop the bleeding and get back to my normal active life. The problem was, she could not figure out how to get the machine to work. She called in the nurse but she had never used it before. They also talked of missing components that could not be found anywhere in the procedure room. This scared me and I told Dr. Evans I did not want the cauterizing done then and there. She said it would be OK to not to do that, but insisted on giving me another injection to make sure there would be no more bleeding. Her injection this time was so painful I screamed and cried through it and my blood pressure shot up to 140/100 compared to my regular 90/60. The worst of all was that spotting started immediately after her injection. It started slow, not much on the pad but enough to make the toilet red every time I used the bathroom, until in the middle of night 5/26/2018 I woke up with a soaked pad and a big clot. By now I knew better and called 911 immediately and was taken to Overlake Hospital again. The ER doctor consulted my record from the previous ER visit and tried another injection to stop the bleeding, which did not work this time. He contacted the on-call OBGYN who came promptly, examined me, and told me she would fix it properly instead of more injections or patches. By this time I was light-headed from the loss of blood and was rushed into the operating room, where I required two units of blood transfusion. When I woke up from the surgery, I was too weak and exhausted to move my limbs and open my eyes, but the dry and clean feeling down there made me think "wow!" An OBGYN procedure could be done without bleeding afterwards! Every doctor involved in my ordeal told me it's not unusual to have some bleeding after surgical procedures. To me though, the statistics is 100% with Dr. Evan's two procedures, and excessive bleeding too. read more

I am very pleased with Dr Sandra Sultan. I switched GYN because my prior MD wanted to do an invasive procedure requiring general anethesia and when I questioned it, he bullied me. Dr Sultan is the opposite, she listens and respects and does her work with care and expertise. (BTW, she was able to do in- office a minor procedure vs what the prior doc recommended.) I feel safe and well cared for with Dr Sultan! read more
