I think the price of the rings were really comparable or competitive. The person who sold us our ring still works there. We've been treated well every time we've walked in. Israel diamond supply has the absolute best deals. I didn't think it'd be possible to find a 3 carat diamond and ring in my budget, because 2 of the big name stores told me it wasn't possible! My now fiancé and I happened to walk in, to throw her off the chase of another ring I bought. I hate being in a situation where I can be taken advantage of. I went to a store, Samuels in Austin. 3 sales people acting like vultures trying to make the sale descended on us, pushing, pushing, pushing. I won't get into how bad it was. It forced me to learn somethings about diamonds. On the Israel site I could filter individual stones for my price, size, clarity, polish, etc. Their search filters were more extensive than any other site that I could find. I wanted to buy a yellow stone. I could also look at the GIA # and Google that #, seeing what other sellers prices were for the same stone. Israel was always cheaper. I emailed them receiving a response from Alan Jabbour. I told him of our vulture experience and asked what I could expect if I drove the 7 hours from Round Rock to Tulsa. He said no one is ever pushed at Israel Diamond. We emailed at least 10 times. He always got back to me within hours. Never was there any kind of a sales push or suggestion as to what I should buy. I gave him 4 stones that I was interested in, 2 from a lower price category and two that were pricier and asked him to choose one from each. He ordered the stones and we drove up staying overnight. He is very personable and patient. Long story short, our experience there was more than comfortable. The store is beautiful. We found a setting amongst almost too many to choose from that suited both the stone and my fiancé. Since it was yellow, without my asking for it to be done, he offered to have the prongs done in yellow gold (the ring was white), It arrived today. It is gorgeous. It came in a box with a light inside and the sparkle was like OMG! It also came with the GIA certificate and a statement of appraised value, which was higher than the purchase price and for insurance purposes. BTW, the settings they have at the store are not white gold or with diamonds. They are alloy and glass. They have them all out against a wall, so you don't need a sales person to help you choose. You get to take your time. I say this because if you go and they look cheap, they are. The real setting is terrific. Also, as an aside, there was something Alan didn't approve of after they received the setting. He called me and let me know he needed an extra day or two to correct it rather than me not approving it and sending it back. This is what is known as a "class act." It was an enjoyable experience for both of us. I had the confidence to know that I wasn't being taken. I would buy a ring from Israel again in a heartbeat. And, no, I am not connected with this business in any way, other than the purchase of this ring. read more

She found an incredible GIA stone that surpassed my expectation and when all the dust settled I ended up paying about $7,000 less than I would have for the same thing from the discount jewelry place in Houston. Rana and Adel are a godsend. They are the best. There's literally no other way to put it. My fiancé and I met with jewelers at Cartier, Kwiat, David Yurman, and even Tiffany's all with the same result. We were told that the ring design that we wanted wasn't possible. I knew six guys who had all gotten their engagement rings at Israel Diamond and all of them suggested it. My fiancee and I live in Kansas City so we looked all over there for a set of rings. She finally chose a set that was going for $3300 without the stone (the diamonds I looked at were between $5000-$5500). My budget was $6000, so I couldn't do that one. I called up Israel and sent them a picture of the ring, but asked them to make it a little skinnier and to do small diamonds along both sides of the wedding band as well as the top (the one at the store I found in KC only had diamonds along the top, not the sides). Israel custom made them for me in 3 weeks for $2100. I ended up finding a stone there that was the same size/color/clarity as the ones I was looking at in KC for $3895 to stay beneath my 6k budget. Alan Jabbour took care of me the whole time, was super prompt about responding to emails and calls and took great care of me. Summary: I paid $6000 instead of $8300. Great service. I couldn't be happier! I was glad to drive 4 hours from Kansas City to do my business with them, and it was well worth it! My fiancee recently had a small diamond fall out of the side of her ring, but I'm not too worried about it because of the way I've been treated by Israel Diamond so far.
