Video monitors show the movements throughout the class but there's also a coach present to demonstrate and make corrections, if necessary. At the clock's 3-2-1 you perform 6 sets of 25 second of work followed by 10 seconds of rest then you have 40? Seconds to switch stations. You do this for ~45:00 and then you're done! From what I understand, some days are more cardio / agility / body weight and some days are more strength focused. The coach also helps you modify any challenging movements to suit your personal abilities and goals! I will definitely be going back for more. The energy of the group was stellar ( I went at 12:15 ). I felt welcomed and got an excellent workout!

When I visit the Pee Dee to see family or for work, I pay the $5 guest fee to use this gym. There are numerous squat racks, weights, machines, dumbbells and plates of all sizes, and cardio equipment. The gym also offers a wide variety of classes such as CrossFit and spin as well as a run club. Fitness World Gym is 24 hour access with a key card. You can buy a membership that includes multiple locations, which is a good idea if you live in one area of the Pee Dee but work in another. Although I no longer live in the area, I find myself wishing Fitness World Gyms would expand to Charleston because I like the 24-hour, multi-location model. Hartsville's lucky to have Fitness World.

Amazing Family Oriented Program!…read more As a military family it can be difficult to find programs and a place to call home for your kids but we found it here. Going here for over a year my kids both love this place and have grown so much. My oldest has done Taekwondo for years but this is an actual program dedicated to growing and developing kids of character: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit. Unlike many programs this is an official and internationally recognized program taught by caring individuals that prioritize growth and standards over false senses of achievement. You have to earn your advancement (belts) every day. It's so amazing to have coaches that teach your children with love but accountability to a standard. The leaders also have a tournament team and truly love what they do because they travel at personal expense to coach our kids. The team also performs qualifying for AAU Nationals and many of them earning 1st Place at their tournaments. In 2023 AAU Nationals, the team won the most medals of any school in South Carolina and has already started planning for next year. So if you are looking to learn locally or compete nationally, this place does it all. Value: You can't beat it with this program meeting 3 days a week for 45 minutes and very reasonably priced after school care/camps when school is out. My kids have taken advantage of both evening classes and the camp program. Other activities in town that meet once a week cost more than the cost for both my kids taking evening class here. You do have to pay for the tests but it covers the new belt, boards they break, and registration with Kukkiwon in South Korea. If you stick it out, learn, and live a life of character, you can earn your black belt from the birthplace of Taekwondo. Thank you Sumter TKD for welcoming us, caring for my daughters, and helping them gain the self confidence in new and exciting ways.

The only negative I have may be a positive attribute for you, it is a family gym. There are plenty of activities and child care options to allow parents to fill the gym with kids, young and old. Also- cleaning wipes were not readily available. I had to search and eventually ask where cleaning wipes are to wipe down machines! Daily rate: $10 The weight room is large and well stocked. (Plenty of squat racks to go around!) I was there midday on a weekday and the crowd was so nice! However around 3 PM a group of teenage boys did make their way in and begin to easily overwhelm certain pieces of equipment, which is not ideal. The cross training area is incredible, full turf to allow sled pushing/tire flipping. There is a large jungle gym to allow for diverse and versatile workouts. The gym has two types of locker rooms, a quick change which has about 30 lockers (bring your own lock) and two full bathrooms. Also executive style locker rooms which are plush and include saunas. Their gym cinema option is awesome. It has treadmills and ellipticals, in front of a huge movie theater screen in a darkened room. There is as pool!
