Always find heat in here. My go to thrift. I'd recommend you go on their sale days like Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. You'll get the most bang for your buck from that. Solid peices and always a vibe.

Refund receipt from Island Thrift Centereach,NY 11720

Listen up, people - I always shop this store in Centereach for months. On Thursdays, they give seniors a 30% discount with photo ID. On 10/19, I purchased a few items for $26.03. I was called to a newly opened cashier, and I told the cashier that I would like the senior discount on my order. I showed him my license at that time. After finishing my order and paying with my credit card, the receipt did not reflect the 30% discount. The cashier claimed I never stated I wanted the discount. I said, "Then why did I have my license in my hand?" Had the manager called, and he wanted me to go buy another item. I said I had looked around the store, and there was nothing else I required. I stated to him, "Just give me credit on my card." He did just that, and I had looked online the next morning to see my purchase and the refund below pending. After the pending period expired, all that remained was the initial charge, and the refund was not there because the store denied payment.Very deceitful practice. The next day, I contacted my credit card company and explained the situation. I took a picture of the refund receipt and had a case opened against Island Thrift. Had the credit card disputes email address and sent them the refund receipt picture and explained what happened. The next day the refund amount was already posted to my account. This is the lowest of the low practices a store can do. If I could leave ZERO STARS I WOULD .

Decided to go with a friend here. Very nice stuff for a thrift store. It's like going to a big garage sale. They have everything clothes, furniture, suitcases, TVs. Each day based on the colors it's 50% off. To my surprise it was packed for a Wednesday night.

Do not shop here. High way robbery...selling cheap used clothes for higher price than brand new! My girlfriend found a shein dress at this location(shein is a low quality fast fashion website) listed for 8.99 with stains on it, while in store I found the dress on the website listed cheaper than at this thrift. When I brought it up to the manager, showed her the proof and if she could either price match or give me a discount and she said no we can't touch the price. Do better island thrift, people come here for affordable clothes not to be robbed

Way overpriced, must change tags on the daily because you can never find items at 50% off! They are in no way helping the needy.

Way too expensive to be a thrift store. Everything in here is priced on hopes and dreams or eBay going prices.

Once you enter the store there is a plethora and an incredible diversity of antiques carefully sectioned according to theme. Owned by Sabbath and assisted by Laura, the customer can easily get lost and forget the time. I found so many interesting items I didn't have the time to completely see everything. Initially, I telephoned the store searching for an antique candlestick telephone. Laura advised me she had one and she'd place it on the side till I could get to the store and not to worry. When I went to the store I met Laura who was very friendly, patient, knowledgeable and informative. Many of the antiques are subject to price negotiation unless otherwise marked. Once I called the store seeking an antique Edison wax cylinder phonograph. Although they had none available, I was referred to other antique stores in the nearby area that might have what I was looking for. The owner, Sabbath, is a very friendly person who owns this treasure land and is also very friendly, knowledgeable and will work with the customer. Laura is totally the same. I'm happy to rate Antique Attic with the highest rating possible and if you're ever in the area, please stop in and meet Sabbath and Laura. Respectfully submitted.
