Erika and Gerald Fisher are both excellent at what they do and have the people skills to treat a patient like a person and not just another appointment. I'm no expert on optometry but they are able to run multiple non-invasive tests using advanced machinery to ensure your eye health. The ability to review a large photo of your optic nerve right in the presence of the patient is a plus. The desire to discuss the images and other tests with you like an adult is priceless. I highly recommend this practice. When it comes to your eye health you should not skimp. I honestly have no negatives to report on this practice and am thrilled they are located right in my neighborhood.

Also, you cannot email a payment so, a la 1985, have to give over the phone or drive there. Then was told by CFEC employee, Eric, in very condensing holier than now voice, that he couldn't deal with me because I "was upset". The staff was incredibly welcoming while promptly confirming my details from the patient intake/insurance form. Dr. Poon was quickly available to start my exam utilizing new and state-of-the-art equipment. She was engaging, thorough in her examination and took the time to discuss how my vision might change with age and even recommended Ocusoft Hypochlor Gel for my dry skin patch on my eyelid that I get occasionally during allergy season. She was screaming and panicking. She's normally a very calm child, so when she reacts like that, I know it's serious. Long story long, since this office was very close by, I rushed over because in an eye emergency, an actual eye doctor--with the proper tools and machines--is much more effective than a general ER. By the time I got there, it had been almost 30 minutes and she still couldn't open her eye or see, so I rushed inside. They were closing in 5 minutes, which I understood, but the very first thing the receptionist said was, "We're closing." I quickly explained that my daughter was crying in the car, couldn't open her eye at all, and I was extremely worried something serious had happened. I told her I was willing to pay anything for a quick consult. She politely said she would check with the doctor. She came back shortly after and said the doctor was set to leave soon, and couldn't see us since they were closing, that we should go to the hospital. I completely understand having closing hours, but when you're a specialist, and you hear that a child has an injury directly related to your field, you would expect at minimum a brief look, a quick assessment, or even some reassurance. Instead, they didn't even step out to see my child or offer guidance. They simply didn't care. For a practice that presents itself as a medical office, refusing to even glance at a pediatric eye emergency is incredibly disappointing. It's like a lifeguard who's off duty--seeing someone struggling in the water--and choosing to walk away. Of course you can do it, but is it the right thing to do? Even if you can't perform a full evaluation, basic human and professional duty would tell you to at least check if the situation is dangerous. I would never spend my money here with doctors that could care less under an emergency. I would not recommend them to anyone either. Maybe in the future the can do better. We did go to the hospital, they rushed us in, and then we followed up with a caring clinic (ponte vedra eye associates) the next day with a specialist that didn't even see kids but still saw her (God bless her) as the pediatric specialist downtown only had availability in a few days.

Front staff was very friendly each time I visited. I went in for an updated glasses prescription and left with contacts(I received an updated glasses prescription as well), which for me is a really big deal..... I have tried contacts in the past, and it has always been a frustrating experience. These guys heard my concerns, and still thought they could help me, so I gave them a chance. They were so patient and found the perfect contacts for me (something I thought would never be found). I can't even believe the amount of time they spend with you o make sure you really get the hang of it. I finally felt confident, and I was so excited because I am getting married soon and I thought I would never in a million years not be able to go without my glasses for the wedding, but now I can! The pricing was super affordable compared to what I have seen out there. I also have VSP so the cost of the vision exam was very low, but because I also went with contacts there was the contacts fitting fee which was very low. I think I spent around $70 out of pocket (this includes any applicable copay I had) for a well vision exam, a contacts fitting, glasses and contacts prescriptions and a little left over for the cost of the contacts (after my VSP allowance was applied maybe like $8) I will definitely be referring anyone I know to these guys, and will continue coming back! :)

I end up spending a fortune here every visit. First off, they claim their "wellness exam" is not covered by insurance because it's all new high-tech testing that only they offer. It's a $30+ charge for that, if you want it. I described this and all the testing to my sister and family who go to different eye doctors and they all basically laughed saying that those tests are all normal eye tests that they do at their doctor visits and are covered by insurance. So I was ripped off there. They charged a "lense tutorial fee" just to teach me how to put in and take out contact lenses, my first visit getting contacts. Yes, this was an extra charge to show me how to use them. Once again, family members that all use contacts said they were never charged a fee to be taught how to use the contacts. It was basically just some lady sitting and staring at me anyway, watching me struggle the first few times then said oh you got it, ok bye. Ridiculous that now I've been charged TWO fees that would be covered anywhere else. Then you get walked out to "pick out your glasses". You CAN say no, you don't want to get glasses there, but I can't stand that they basically make you feel you need to buy them there. Some people getting glasses for the first time may not know better. And of course the glasses there are more expensive than Visionworks, etc. So once again, getting their patients to spend more money there instead of giving them options. My contacts were also much more expensive than needed. I was dumb and got my contacts there as I was on a time crunch at the time and wanted them before vacation. So they promised they'd be there in 2 days and I can come get them. When it came time to get more contacts, I priced our 1-800-Contacts who would mail me my contacts so I don't have to go pick them up, and they were $30 cheaper PER BOX. This place is a ripoff. They should be ashamed. Go to a normal eye doctor- one that doesn't try to upsell a basic eye appointment with "special tests" and "lense tutorial" fees.

They only changed course **after** my insurance contacted them, which makes it clear that they had the facts all along but failed to act in my best interest. I made a significant payment for eye exam, glasses and contacts. The eye exam was fine, but I had…read moreissues with the glasses and contacts. I went to Trillium 3 times as my glass were so uncomfortable and painful I couldn't even wear them. Every time an adjustment was made a different part of the glasses caused pain. In addition these are progressive glasses and when the adjustments were made they didn't fit on my nose correctly which caused issues - I can only see farsighted. When the last adjustment was made I was rather concerned and asked 'what if I can't wear these'-I was told to check Amazon for some kind of eyeglass gear and if needed to call the manufacturer. Although effort was made to fix my glasses I don't see why I should be searching for something to fix my glasses nor call anyone. I purchased the glasses from Trillium, although you may not be legally liable, I would expect much more than this. Well I got arm guards for the arms of the glasses and it didn't work. Now I have scaley, red soars on the sides of my head and they hurt.
