My girlfriend came in with a broken toe and was in serious pain, and the strongest thing they were willing to offer was ibuprofen. Had I known that ahead of time, I would not have used my copay here. I would have gone somewhere else where pain is taken more seriously. I understand urgent cares may have policies and limitations, but patients should be told upfront if the facility is not going to provide meaningful pain management options beyond over-the-counter medication. When someone has an actual fracture and is clearly in pain, being sent away with essentially "take ibuprofen" feels dismissive and inadequate. This was extremely frustrating and felt like a waste of time and money. I would not recommend this location for injuries where pain control might be needed.
