I really enjoy myself every time I visit
Maurice T.

How do I drive by a perfectly good casino and hotel in Tunica to end up at the Capri? Ms JACKIE that is!!! If you've never met a person that seems to smile everytime you meet them she's the one. I visit once or twice and year and I think to myself, er-time I see her I'm treated as if she waited the whole year just to greet me. I've never had a problem with the rest of the staff either from an iron to coffee and water the staff is great but Ms. Jackie is a woman that every company dreams about employing. What ever they paying her I knows it can't match the love that she feels for her job. Love you Ms. Jackie and until we meet again parting is such sweet sorr

Love it, always stop by when I am in Clarksdale MS. We make sure we hit this casino the first night we are in town.

Friendly welcoming staff, rooms are a bit small but clean. Unfortunately, there's not a fitness room or indoor swimming pool.

Usually, when you're on the road and don't have reservations, you end up stopping and staying in hotels that are less than ideal. This Comfort Inn was thankfully nothing like that! We were surprised to find a full parking lot and lucky to get a room. Our biggest need was a hotel that was pet friendly, but not too noisy where our girl would bark throughout the night. I have no idea how a full hotel can be so quiet, but our dog didn't bark once. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast exceeded expectations for a hotel like this. We came down for breakfast around an hour before it ended and there was still a lot of food. The spread included cheese omelets, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and waffles. They even have a specialty coffee maker where you can get a latte or cappuccino among other things. It was so good! If we ever find ourselves on the road in this area again, this hotel would be our first choice for a stop!

Some of the little cabins are original & some are new built to look like the original historic cabins. We LOVE the new built cabins that look Vintage. They are so adorable & so unique. It's obvious a lot of work went into them, the attention to detail is incredibly impressive. I mean they even decorated them in the Vintage fashion to the exact details of the era. Very Impressive. It was definitely a labor of love that went into this place. It's just breathtakingly beautiful in the morning fog & the sunsets are legend from this place. The "Delta" cabin is our fave, we love the back screened in porch. It's a shack, they are all just little shacks, but it's the most adorable shacks EVER. haha. "PLEASE BUILD MORE DELTA CABINS" I can't get reservations for my fave shack!!! LOL There are no tv's or anything it's just a shack, you're basically glamping so bring everything you need, especially bedding if you want to sleep a little more posh. That's what we do. The coolest thing here is the juke joint & blues bar that has live music. You can't even get a room here when the festival is going on. If you want to attend the festival you have to book a year in advance. Highest Recommendations.

You can…read moreread the stories of this one-time segregated hospital cum musician haven elsewhere - I'll just tell you my story. Prices and booking are done via phone/email with Zee, the owner (daughter of the beloved Frank Ratliff who ran this place for decades). My 2 daughters and I were set up in the Sonny Boy Williamson room on a weeknight for $70 cash. Can't argue with that! I was afraid we'd be arriving too late (around 9) but she said no problem. There is no parking lot - you'll be on the curb. We were also the only car on the block (we did a bit better in time and beat Zee there). It was admittedly a moment that gave slight pause, but then Zee came up and all was well. You're family as soon as you meet her - hugs all the way around. She gave us a 10-minute tour - as we were the only tenants for the night, she opened up all the rooms and let us soak in the aura of Bessie Smith's final moments and rock & roll's birth pangs via Ike Turner. My kids settled in, and I continued to talk to her about music, Clarksdale, and the relationships she's made with guests from around the world - good times. She's also got lots of area info to set you up for your stay, which starts off just a couple of blocks away at the Crossroads. As I settled back in my room, I walked the narrow hallway and just tried to grasp the different lives that have walked this way - it was almost too much to fathom. As mentioned, we were the only ones staying the night, but there is a guy who hangs out in the front office and he's got security monitors so there's no worries about your belongings - no hellhounds on your trail at this place. He also made coffee for me in the morning. Clarksdale is not a town hurting for fantastic places to stay for cheap. Between the Riverside or the Shack Up Inn, you'll have a stay you'll never forget. But if you want to feel the spirits of the past, this is the one you should pick.

This place has…read morenosedived so hard it's almost impressive -- if neglect, filth, and incompetence were an Olympic sport, they'd take the gold. Nothing works. The elevators have been broken for months, leaving only one in service. It's a safety hazard and a blatant ADA violation waiting to happen. Elderly guests, people with disabilities, and staff are forced to wait for ages or climb stairs while management pretends it's not their problem. Maybe an ADA investigation is the only thing that will finally get them to care. The casino floor? Dead. No payouts, no energy, no life. Machines are tighter than a vault and about as exciting as a morgue. The staff look miserable, clearly beaten down by leadership that gives zero concern for morale or guests. Then there's the food -- if you can call it that. The restaurant and steakhouse are an insult. My steak smelled so foul it was actually nauseating -- like rancid meat and dirty gym socks. It was disgusting, and management usually doesnt even blink. Typically No apology, no replacement, no basic decency. Just indifference. They took the steak off the bill for once but I didnt even eat any of it it was so disgusting. The entire property is dirty, outdated, and depressing. Stained carpets, broken fixtures, and an overwhelming feeling that no one in charge has lifted a finger in months. It's honestly unsafe and unsanitary. Their "1 Star Rewards" program couldn't be more fitting -- because that's exactly the experience you'll get: 1 star service, 1 star cleanliness, 1 star management, and 1 star safety. Goldstrike used to have pride and atmosphere. Now it's just greed, grime, and garbage. This place should be shut down until someone competent takes over.
