Xenotes Tour was so much fun. It's different that the other two (Xcaret and Xplor) and I highly…read morerecommend this one! At the Xenotes Tour, you get to enjoy four cenotes plus different activites at each: Ziplining, Snorkeling, Rappeling, Kayaking, Inner Tubes, and Cliff Jumping. There's also a photographer that is with us throughout the whole time capturing pictures of everyone in our group. They also provided two meals, the first one was pastries and beverages (water, soda, hot chocolate, and coffee) and the last one was a full on buffet spread (salad, cheese, meats, bread, water, soda and beer). Our tour guide, Manny was amazing and he made the trip very memorable. He was very helpful with my mother in law and my little son. He guided the group from beginning to end and made the trip to all four cenotes a breeze. We all had a fantastic time and we even purchased the pictures at the end. Aside from the photographer, I recommend bringing a water case for your phone and a GoPro! We got so many amazing videos with my husband's GoPro. I cannot express how fun this excursion was and would definately do it again. Tips: Wear a swimsuit, water shoes and comfortable clothing on the bus and for after. Towels are provided. Bring cash to tip your tour guide for an amazing time. The cenotes are located in the middle of the jungle so cell phone service is not available.

Also a great playlist for a very long drive... which would be my only thing - it's a good hour and change drive but if you're okay with that - then def a highlight of a day. And again - Elise and Valeria were 10/10.

Book this tour!! I went with my husband and we both cannot stop raving about this excursion. We…read morewere debating between this, and xplor- very happy with our decision. Transportation was right on time, no transfer to another bus, or another stop, or (like other excursions we've been on). Also it took less than an hour from the hotel zone. The guys working at Selvatica went above and beyond. What a nice group of people working. Every single person working was non stop going, and still were so happy and nice. They made us feel comfortable, and made our day so enjoyable. It is a guided, organized experience so you're guaranteed to do everything that you signed up for. Barely any wait, and you're basically with the same group the whole time. The light 'snack', is a turkey sandwich, and then you get lunch (tacos/fajitas) at the end. There's a very cool bar, the place itself is picture worthy, you feel like you're in a tree house! Highly recommend doing this. There are lockers there, but can't bring phones on most of the activities. There are photographers (hanging from zip lines!), and photos for purchase at the end. $100, however they came with nearly 150 photos, worth the purchase. Recommend - wearing comfy clothes, bring a swim suit, and if you have crocs id wear those.

Xel-Há - Stunning Nature, So-So Food, and Skip the Timeshare…read more Xel-Há is easily one of the more beautiful and enjoyable destinations in the Quintana Roo area. The natural surroundings, cenotes, lazy river, and waterslides offer a full day of adventure and relaxation. If you break down the ticket price by the activities included, it's actually a solid overall value. But let's be clear: this is not a 5-Diamond experience. The food is the biggest letdown. The buffet is nothing special--average at best. The fries, in particular, are almost always cold and soggy, thanks to a heating system that doesn't keep up, even when food is freshly made. It's the kind of food that fills you up but doesn't leave an impression. A few tips to help you make the most of your trip: * Buy tickets online in advance - This helps you skip the lines and sometimes score a small discount. * Avoid visiting during election season - Due to Mexican law, no alcohol is served during this time, even at tourist locations. If part of your plan is to sip a drink by the water, plan around that. * Skip the timeshare presentation - While it might sound like a good deal (free breakfast + discounted or free tickets), it's really just a pitch to buy into a discount program. You're not buying a vacation home--just access to marked-up offers with a "discount" tag. If you do your homework, you can usually find better deals on your own. Bottom line: Go to Xel-Há for the nature and fun activities. Just manage your expectations with the food, and avoid the timeshare trap. It's worth a visit--just not worth believing the hype.

Overall we had a wonderful experience but with major hiccups first they allowed our travel agent to…read morebook a dinner reservation to a restaurant that no longer exist and we didn't find out till check in while verifying all of our reservations secondly one of our two reservations to xoximilco was not in the system we canceled and rebooked and at the end of our trip we were being charged for that first reservation that didn't show on the computer which caused the check out to prolong which made us miss our scheduled reservation bus back to the airport. Then they tried to insinuate that it was our fault that we missed our bus a 5-minute checkout turned into a 30 minute checkout because a f****** on their part. on the drive back from xoximilco, there was a group of about 10 people that were clearly intoxicated, being very disruptive and nothing was done about it. Skip the timeshare presentation they told us that we would get a $400 massage and it turned out to be maybe a $70 massage also they say it's an hour and a half from beginning to end and it took over 2 1/2 hours. The all-inclusive is definitely worth it if you eat a lot and drink a lot which is something we did. on our last night there we went to restaurant that supposedly had the tomahawk steaks come to find out they didn't they had sent their meats to another restaurant so that was very disappointing. Staff is very friendly
