Probably my favorite coffee shop on the island. The flavors are extensive, home made, or sugar free. There are several summer specials and your traditional flavors. Lots of milk alternatives, tea, and stuff that does not contain caffeine. Cute little shop with other locally made crafts, candles, soap and pastry! read more

Saw this shop the other day and decided to ride our bikes here the next morning. Shop is very nice inside, and definitely one of the best cups of coffee we've had in the OBX over our many trips here. The muffins were pretty good too! Definitely a must stop. we'll be back! P.S. The owner said she planned on staying open during the off season as well. read more

This is very small coffee shop near the beach in Avon. They only have a few types of coffee they sell, but do offer many syrups. There is a very limited selection of pastries as well, but they did not look fresh. I ordered my usuals latte and the barista was very nice but not formally trained. They only have a prosumer (small) machine to work with but the place is small enough that it works. She frothed the milk too much (more resembling a cappuccino) and it was too hot. The place is quiet so it is a nice atmosphere but extremely limited seating. Overall, the latte was acceptable and relatively good for the beach area, but not what an aficionado would say was great. read more

This is one of the few places to get good coffee in Avon! I love that they have plant-based coffee options (almond, soy, oat, and coconut) plus many great flavor choices for lattes/macchiatos! They also have pastries that I didn't get a chance to try during my visit. The location isn't ideal (there was a huge rain puddle that made it difficult to reach the stairs to the shop from the sidewalk), but I thought they made a great effort decorating the exterior. The girls running the shop were friendly and nice to talk to while I was waiting for my drink. The only main drawback I see is that their iced drinks seem a bit watered down (not made strong enough) even with asking for light ice. Otherwise, I was happy with my experience here and would consider returning to try more of what they have to offer. read more

Hands down, best coffee place in the OBX. I walked by this locally owned and operated coffee shop every day for a week before I stopped in. Boy am I glad I eventually did!! In my visits I tried a drip coffee, their pour over, and an espresso. In talking to the owner for a moment I found out she's highly selective of where her beans are sourced from and it seems to me that reflects real care in putting out a great product. They also have some fancy mixed coffees drinks & smoothies. I recommend the drip coffee if you're there early in the morning. If they have chocolate braids, they're amazing! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for really great caffeinated drinks... but come early because at the time of my visits, they were closing at 3:00. read more

It was my first trip to the OuterBanks and so happy to discover this new coffee shop! Great addition to the area with their amazing and delicious selections of coffee and treats. My latte was perfect and went back for an iced brew the following day. There are all kinds of goodies to try or take home, the space is hip yet cozy, makes you want to hang out as if in someone's living room. The music was fun and wished I brought my laptop to get some emails done. Totally recommend. read more

AMAZING! I can't say enough good things about Thai place! We visited a couple of times while we stayed and each time we were greeted by the owner who runs the shop in such a kind, open manner. She was always super sweet, apologized for the wait (which was totally fine because she's a 1 woman show making up the best coffee around!), and chatted with us each time. You can tell she genuinely loves what she's doing and answered any questions we had about customizing things, what things were, etc. Amazing coffee, amazing owner, amazing shop! Really cute shop with great coffee and friendly staff! My husband raved about his Americano. They have lots of alternative milk options as well. Indoor seating is limited, but comfortable, modern, and clean. Bonus: They have kid friendly snacks and drinks! It was our good fortune to be staying in OBX right across from Isla Coffee Shop. What a wonderful place. I walked there daily for my morning brew. Terrific customer service. The owner always greets you when you walk in the door. Really terrific baked goods to choose from. Today I got the vegan cinnamon roll. In days past, I got croissants, scones, or homemade muffins.
