I told her not only did I need to update my prescription but that my eyesight has been getting bad so I wanted a full exam of my eyes. She made my appointment for 3 weeks out. I show up for my appointment and she has me fill out all the forms and takes my co pay then tells me that Dr Cook will not write a prescription for contacts. I said I have waited 3 weeks for this appointment and need my prescription refilled. She said Dr Cook is a surgeon and will not write a prescription that I need to see the optometrist for that . I said you mean to tell me a specialist of the eye will not write a prescription and why did you not tell me that to begin with. Very rude and very disappointing. I'll post again about getting my copay back.

Sara (office manager) is so incredibly rude. I was referred to him by my insurance and when I arrived for my appointment I was told by Sara that my insurance wouldn't cover my visit - hence, I assumed I was denied coverage. Later I found out I was covered. I'm currently working out with my insurance company.

When Dr. Easton retired, I thought, oh-oh, there goes a great practice. But, Dr.Moffett (the "new eye-guy") was excellent, so we've remained with this practice. Recently, I made an appointment and I had some issues I was hoping to discuss with Dr. Moffett. I was surprised to see other names on the practice, and was concerned at first; I needed to see an experienced eye doctor, not a newbee. But I saw Dr. Lavin, an eye doc with years of experience. He took my concerns seriously, did a thorough examine, and found the solution to my particular issue. Very happy with the quality of care I received, so this is still my go-to place for eye care. Staff: I've always had a good experience with all of their staff. Friendly and patient (it can't be fun to wait while we clients try on 20+ pair glasses and ask, "how do these look?"). Product: although I always wish they had more frames, there's only so much space. But I do appreciate that prices for each are on the frame. I buy one pair from them when my insurance chips in, then buy my second pair from Costco. I also drop in whenever I need my frames tightened, and they're very accommodating. Extra services: my hubby gets irritated with extra charges, such as the $39 3D eye scan. But they tell you it's optional before they do it, so you can opt out. Since I've got a family member with glaucoma, I choose to have mine done about every other year. (Probably will increase that if/when I show signs of the disease). No pressure from the staff.
