Stacie was on time, very professional, asked what I wanted, listened, and offered options. My preference is to usually let the artist do whatever they feel will look best once shown my outfit, and she made me feel so put-together without making me look overdone for the cocktail-attire fundraiser I was attending. She uses airbrush foundation, which I love because it's lightweight and could last for two days if I needed it to. She provided me with a sample lip color to last me through the remainder of the night, and was a pleasure to work with. I will definitely call her the next time I want to look like I know what I'm doing with makeup! She clearly loves what she does and takes pride in it. Thank you!

Her stylist was LATE TWICE and rescheduled once due to her lateness. The makeup was horrid. I sent the photos to my family and my bridal party who ALL said it looked NOTHING like me. When I expressed my concerns to the makeup artist and asked for a re-preview, she said I would need to PAY for another preview. I said I didn't feel I should need to pay for something I was unsatisfied with. I then contacted the owner to express my experience with her company, who called me and said things like "you have hardly any eyebrows to begin with, so what she did looked good" "I thought you had great coverage" "the eyelashes look fine" not once ever mentioning what an awful experience I had with the girl and not to mention the fact that she THEN said it was all my fault cause I moved. Oh sorry that it took you over two months to send me a contract from when I paid my deposit for your services, in which time I moved. I paid 200.00 for the worst experience of my life. When I told her I wanted a refund her response was "for services we provided?" I said, the preview is 150, I paid your company 312.00 her response "well 150 for the preview, 50 for the travel and I guess 100 was a deposit" I asked her to send me something in writing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PERSON EVER. After I left this same review on several of her social media posts, she blocked me...only before she responded immaturely and told me I would NOT be receiving a refund. Don't be salty girl. It won't be your last horrible review.

She was accommodating, extremely professional, and really knows her stuff. She also has a very calm, competent demeanor which I especially appreciated on my wedding day. Before the wedding day, she offered a complimentary trial run on my hair and makeup, and she took my feedback and ideas to heart. She even purchased a few new products to get the light but airbrushed look I wanted! With the addition of a headpiece after we had done the trial, Erin improvised and was able to incorporate it with ease. My hair and makeup both looked great all night and stayed in place. After 10 hours of photos, the ceremony, dinner, and dancing, it looked just as great as it did that morning.

My wedding was in March at the Prado, and it was my top priority to look the best for my new hubby…read more Of course that included not only a beautiful dress, but also great hair and makeup. The Lab Salon was on my way from my house to the Prado, and I decided one day to stop in to see what they could do for my big day. Wesley introduced himself as a makeup artist, I liked the place, he was extremely friendly, and so I booked a consult for the week before the big day. I recommend getting a consult before your actual wedding day. During our consult, we found that I wanted a few things done differently for the big day (lighter foundation, different color eyelids..) The day of the wedding he made it into the salon dark and early at 6AM to meet me for my afternoon wedding. He got to work.. and he didn't stop working till I looked perfect. I have never felt so beautiful in my life. I walked out almost wanting to cry because I looked so great! He is truly an artist, and you will feel like a canvas being painted on. You will feel him add small brush strokes to your face that seem so insignificant, but its that detail which makes the end result so stunning. He is a perfectionist, and will do your makeup with extreme mastery. His products are clean and sanitary, of good quality (Mac mostly), and of variety. He will make you look like you, but better and fitting for your big day. In photographs, the make up looked stunning, no touch ups had to be done in my pictures. He uses false eye lashes (if you've never worn them before, don't fear!), I could never feel that they were on my eyes (that was a first). The next morning I woke up, and my make up was still perfectly in place. I had to scrub very hard to get the make up off!!! Even when I started bauling, no one knew, nothing on my face changed. I didn't feel overdone, or like I had cake on my face. It felt light (for a full face of makeup) and looked great throughout the whole day. He will make you look beautiful, and he's a pretty funny guy to talk to as well. I highly recommend Wesley Dors for your makeup artist for any occassion.

When I finally got tired of wearing the same hairstyle everyday, I booked an appointment with Wesley hoping he could fix my hot mess of thick Asian hair. Short story is, he did! And I look great! In more detail, Wesley really took the time, thought, and effort to see what style would work best for my hair, face shape, personal style, and for when my hair will grow out. He made sure my hair would have bounce and lift without it being too prone to frizz and fly aways. His new space in Jean Claude is gorgeous, parking is easy in its own lot in the back of the building, and it's in a really cute neighborhood. He was thorough, professional, and charming. I'm already thinking of what to ask for my next haircut! But even if I don't have any ideas I feel secure in that he'll know exactly how to maintain my current cut or how to change it up in a cool way that suits me.

She left me with some lipstick for touch ups later in the day which I had not expected and I really, really appreciated. Yessie was always flexible and tried out different hairstyles with me at my trial. She was really patient and we felt awful when Wes forgot to bring down her final payment from our room to pay her on our wedding day.. so she had to wait until we could send my brother to our room to find the envelope we had prepared for her. In the end, we finally got it to her in-person, despite some confusion over where to find her when she stepped out for lunch but she took the delay in stride and never showed any impatience or unhappiness with us to which I am forever grateful. Really embarrassing for me to share, but I just really wanted to thank Yessie and explain just how perfect she was to us despite our hiccups. Thanks Yessie for being so fantastic and understanding!

TL;DR: Do NOT book with her…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience and feel obligated to warn others. I booked this hair and makeup artist last year for my August 2026 wedding and paid a deposit to secure my date. Everything seemed fine at the time of booking, but when I reached out in January to schedule my trial, I received no response. I followed up multiple times over the course of four months via email, text, and phone calls--ignored every time. My wedding planner also attempted to contact her on my behalf, with no success. At this point, it is clear this is not a case of a missed message or temporary delay--Yessie ghosted me as a client. Because of this, I was forced to find and book a new hair and makeup artist under time pressure, adding unnecessary stress during what is already a busy planning period. To make matters worse, I never received my deposit back. For other future brides out there, please do not let Yessie scam you. Taking a client's deposit and then completely disappearing without any communication or services rendered is unacceptable.

I truly couldn't have asked for a better makeup artist than Vian for my wedding day…read more From the very beginning, she was incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping me look like the best version of myself. I told her early on that I prefer a very natural look and don't feel comfortable in heavy makeup -- and she absolutely delivered. My makeup felt light, effortless, and still completely me... just elevated. It was more beautiful than my daily look, but never overdone. I especially loved what she did with my eyes and lashes. They looked soft and natural, yet defined and stunning in photos. And my hair -- this was huge for me. I don't have a lot of hair and I didn't want to wear a wig on my wedding day. She respected that completely and somehow created beautiful, natural-looking volume that made me feel confident and radiant. I was honestly amazed at what she was able to do. She was also so open to feedback and small adjustments throughout the process, which made me feel really heard and comfortable. Beyond her talent, she's just a lovely person to have around on such an important day. Calm, experienced, and clearly passionate about what she does. Even her husband stopped by to help us pick up drinks that day -- it felt personal and supportive, not transactional. Having her there made my wedding morning feel relaxed and joyful. I'm so grateful I chose her and would recommend her wholeheartedly to any bride looking for a natural, beautiful, and thoughtful approach.

This is a review purely for the bridal hair and makeup trial, have no experience with her in an…read moreactual wedding setting. The main reason I did not go forward with booking with her was because of the haphazard nature of the hair part of the trial. Vian did not part my hair, comb my hair, or use hairspray, and just draped the headpiece on instead of tying it to the hair. She told me the trial is to only get an "idea" of what the hair would look like and made me undo the hairstyle after getting pics so she could get the hair piece and pins back. I was pretty stunned because I paid almost double to include hair in the trial rather than just makeup, so I was expecting to get more than just an "idea", I wanted to see how the hairstyle would stay throughout the day. The end result was messy hair (attached a photo) and my sister who was watching commented after that she could have done a better job. In addition, Vian told me I needed to get a haircut for curtain bangs before the wedding in order for the hairstyle to work. This felt like an excuse, I'd expect her to work with the hair I have and make the best hairstyle possible, not fault me for it not looking good. Afterwards I had a hair and makeup trial with a different artist for the exact same price. At this one, I got a full hairstyle with combing, hairspray, pins that stayed on for the full day and I wasn't told that I needed to cut my hair, and it looked much better. I ended up proceeding with booking this person for the wedding instead. For the makeup, later that day I noticed that there was a smudge on my eyebrow. I checked photos and it was there in the very first photo my sister took of me after the trial was completed. I was surprised Vian didn't notice and fix this and this made me question her makeup skills as well. Style wise the makeup didn't match what I had on my Pinterest board that I showed her -- those had softer, lighter colors but I was given a darker, higher contrast look. To be fair, she asked what lip color I wanted and I told her she could choose because I didn't know (not experienced with makeup). However, the second makeup artist was so much more thorough -- she looked through my Pinterest board and asked things like, "these are all warm toned but this one is cool toned -- do you want warm or cool toned" and was able to distinguish what I liked from that, and I ended up with a look I was much happier with. Perhaps Vian would work better for someone who has a strong idea of what they're looking for, versus someone completely new to makeup (me).
