On this first visit, I enjoyed myself. This is a good sized casino, not too big or small. Keep in mind, this isn't Vegas but definitely a fun option. I went with some buddies while visiting the Memphis area on a Friday night. We visited the sports book first and ate dinner there. The food, service and screen options were great. From there, we hit the casino floor and being a Friday, it was quite crowded and smokey. Luckily, we went upstairs where it was non-smoking and hardly any crowd. Upstairs they had slots and tables. There's also a sports bar up there but it was closed, however there are sports book kiosks where one can place bets. Drink service was available and service was fast. After a few hours, two of us were up and so we decided to leave. We all agreed it was a good time and would return if in the area again.

Casino has latest slots and plenty of tables. Need to hire a few more cocktail waitresses. What is up with the coffee house in the hotel lobby? We've seen people over there working on things and cleaning but have yet to be able to grab a coffee or pastry. Is there a point to this place. I've been to this casino many times and can't remember ever being served there. Hey but you can cut through the casino and exit on over to the Starbucks at Horseshoe they're always open. It's only about a 1/2 mile walk and you will have a Luke warm beverage to hand your spouse by the time you get back to the room

I'm not staying here, but it's right next door to the Horseshoe. Gold Strike is right next door as in very short walking distance. At the pace I walk, it's probably about 89.7 seconds. I have only walked through this joint twice, but the lobby is nice, the people are friendly, and the energy is high for non-Vegas. The only bizarre experience was walking upstairs to the non-smoking section and not finding anyone. Not a soul. This means if you want to gamble in Mississippi, you don't like smoke, and you're an introvert, it could be the ideal spot for you. If you want to gamble in Mississippi, you smoke (or like the smell of smoke), then the downstairs might be the ideal spot for you. If you want to gamble in Mississippi and you're a non-smoker/extrovert or a smoker/introvert, you're pretty much screwed. Then again, you won't be gambling so you're also not screwed. As I recently wrote about elsewhere, perception is everything.

Thieves in Gold Strike sports book bar and grill!

Gold strike employees are trying to rob the public in the SPORTS BOOK BAR AND GRILL!! BEWARE! Only pay your tab. the service is pitiful. The food is sometimes good. The wait staff is evil except for 1 good waitress

I had a good stay. It was busy. The sports bar was cool. There were lots of TVs. Buffet was good too.

The elevators have been broken for months, leaving only one in service. It's a safety hazard and a blatant ADA violation waiting to happen. Elderly guests, people with disabilities, and staff are forced to wait for ages or climb stairs while management pretends it's not their problem. Maybe an ADA investigation is the only thing that will finally get them to care. The casino floor? Dead. No payouts, no energy, no life. Machines are tighter than a vault and about as exciting as a morgue. The staff look miserable, clearly beaten down by leadership that gives zero concern for morale or guests. Then there's the food -- if you can call it that. The restaurant and steakhouse are an insult. My steak smelled so foul it was actually nauseating -- like rancid meat and dirty gym socks. It was disgusting, and management usually doesnt even blink. Typically No apology, no replacement, no basic decency. Just indifference. They took the steak off the bill for once but I didnt even eat any of it it was so disgusting. The entire property is dirty, outdated, and depressing. Stained carpets, broken fixtures, and an overwhelming feeling that no one in charge has lifted a finger in months. It's honestly unsafe and unsanitary. Their "1 Star Rewards" program couldn't be more fitting -- because that's exactly the experience you'll get: 1 star service, 1 star cleanliness, 1 star management, and 1 star safety. Goldstrike used to have pride and atmosphere. Now it's just greed, grime, and garbage. This place should be shut down until someone competent takes over.

It's…read morenot going to blow you away or anything, but the lady behind the counter likes to laugh, the lobby is clean, there are six elevators, it's close to Horseshoe and Gold Strike, and it's quiet. Now that I'm writing this, I'm starting to wonder why it's so quiet. Eh. Doesn't matter. All I needed was a quiet room so I could type when I wasn't playing poker (or eating chicken Lo Mein with no vegetables at the Horseshoe). I would cautiously recommend Fitz. The first thing that hit me wasn't the decor--it was the smell. The hallway had this strong, unpleasant odor, like something wasn't properly cleaned and they tried to cover it up with cheap fragrance. That's never a good sign. Then you look around... and it only gets worse. The floors were dirty and worn down, like they haven't seen real maintenance in a long time. The walls had this dull, lifeless color that made the whole place feel cold and neglected instead of welcoming. Now let's talk about something serious--safety. My door lock wasn't even right. That's not a minor inconvenience--that's a deal breaker. If I can't feel secure in my own room, nothing else matters. And the food? Honestly, it felt like an afterthought. I spent close to $50 and got: * Chili cheese fries with cheese that wasn't even melted * A buffalo pizza where the chicken was just tossed on top like nobody cared to actually cook it into the pizza No effort. No quality. Just disappointing. To top it all off, I ended up feeling sick afterward--which pretty much confirmed everything about this stay. This wasn't just a bad experience--it felt like a complete lack of care across the board. Do yourself a favor: keep scrolling and book somewhere else.

It's a regular poker room as well as a poker room that hosts several tournament series, including the WSOP Circuit and RunGood. I know I should be writing about bacon and eggs, but there is a reason I'm telling you all this. I had a business meeting at Moneyline with someone that relates to poker. I won't bore you with business meeting details, but I will tell you that I asked for extremely well done scrambled eggs. The waitress didn't get mad at me for ordering extremely well done scrambled eggs like the waitress at The Orleans in Vegas, but she did say, "You mean scrambled har'" I know that looks like a grammatical error, but that's the way she said it, har' (instead of hard). She was nice, though. Very patient. As far those bacon and eggs go, the bacon was very baconish and the eggs were perty good (I'm in Mississippi/when in Rome). I was so taken by the scrambled eggs that I forgot to take pictures of my food. Please accept my apologies. It might be a good thing though because this was the first time I met the person who I had the business meeting with. If I had remembered to take a picture of my food, then I would have asked to take a picture of his food as well. He might have found that odd. I recommend Moneyline.

He instant instantly got our orders. I got a bacon cheeseburger with fries and my spouse ordered a cheeseburger as well. As we were waiting, I went to a nearby table that was empty to grab the salt, shaker and pepper shaker for my food, arriving the waitresses that were standing around watching us and did not accommodate us instantly walked over and told me I needed to put them back and try to give me paper salt and pepper packets I'm offended at the fact that nobody was willing to greet us nor accommodate us, but the minute that they saw me grab salt and pepper. I was instantly pointed it by one of the waitresses for my action I feel like that was very unprofessional to come to me to tell me I need to put the salt and pepper shakers back Attitude is absolutely horrible. Chris needs to make sure he trains the rest of the waitress staff here also because they do not have the exceptional customer service that he has displayed today. Definitely would only recommend sitting at the bar when Chris is here. Below is the white staff that were absolutely unprofessional and rude. Please retrain these ladies.
