Part of what I love about working for Yelp is discovering businesses and getting to meet amazing…read morebusiness owners. While planning Passport to Port Credit, I had the pleasure of walking into Stavebank Florist and meeting the owner, Mona! To begin, Stavebank Florist is an ultra-modern, sheik looking spot adorned with bright colours, and modern fixtures resembling that of a swanky restaurant post a Slice Restaurant Makeover. Following my discussion with Mona I learned that the artistic direction for this was all her idea! Why is this important? Well in a business like that of Florists it's no secret that having strong creative abilities and a keen eye for design would be advantageous when designing/creating beautiful arrangements. This logic follows that Mona is a genius at what she does and after taking over and re-branding this long standing Floral shop she is creating beautiful arrangements that are both inventive and gorgeous. When you're in Mississauga I'd highly recommend you stop by and check them out!

The flowers did eventually arrive sometime after 5:30pm Sunday and before 8am on Monday). I received a follow up email simply stating "We have a confirmation from our delivery driver that it was delivered on Sunday at 9:21am, and left at the front door. Address..." Was very disappointed they were a day late and there was no ownership. The flowers were beautiful but I won't be ordering again - especially for an additional $25.00 for a day late....

Her help with floral arrangements for a brunch was remarkable and the result was perfect. Amazing experience once again, Kyle never disappoints! I unfortunately procrastinated in buying…read moreflowers for Mother's Day and reached out to Kyle on Friday evening requesting a beautiful-full arrangement. Knowing this weekend would be very busy for him and his staff, I suggested picking up at a later date. He was swift in his responce, requesting details on how I would like the arrangement & followed up with confirmation of having everything prepared for Mother's Day (Sunday) 3pm pickup! Always extremely helpful & understanding. I absolutely love Kyle's arrangements, as the flowers always last far beyond other suppliers I've tried. They're all the more special as he seems to design each bouquet in layers. On pickup you'll have an already bloomed set of beautiful flowers which last at roughly 6-7 days, the filler is accompanied by unbloomed buds which tend to blossom after 5-7 days of pickup. This bouquet appears to have a third layer of unbloomed lilies which I assume will blossom within a few days as well. Where a typical bouquet is thrown out after a week, Kyle's arrangements always last a minimum of two weeks! I will continue to be loyal to Growers Flowers. Without fail, an amazing experience time & time again.

The shop is located in an industrial area, so be sure to follow the GPS as there is no sign that signifies their presence. The location is rather small, with a standard-size fridge? They sell flowers, a fair range of plants and aquarium related items inside the store in the back. I normally come here for the flowers and the value is amazing. I recently bought some orchids for $20 plus tax when every other florist sells the same flowers for $40 and up which is incredibly cheap and nothing is wrong with the flowers, they are freshly cut. The store is pretty simple and staff are fairly knowledgeable and more or less a basic no frills type of place. The reason I don't give a higher rating is because quite a few times I have been there, the service can be quite unfriendly, maybe it's just their interactions with me. I haven't checked out the aquarium but if you are a guy looking to buy flowers for a date, significant other or anyone in general, this place has outstanding value. Take the money you will save and use it to add to a nice dinner date.
