My husband has been in Halifax three times and was treated very well all three times. He has had…read morebad roommates in cardiac care, but I seriously can't blame the hospital for that. They got him moved as soon as another bed was available. We were both in Halifax after a very serious car accident, leaving him with broken ribs and me with neck fracture and lumbar spine fracture. We went into Brooks rehab after our hospital stay, and that was very good also. Our one main concern was that my husband was without pain meds and food/water for an extended amount of time because they kept saying he was going for a specific MRI (for gallbladder and pancreatitis), but they never showed up until the next day. He was in serious pain, even sweating due to pain, so I was very upset by this. Alex and Brittney, on 7th floor were WONDERFUL nurses! They came quickly when he needed them and never made him feel like a burden to them.

My experience with Halifax Health Medical Center was very disappointing. The workplace came across…read moreas unprofessional and disorganized, with poor communication and a lack of consistency in how employees were treated and informed about important matters. I also felt that there was a lack of accountability and genuine consideration for patients. Decisions and communication were sometimes handled in a way that felt misleading and careless, which made it difficult to trust management and feel valued as a patient.

I went there after being told by another doctor at Premier eye that I had a double eye infection…read moreand that I would probably need almost immediate surgery after being seen by Dr. Grossman. I was told I do not have an eye infection and surgery wasn't necessary just to keep an eye on things. This eye Institute was immaculately clean. They really treated me with the upmost respect and Chelsea did all my pre-examinations explained everything as she went along and then I saw Dr. Grossman, who was extremely nice and understanding about my anxiety and what I had been told the day before and did not put me through any unnecessary testing, but was able to completely reassure me that I did not have an double eye infection. I would highly recommend this office. They got me in almost immediately and gave me reassurance.

My insurance should have been better verified so that I did not spend nearly a $1000 for a procedure that should have cost less than $250. When I returned for the second eye, they were going to charge me again until I explained that I had already overpaid with the first eye. They then applied the overcharge to the second eye. I am still waiting for the remainder to get refunded. My first surgery was April 2, 2026. My second was April 30, 2026. It's now June 17th and it may still be another month before I get the overpayment back.

My son and I were seen by Jared Hansen at AdventHealth Centra Urgent Care in Port Orange on Monday,…read moreAugust 17, 2026, and we couldn't be more pleased. From check‑in to check‑out the staff were amiable, professional, and genuinely compassionate. Jared provided a swift, accurate diagnosis and the treatment plan and medications were exactly what we needed. The entire process was efficient and handled with empathy and care--there was real warmth and attention to detail at every step. My whole family has used this urgent care (I've been seen here before), and every visit has been a consistently pleasant experience. I highly recommend AdventHealth Centra Urgent Care in Port Orange. Thank you to Jared and the entire team for your excellent care and kindness.

We explained the issues and he left. They pulled a blood sample and later Amanda stated it came back ok. Long story short Dr. Taylor never came back in the room during the entire 3 hr visit. We left and went home. I made my wife some chicken soup and slowly felt better. Today 7-2 my wife went to her Kidney Doctor. He reviewed her blood work from the ER and stated that her sodium had bottomed out and they should have gave her two bags of IV. I get it, he said / she said, but what REALLY pissed me off was Dr. Taylor's comment that he had a short attention span and give him the short version, like we were bothering him. Maybe his lack of "attention" missed the issue on the blood test?? How does someone with a short attention span become a MD in school? .......we will not go back to this location.

Upon arriving I gave my Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Insurance card and Identification while filling…read moreout paperwork. I was charged a $135 copay. My copay for hospital outpatient is $135. My copay cost for a quick / urgent care is $35.00. When I called the next day to inquire about getting an invoice (other than the debit card) receipt, they mentioned that someone new is doing their billing and it may take 6-8 weeks to get my overcharged $100 reimbursed. Frustrating! As to rating Dr. Akram Batniji, I give 5 stars. Quite easy to understand and devoted complete attention to my needs. Never going too quickly as to rush and miss something. He was also extremely kind to my girlfriend needs as well. She was there with the same symptoms as I. By the way, my girlfriend's copay was $50, exactly what her plan is scheduled to pay. I definitely recommend this urgent care facility, however if you are feeling well enough, you may have to prove that the copay being charged is accurate. My incident may be a one time occurrence. I will revise this to 5 stars as soon as my hard earned overcharged copay is replenished. Update on my experience with Atlantic Urgent Care..... Dr. Akram Batniji personally called me on a SATURDAY afternoon to check it in with me to see how I was feeling AND vowed to make up for the overcharged co-pay. He politely explained how the server for my Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield was temporary down when I initially tried to pay for services. A check for the refund of overpayment was in my hands within days of his phone call. Under normal circumstances I would have forgotten about overpaying, because life happens so fast. I applaud Dr. Batniji for going above and beyond. This urgent care medical business is top notch. Sometimes human error and clerical issues can cause issues however if things were ever to fail at Atlantic Urgent Care, rest assured, things will be made right, quickly.

Ok, everybody can miss something once. I went there again with the same types of symptoms and again was told it was a minor item and given some ear drops. I told the doctor what happened the last time I was there and that I could have a sinus infection. He didn't even look up my nose to see if it was infected. Later that night, I could not hear out of my ear. The next morning I went to a different urgent care and again was told I had an ear infection and sinus infection and was put on high dosage antibiotics. The people are very nice, and it is a clean and very good environment, but they obviously do not listen to their patients.
