And, yes, they do serve up wonderfully generous filets of super fresh wahoo and other local catches. Then, if you're out on one of Whale Harbor Marina's charters and catch a fish, they will cook it for you...can't be a better deal or taste treat than that. For Charters, they have a whole bunch of them, all with licensed captains as well as knowledgeable and season crews. Besides fishing, there are also offerings of sunset, snorkeling, sandbar, and other such cruises. There is good dockage, and if you come in by boat, even a dockage spot reserved for restaurant use.

After stocking up on provisions we were off, with lovely temperatures and steady 15-20 knot breezes from the east, the Watkins may be an older design but in those conditions she excelled, the dolphin certainly enjoyed playing alongside. If you want to charter in the Keys Treasure Harbor is a great place, Pam maintains a beautiful peaceful facility- if you like sailing this is THE place to go. Our houseboat was severely infested with cockroaches. Imagine cleaning a bowl and grabbing a…read moresponge, only to have a bunch of tiny cockroaches crawl all over your hand. My fiancé experienced this firsthand. While sitting on the couch, they crawled everywhere, running all over the place. They came from the AC unit, behind counters, and even ran all over the coffee grounds they provided. We know Florida has a cockroach problem, but this infestation was extremely severe. The place they kept the pots and pans was full of cockroach waste, which is a health hazard. We paid about a grand for this boat and didn't even get to stay a single night. It's been about two weeks now, and I'm demanding my refund for the stay and reimbursement for the night we had to leave and find another place to stay. I should also be compensated for the food we bought and had to throw away because it was contaminated. You should be completely ashamed to let someone rent out your boat in such a disgusting condition. It's a disgrace, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. You might even end up bringing some home with you!

We were only looking for shelter, but Catoosa Cove Marina proved to be far more than that. The staff were very professional and got us safely tied up in winds that were gusting to 25 knots. The laundry and showers were outstanding, and we enjoyed excellent meals at their restaurant, Habano's. The frontal system passed, but we were having so much fun that we decided to stay for three more days. We will definitely return to Coloosa Cove on future cruises. - Ron I
