I saw Jodi for re-piercing of a hole that began to grow closed. She has a nice little business right behind Idaho Central Credit Union on State St., in Eagle. I booked late at night and was able to get an appointment the next morning. Jodi did a great job with my daughter. She reached out via text before the appointment to suggest we bring a favorite blanket or animal to lessen the anxiety. Jodi was very friendly and professional, and ensured that my daughter was comfortable. She took her time marking the hole placement, and constantly asked for my opinion, which I appreciated. My experience here was nothing short of amazing! I got a rapid spray tan with Jodi, and she made me feel so comfortable. She worked with me beforehand to choose the right tan, her instructions were clear, & she answered all my questions as it was only my second spray tan. The tan dried evenly and exactly the color I wanted, and even more importantly, it faded evenly too. In fact, I couldn't even notice it was fading until I compared pictures. I was in town for a wedding and used yelp to find a spray tan. I called one other location that never returned my call. Jodi called right back and confirmed that she had availability. Great! She sent me an email about three days ahead with detailed instructions on prep for the tan. She works out of her home and not a retail location, so just be aware of that. Didn't bother me since my husband was with me. It is actually a great setup she has going. She has a totally separate studio downstairs with a permanent room for spray tanning. Heard such good reviews we decided to go here for my daughters prom. Super disappointed! The lady was nice and informative but she left huge white patches on my daugters legs and other places where no spray solution was even placed. We followed the directions given to us to the letter which recommended hand washing after 4-5 hours, my daughters hands were pure white and her wrists were dark, uneven and blotchy. There were other very uneven and blotchy places, and some she didn't even spray! This made for a stressful time getting ready for prom rather than the fun and easy time we had hoped for... By far the best/prettiest/most even spray tan I've ever had. I don't spray tan often, but when I do I have a standard machine-based place that I go to. I've done one airbrush before and got so dark it was embarrassing. So on a recent trip to Boise I was a bit apprehensive when the best-reviewed place on Yelp was a studio-based airbrush location. Now I wish I could pack Jodi in my suitcase and take her home with me! I got the rapid tan since I figured I couldn't keep from screwing it up for any longer than 3-4 hours. The difference between rapid and standard is the cure time, but you HAVE to wash off the rapid during that window or you will continue to get darker and darker. I followed the post-tan instructions and got perfect, slightly darker than my standard, color. Jodi's studio is a clean, cute, professional place off the side of her house in Eagle. Her equipment is clean and professional and she is quick and efficient. She sprayed my face lighter (at my request) and did a beautiful job blending my hands and feet using brushes. First time I haven't ended up with orange knuckles! The tan solution is really dark initially, due to the bronzer, but rinses off easily and leaves a great glow. I had visited my Dermatoligist a couple of weeks prior and found I had a pre-cancerous spot on my hand and had it frozen off. I have always been a sun worshiper but decided at 56, I had better start taking better care of my skin so I don't get cancer. I found Island Glow on the internet and read the YELP reviews. I decided to make an appointment and give my first spray tanning session a try. (My husband and I are leaving for Hawaii and usually "tan" before we go. I even talked him into getting a spray tan.). As others have mentioned, Jodi sent a confirmation email with pre-spray instructions. She even sent a confirming Text on the day of our appointment. We arrived ready to try out a new experience. Jody greeted us at the door and went over all we needed to know, answered any questions and talked about what color we were going for. The entire process was awesome and I felt like I had known Jodi forever and felt very comfortable throughout the spraying. As she was spraying/drying me, she was explaining what and why she did what she did. As we got ready to leave, she told us not to freak out at how dark we will look as the evening goes on or when you wake up in the morning. I have to say, I was a bit concerned when I got up this morning and looked in the mirror but after I took my shower, it looks amazing! We are going to follow all her recommendations as far as showering, moisturizing, and patting dry after showers. I will say if you have an event you are planning to attend, if you can, tan a couple of days ahead so you can shower and moisturize. I recommend Island Glow Tanning highly. Do it, save your skin!
