Parking on south end looking toward Space X launch site

Entry fee $12. Open 6 am to 11 pm. Great staff. Beautiful clean space with a lot of fishing spots and plenty of parking. Amphitheater is great place to bring lunch and hang out while enjoying the beautiful beach. Vibe here is very relaxing.

Always a good time at south padre island. Lots of live music, seaside bars, fish and chips, sun and surf. Love the winter texans

Beautiful beach park in South Padre Island. Great boardwalk and amenities - showers, chair and umbrella rentals, restrooms, concessions and grills/picnic area. Day passes are $12 and you can purchase an annual pass for $100. Entrance is free on a bicycle. Popular place for surfing, kite boarding and just enjoying the day!

I came to visit Brownsville for my Grandma's birthday, but we also had to squeeze in a quick visit to South Padre. In order to maximize social distancing, we decided to enter through Isla Blanca Park. Parking was a breeze, we parked right next to the boardwalk. The boardwalk was scarcely used, and Dad was able to sit back there and enjoy since his hip was bothering him and he couldn't stay on the sand too long. The park is a quick walk to the Jettis, too, so if you're looking for a great spot to take some pictures, I recommend shelling out the $12 to park close out here. (Cash only, and there's a discount for Veterans)

It's closed. You can't get in, the security at the gate turns everyone away. Normally this would not warrant a review but we could not find this information online anywhere! So hopefully this review helps you. The beach is still accessible if you park elsewhere and walk over. Actually, I would highly recommend doing this if you don't mind the walk because there was almost no one there. The pic is from doing this.

Not too crowded but a nice beach. Clean and quiet. They also have food available. Next time I'm in the area, I'll visit again.

This park is okay. They aren't kept up and some are very tight. The grass has stickers everywhere. You can't walk the dog without digging out the burrs in their feet. Do your research on a good spot and be prepared to lay down something on the grass area. Also the ants are everywhere so bring bug killer.

Basically a run down RV park. Everything is old. The fresh water that comes out of the spigot smells horrible.

I always wondered why not further south? I think it just meant more driving for my dad. Lol. This resort town is incredibly laid back. If you're searching for upscale dining and shopping, go elsewhere. Head to Dallas! Lol. The people are mostly friendly. The beaches weren't pristinely clean, but most areas we went to were not waste-ridden. These waters were very calm and soothing when we were here in late May 2025. There is tar, but not to the extent that Kaitlyn B. complained about in her Jun 1, 2025 review. Not in my experience. If it gets on your skin, use an old wash rag or a paper towel and baby oil. Clothes are a little tougher. Just don't put them in the dryer because the stains will set even deeper. In the area that I can recommend for nature lovers: + Butterfly Garden + Isla Blanca Park + Sea Turtle Inc. + Whaling Wall + Bonus: Sea Shell Beach (so many shells + free parking, but no restrooms!) Take the State Park Rd 100 (aka Ocean Blvd) all the way north past the South Padre Island Convention Center. You can't miss it. The road ends. Don't be scared. Be cautious of standing water and lots of sand in the roadway, though. Be adventurous, have fun, and please manage your damn trash properly & dispose of it when you go back into town!

No funky smells, linens were fresh and of excellent quality. Pillows smell fresh, were plump, and there were a generous amount for each sleeper. Beds were sturdy and very, very comfortable. *Ample towels, also of excellent quality. Not threadbare or skimpy. *Very close to the elevator, and there was plenty of parking nearby. *There is a toaster, a microwave, and a big fridge with ice maker. The kitchen is fully equipped to make a meal. *The dining table is large and sturdy. We spent many hours playing games with the playing cards provided in the drawer near the TV. *The A/C is strong and cold. *Close to restaurants, and a 2 minute walk to the pools and beach. *Enormous balcony with different seating options. *The whole condo is well-appointed and very homey. The sites are all crushed gravel, which isn't as charming as grass but stays clean and drains well. The pool is a decent size, hot tub works, and the bathrooms are genuinely good; four individual rooms, each with their own shower and toilet, real AC that actually functions. No waiting in line, no communal chaos. That's worth something, especially in South Padre heat. There's a rec room that sits mostly empty during the day, a small gym, and laundry on site. The spot where Pier 19 used to be before it burned down now has premium RV spaces with better water views if that matters to you. Staff was friendly across the board, every interaction. It's a well-run park. Nothing blew us away, but everything worked, and that's more than you can say for a lot of places. Would come back.
