Dr. Gollub misdiagnosed my son, a very close friend, and also my husband. Go somewhere else, please.

I have to say, I don't think I've *ever* had a day-one initial consult experience as thorough, positive & caring as it was with Karen today. I can't believe that she's registered as "only" a nurse - she's much more knowledgeable than 99% of the doctors I've had, listens incredibly well, and is very down-to-earth with her advice and generous with her time. I'm sticking with her as my primary doctor, hands down!! The medical profession and the world in general would be so much better off if there were more Karens out there!!!

I love Santa Fe, and try to visit often, so having a doctor there was something I knew I'd like...well never once did she treat me like that was weird, or I was less than any of her other patients because (obviously) I wouldn't be a regular. When I chose her (off of Yelp), I was slightly bummed that the only other review didn't elaborate more on the type of care...I was specifically looking for prenatal/maternity care. Well she was just above and beyond everything I hoped for. She was beyond kind, attentive, inquisitive, and INFORMATIVE. She is so knowledgeable and offered me so much of her time to share her wealth thereof with me. It truly put my mind at ease about some potential issues. I am SO grateful to have walked in the door to her practice. Her staff at the front reflected her same ultra-attentive attitudes, keeping me informed of time frames, fees/charges, etc. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. And I typically LOATHE the doctor's office.

When they left the room they left the door wide open! Then she ran test three times to be sure the results were correct. She told me she was going to remove half of my cervix and to come in the following week. I told her I would prefer to work on it holistically first. She said 'If you don't do this you will die". I then worked with a practitioner who cleared up the dysplasia completely. Went back to Wolfswinkle who ran the test again and I was clear of any dysplasia. She refused to believe I ever had it and said her testing must have been wrong. Then she told me not to come back! She's hard, cold and doesn't listen to her patients.

I was told when I called the office, they had a Nurse Practitioner that could see me. I offered a few details, to make sure this would be a good fit. I am in the medical profession and I am not opposed to a qualified NP. Usually when they are working under a physician in a physician's office. They are qualified. Today I didn't experience that. To say the least, I left highly disappointed and really felt like I was not treated well. I didn't get to see anyone. I was told the Nurse Practitioner didn't have a DEA number. And therefore, she does not prescribe medication. This would have been nice to know before I was told she could see me. I then asked if they had a physician that could see me. I was told no. ( Not for sure then where the physician was. Or why at some point she couldn't see me.) Unfortunately, today was a really bad disappointing day. Would not recommend this place.

I ended up in the ER twice because I couldn't get anyone to call me back after a month of bleeding and acute pain. Then after the ER visits, my follow-up appointment was cancelled the morning of because they were "out of supplies." I get that, but finding out by calling them instead of being properly notified was infuriating. Their phone lines are atrocious and they never call back. I was not notified about their location change and found out the morning of. Not once in two months of reaching out did I get someone to answer my voicemails. I called their emergency line and was callously told it "isn't our problem." I reached out to office managers, because the actual providers shouldn't be held back by the absolute disaster zone that is the front staff, but I never received any responses from them either. Do not go here. The front desk doesn't care if you live or die. I sound hysterical, but after spending over twelve hours crying and in pain in the ER, and in acute pain for a month because of their incompetence, you deserve to be forewarned.

Do not trust them! From the ultrasound to the diagnosis from the diabetic doctors. I had the worst…read moreexperience and hardest pregnancy for no reason. I had to fight every step of my pregnancy and advocate for myself and my unborn baby. I passed my one-hour glucose test however I was told I was diabetic based on a test that can not be used to diagnose anything but be used as a tool to help aid with diabetes. I was given numbers they wanted fastings under and when I met these numbers with dieting the numbers were changed and now lower than I originally was given. I had to take on a strict diet during this pregnancy because of this false diagnosis. The diabetic Dr no longer wanted to see me because I questioned her and refused to take a drug my body did not need. I was threatened if I didn't take the insulin they would deliver my baby early and have her in the NICU. I was also told if I didn't take this medicine I would be giving my baby diabetes. I was told my baby was too big in the 99th percentile and she would need to be delivered early. I was told her kidneys had way more fluid in them than they had. I became a diabetes expert and how to diagnose, what the current numbers should be. I did extensive research to learn as much as I could because I knew something wasn't right and was fishy with this office. I researched the side effects of the insulin they were trying to force down my throat it had side effects that could have killed me due to health conditions I have with vitamin deficiency. I finally had enough and went for a second opinion only to find out that everything that I felt and researched was correct I was never diabetic, you can NOT diagnose off A1C. I was told I was correct for sticking to my guns and not letting them bully me into taking medication that was not needed. My baby isn't as big as the kept says she is only in the 80th percentile she is a normal size given her dad and his family's height. Her kidneys do have fluid but nothing of concern and not as much as they were telling me. They could have killed me and my unborn child if I had shut up and listened to them. These are dangerous people looking for medication money kickbacks. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Go for a second opinion if something doesn't feel right question it, stand up for yourself don't let them try to bully you.

The ultrasound was supposed to be a longer, more comprehensive ultrasound to check on baby's heart. Instead, the entire scan, performed by a very young tech, took 15 minutes. Afterwards, Dr. Ruma waltzed into the room, spent about 5 minutes looking at the images and then told us, quite confidently, that our baby had an abnormal heart. He said most likely Ebstein's Anomaly or Transposition of the Great Vessels. Both require multiple surgeries and are rare. In fact, he told us Ebstein's only occurs in 1/20,000 births. When asked if he had diagnosed it before he said "no" but he was confident he was right in that our baby had a serious heart defect. He did not reference any imaging to back this up. He told us to go to see Dr. Patel, a Pediatric Cardiologist, in Albuquerque. My husband and I left in total shock. I was sick to my stomach for days and neither of us could sleep. A few days later we got a 1 hour long cardio echogram and met Dr. Patel. We were told baby's heart is NORMAL. Nothing wrong. Dr. Ruma is an irresponsible and arrogant doctor. His ridiculous diagnosis was not even remotely accurate and he gave it without having clear images and without the knowledge required to give such a serious diagnosis. I would never see him again under ANY circumstances and want to warn other women that this man is dangerous and grossly unprofessional.

I first went to her for a bladder infection (which had cleared up by the time I could get in). I let her know when I went in that I had had long term, increasing abdomenal pain so she did scans and told me I should have surgery because it could be cysts, endometriosis or worse. It was out patient surgery. I was told by the nurses I would be up feeling better in a few days which was not true. The surgery was much more traumatic than I had been lead to believe it would be. I had a difficult recovery which took a few weeks. The first two nights after surgery I had to sit in a chair to sleep because laying down was excruciatingly painful. I called in an exhausted panic at one point and was told it was most likely a common side effect of the surgery brought on by filling the abdomen with too much air during surgery and if it was too painful I should to to the closest ER. Directly after surgery the abdominal pain was much worse and continued even after my initial recovery. Dr. Van Eeckhout never called to let me know what she found or did not find - Or to even see how I was doing. After I was feeling up to it (3 weeks later), I called Dr. Van Eeckhout myself. She couldnt even remember what she had done to me and had to look it up on computer! She had no ideas or recommendations for me. Within two months of surgery I started having hot flashes and went into rapid menopause and stopped having periods altogether a few months later. Since the surgery, I found out the pain was from food allergies which I have fully addressed by not eating those foods. The hospital double billed me for anesthesia and I am still battling that and it has effected my credit. I went to Van Eeckhout because she appeared to have good reputation. I wish I had never gone.
