I-spine is by far THE WORST pain management place I've ever been to in my life! That's saying a lot since I've been to over 30 in my life. I started seeing them back when dr. Parmalee still actually saw patients every month (4 years ago). Then, as they grew more popular, they started hiring multiple PA's to actually take over for all of their intakes, assessments, and monthly refills. They also had a bunch of medical students who would do their internship there, whom had absolutely no clue what the heck was going on, they didn't know anything, screwed up everything, messed up on refills, dates, notes, documents, and they went through them so fast, that there was multiple new ones every month. I literally had to explain my detailed life history every single month. That was the absolute worst thing they did and then the downfall began. Dr. Wolf and Parmalee began to only do injections and would no longer see any patients for any reason whatsoever. I got refused multiple times when requesting to see dr. Parmalee. Chris (not the PA's real name but that's what he goes by for some strange reason) is an imbicile. He's a VERY strong advocate to take everyone off narcotics (yet ispine hired him?). He got so mad at me on multiple occasions he'd stomp out of the room, slam the door very hard and loudly, slam my prescription on the counter, and would even yell at me. All because I refused to get yet another injection and had told him I have tried that already (which I did). I ended up getting multiple injections during my history at ispine. When dr. Parmalee did my lower back, everytime I'd wake up, I'd literally be screaming in pain with tears running down my spine. The best part is that when I woke up in the worst pain of my life screaming in pain, I was told repeatedly by the nurses there to "be quiet, you're scaring other people!" I was in shock that they'd say such a horrible thing to their patients! That happened twice. James (dr. Parmalee) came in to see me after the injection when I was screaming and crying in pain only to say "oh no, not again", and promptly left to inject his next victim. Obviously, these made me worse, not better! I could barely walk for 2.5 weeks after them. I also have heard from several different patients there (when I saw ispine) that they'd reuse needles. Multiple people have gotten infections there. James made my back way, way, way worse than when I initially started seeing them. They keep absolutely no records of how these injections are helping or hindering their patients. This place is a injection line. They reccomend everyone for them despite the very low percent of their effectiveness for at most, a month of relief. I saw every PA they had there, none of them know much about proper pain control, let alone medical issues at all because they're not experienced doctors. All of them are arrogant and I got chewed out by every single one of them for seeing them because "I wasn't sticking with one provider". To them, one provider means seeing one person at i-spine. Yet, to everyone else in the world, one provider means seeing one clinic, with multiple doctors there. I saw different PA's only because they'd VERY often take vacations and be gone for weeks at a time. Pam also put me on the MMJ program, but failed to notify me that it's either one or the other, and not both MMJ and pain meds. So, the month after, they began to cut me off my pain meds, despite me saying I wanted to stick with the pain meds, and not the MMJ if that was the case. They refused and I went into horrible withdrawals. I was told tough luck and I was irate, once again at them for not notifying me of this. Billing: the billing at this place is the most messed up I've ever also seen (ispine takes the record for officially being the *&$*iest place I've ever been to overall). It's their policy to do UA's every month. However, they send them out to a place that's not in network with any insurance company. So, 1 UA costs $698 OUT OF POCKET, when this test is only $60-80. There's so many other things that are messed up about this place. I referred 8 other people that I met/or knew, to ispine, and every single one of them left with the same complaints as I'm telling ya'll now. Take every other reviewers, my recommendations, and DO NOT go here! I am currently in contact with a law firm to file suit against this place for medical malpractice, defination of character (they lied and put false things in my medical file), and fraud. read more
