Have utilized this urgent care center twice, and was under diagnosed both times. The first time, I was told I just had a small irritation in my ear, given some cream and sent on my way. 2 days later in Phoenix I saw a different urgent care and I had a severe ear infection as well as a sinus infection. Ok, everybody can miss something once. I went there again with the same types of symptoms and again was told it was a minor item and given some ear drops. I told the doctor what happened the last time I was there and that I could have a sinus infection. He didn't even look up my nose to see if it was infected. Later that night, I could not hear out of my ear. The next morning I went to a different urgent care and again was told I had an ear infection and sinus infection and was put on high dosage antibiotics. The people are very nice, and it is a clean and very good environment, but they obviously do not listen to their patients. read more

Nothing but positive things to say about this urgent care! I recently went to a different urgent care a month prior just down the road, (I won't say their name) and did not have a great experience. It all felt rushed, get in and out, and that I was a dollar sign to them. This urgent care treated me with respect, took the time to explain things to me, and had me in and out in a reasonable time. I finally came across this office that was very close to home so I decided to give it a chance based on their good reviews. The place is super clean and everyone is very friendly and professional. Upon arriving I gave my Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Insurance card and Identification while filling out paperwork. I was charged a $135 copay. My copay for hospital outpatient is $135. My copay cost for a quick / urgent care is $35.00. When I called the next day to inquire about getting an invoice (other than the debit card) receipt, they mentioned that someone new is doing their billing and it may take 6-8 weeks to get my overcharged $100 reimbursed. Frustrating! As to rating Dr. Akram Batniji, I give 5 stars. Quite easy to understand and devoted complete attention to my needs. Never going too quickly as to rush and miss something. He was also extremely kind to my girlfriend needs as well. She was there with the same symptoms as I. By the way, my girlfriend's copay was $50, exactly what her plan is scheduled to pay. I definitely recommend this urgent care facility, however if you are feeling well enough, you may have to prove that the copay being charged is accurate. My incident may be a one time occurrence. I will revise this to 5 stars as soon as my hard earned overcharged copay is replenished. Update on my experience with Atlantic Urgent Care..... Dr. Akram Batniji personally called me on a SATURDAY afternoon to check it in with me to see how I was feeling AND vowed to make up for the overcharged co-pay. He politely explained how the server for my Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield was temporary down when I initially tried to pay for services. A check for the refund of overpayment was in my hands within days of his phone call. Under normal circumstances I would have forgotten about overpaying, because life happens so fast. I applaud Dr. Batniji for going above and beyond. This urgent care medical business is top notch. Sometimes human error and clerical issues can cause issues however if things were ever to fail at Atlantic Urgent Care, rest assured, things will be made right, quickly. read more

No one likes to get sick, but especially when you're new to the area. After calling my insurance company and inquiring which Urgent Care locations were "in network", I quickly choose Atlantic Urgent Care since it's close by and had a lot of great reviews. I was happy with my decision. I was seen by Dr. Johnson after a relatively short wait time. He evaluated my stomach bug and sent me on my way to get a lab test done and pick up some antibiotics. It's good to know this Urgent Care is there for any future medical needs. They are very kind and efficient to work with. read more

We are from out of town and my daughter woke up with an ear infection the day after our flight in. We choose this one based on reviews although it was about 20 mins from our hotel. It was a Saturday. The nurse and the doctor were super friendly, fast and efficient. The facility is beautiful and immaculately clean. They even sent us to Publix so we could do our grocery shopping while waiting for the script, and it ended up being free! There were 3 people ahead of us so I was expecting an hour wait with just one doc, but we were in and out in about 45 minutes. read more

I have never felt like suing a place, but after my experience here I considered it. I walked in for my injury and was turned away by the receptionist and Dr. himself because it was a work related injury. I said I was willing to pay out of pocket, but they refused to treat me. They literally told me that no I could not be seen by the Dr. Not only was this frustrating to hear, but it is also ILLEGAL. It is an EMTALA violation. They better watch out or they are going to be shut down like they deserve. Thank god I went to a real ER after my horrible experience and got the treatment I deserved. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I have been here a few times since its opening and received excellent care. The doctors and PA's take their time with you, are warm, caring, and courteous. The wait time has always been minimal and the surroundings are pristine, visually beautiful (as strange as that may sound), and calming. The staff and lovely young lady at the front is very friendly and kind as well. My concerns are always addressed. Because I work in the healthcare industry myself, I know the value of quality care. In the past I have had to come back asking for a letter clearing me for "return to work" and they have provided such with no issue or hesitation or additional follow-up visit/charge. I have also been to the other 2 urgent care clinics on Dunlawton (the new Centra Care excluded) and not had nearly the consistent, pleasant, and hassle-free experiences I have had with Atlantic Urgent Care. In the past, the other clinics may have provided acceptable doctor experience, but very unpleasant experiences with the receptionist/intake person/front office staff. I actually walked out of one I was so mad and the woman was so rude at the front (Primecare Port Orange across the street). If you want quick, good, caring service with friendly staff - this is the right urgent care clinic for the Port Orange area! read more

Waited less than 10 minutes in a very clean and pleasant waiting room,doctor x-rayed my foot, and removed some glass with the upmost skill. I would highly recommend this Urgent Care. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Atlantic Urgent Care. I called the clinic in the afternoon to ask them what time they would be open until. I was told 8pm. I arrived at 7pm and as I arrived another person also arrived in the parking lot. I found it odd that the front doors were locked. Finally, myself and the other person who had just arrived were allowed in to the building only to be told that the office was closed and the PA on staff would not be seeing additional patients. The poor woman who had walked in with me had what appeared to be a very serious foot injury. The PA on staff was very unsympathetic and kept stating that he had already clocked out and would be unable to help us. I explained to him that I called before I came and was told that they would be open until 8pm. He didn't care and remained very unsympathetic and tried to say that he was told to shut down the office??? I just don't understand why they wouldn't take time to help people who were hurting.
