Our office used to be in the building next door to this Marriott hotel. We moved away about 7 years ago and I missed walking over here for lunch and other activities. We were invited to a Program Forum recently and it appears that the hotel has been renovated and remodeled with new furniture to almost its entirety. It looks so nice now. The meeting room was very beautiful and everything was first class. There was lunch served at noon. We had both, chicken and salmon with risotto. Salmon was very good but chicken was a bit tough. Dessert was okay. Some kind of cake with a thick white frosting on the top. I couldn't figure out what that was. I had a few bites but left most of it behind. Overall it is a beautiful hotel with great service. Even the ladies rooms were so nice and super clean. Very important! Hotel appearance: 5/5 Foods: 4/5

Great value for the money. Granted it is a little older and rooms were a little small but we enjoyed our stay. The positives that elevated this hotel to five star: friendly and helpful staff, the facility which included a large pool, a game room (ping pong table, arcade games, foosball), pool deck large screen, a nice gym. The negatives: older and smaller rooms, need grout retouching, some stains. They do have a Marriott club for those that have access or if you want to pay extra. They provide free breakfast, non alcoholic drinks (all day), light dinner and snacks in the evening. We would definitely consider staying again. For the price I think it is worth checking out .

Had the pleasure of recently attending a special event at Irvine Marriott. The event was easy to find amongst other events being hosted at the hotel. A beautiful Christmas tree greeted us in the front, along with guest services who guided us to our location. I was the guest of my daughter, who was invited to receive a scholarship award. The hotel was large enough to not only set up a beautiful gala in the selected room, but there was also space for a greeting table, Photo Booth, and cocktail hour outside. I enjoyed being a guest at this gala. Besides the beautiful venue, I enjoyed their dinner and service. We were served salad, short rib (or fish), and cheesecake dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. Service was also efficient and quick, and I loved my decaf coffee served with dessert. The hotel also offered validation for all the guests, which was nice. I would definitely keep Irvine Marriott in mind if I were to host a large party.

This is a beautiful hotel at a prime location. My husband and I stayed here for his work's Christmas party, since its was held at a nearby restaurant. The hotel was beautiful and the service was top notch. The views of the city were great. The lounge was also wonderful for a late night snack and wine. Our room was great and we will definitely stay here again.

Really happy with the service, room, and location at this hotel. It's very close to the airport but surprisingly quiet--we didn't hear any plane noise at all. Restaurants and shopping spots aren't within walking distance, but just a short drive away, which made things super convenient. The room was clean and had a modern, minimal look. I really liked the wood floors and white furniture. When we first checked in, we noticed the comforter had some hard lumps inside. We let the front desk know, and they brought a replacement right away. Great service! Breakfast at the lounge was also a nice bonus--plenty of options, including hot dishes, fruit, and pastries. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

We stayed 4 days and 3 nights. The location is convenient, but the service and quality do not match the high price. We booked a king bed but got a queen. For ~$330 a night plus $45 parking, we expected more from a 4 star hotel. The bed was old, uneven, and uncomfortable, and the blanket even had holes. The air conditioner was very noisy, making it hard to sleep. The hotel has been renovated, but the work is low quality and it still feels old and poorly maintained. One morning, workers were cleaning windows outside without any notice, which was very uncomfortable for guests. Overall, not worth the price. This hotel needs serious improvements before calling itself 4 stars.

I'm surprised by the lower ratings on this hotel as I had a wonderful experience. Everyone was extremely friendly, and I had a corner room, so had beautiful views / numerous windows to overlook the Irvine landscape. I also appreciated that there was a Starbucks right inside, and a well maintained gym with a couple of Peloton bikes. I would absolutely stay here again, and thank the team for the hospitality!

Attended a corporate dinner here and it was amazing. First, staff was very helpful and thoughtful. The room was gorgeous, I mean breathtaking! And the food was really great. I can't say enough about what a great job Marriott Irvine did.

I decided a few days prior, I wanted to stay an extra night. They were able to message me and informed me I could book another reservation for the additional night and they would make sure I stayed in the same room without having to check out, which they did. Upon check in, you enter the lobby which has a large variety of seating and a bar. They do have a happy hour menu which I thought was great. They do also offer complimentary breakfast in the morning. It looked pretty popular by the amount of guests that would pop in for breakfast. The room itself was clean, spacious and I loved the whole kitchenette. They have a a small gym that is available 24 hours, and a pool. Parking is $28 per night, but given that you are literally central to everything, I didnt mind it at all. Usually in the mornings you hear vacuums going and the commotion of room cleaning going on, which can make it hard to sleep. I didnt hear a thing! I also love that you need your room key to enter the main entrance at night. Just a bonus security feature. Everything about my stay was great. I would most definitely come back!

The only thing I didn't like about this hotel, and I've seen this with some of the other newer Hyatt House and Hyatt Place locations, they do NOT have in room safes. Breakfast was great. We saw a lot of people getting upset because they showed up at 9:30am and breakfast was closed; they clearly tell you the times at check-in, so people need to chill. Great complimentary food and coffee.

I didn't need any of them, but I took them up on the shaving kit offer. The restrooms were fully stocked with towels and toiletries. felt completely comfortable bathing here. Few pieces of important info: * There is no complementary breakfast. It's made to order but is open from 6 am till 11 am. Room deliver is available. * the parking isn't free. Seems to be a theme with SoCal hotels. It was $40 per night or $47 for valet parking. Great stay! Probably the best I've had in SoCal. I'd support your decision to stay here.

There were pricier locations closer to where I needed to meet, but this Doubletree was close enough to be a short drive, affordable for my budget, and extremely high-class for a "mid-range" hotel. I did have to navigate even the short trip to and from the venue each day, but this is a reflection on Irvine's layout, not the hotel, which was fairly easy to find even in the dark. The parking lot seemed secure and well-lit, there were plenty of luggage carts, and the staff was amazing at all hours! I also appreciated their wide stairwells at the end of each hallway (elevators are smooth and centrally located, but I prefer the stairs when I'm empty-handed) and their spacious, well-appointed exercise room, which is open 24-hours to a room keycard. While I didn't get the name of the helpful clerk at the Blend Café Market (24-hour food, drink, and accoutrement shopping in the lobby), I did note Gilbert, my server at the in-house restaurant, who prepared my order with care and panache, and whose curiosity about my stay and my reason for traveling here began as reserved politeness, but warmed gently into friendly conversation when I opened that door for a minute. The giant breakfast burrito and fruit juice I ordered were terrific, and Gilbert made my morning stop a welcome experience, and not just a meal. Even more helpful was Denise at the front desk. Denise answered a slew of questions for me on the night I checked in (it was my first time at this Doubletree and in Irvine), and she made me feel like a longtime guest returning "home" after renovations, and not a first-time visitor who hadn't traveled anywhere for business in a while. I had more questions (and already a few compliments) the next night, and I sought her out again after her extraordinary service upon arrival. She was, if anything, even more helpful that time, and I requested her name to include in this review, as well as thanking her personally for all she did for me during my stay. Denise is an absolute treasure, and I hope the Doubletree management recognizes her the way she makes every guest feel seen, heard, and valued, too. In short, this was a wonderful experience, and I will certainly stay here the next time I come to Irvine for any reason!

It would seem most of the customers who stay here are business folks, who seem generally quiet, but it's the families that are traveling (for vacation or sports) that are hella loud and will keep you up at night. The location is convenient as far as proximity goes, but the immediate surrounding area is not the greatest for views. You are surrounded by all these industrious/chemical companies (Lubrication Scientifics is across the street, I think I saw Mitsubishi Chemical Group down the road too). You really don't get that beautiful Irvine/OC view from this place. You do feel like you're in Fresno or Bakersfield, or that area in Fremont, CA near the Tesla Factory. These rooms are suites with a kitchenette, it's not as spacious as Homewood Suites by Hilton but it's decently sized. The complimentary breakfast has been one of the better ones I've experienced at a regular hotel. They make fresh eggs to order which is wonderful (I've found most regular hotels generally don't and have scrambled eggs or premade omelettes), as well as fresh pancakes too. They have juices, coffees, and a self serve espresso machine (which was broken like 70% of my visit though it's not a great machine it starts breaking after like the 5th consecutive drink made from what I saw). The location, albeit not a looker, is very convenient traveling-wise. John Wayne is just down the street, so is Diamond Jamboree and Tustin District. The staff was pretty good, generally no complaints. I couldn't get an early check in but that was not their fault and more about just the timing and how booked they were which is understandable. You can check in your bags in the meantime. Would I stay again? Only if I could be guaranteed I wouldn't have noisy neighbors. They ought to really relook at the sound dampening of the building. Not that it's an easy task to do, but it really did lower my experience here. The walls and ceilings seem pretty hollow, I could hear so much.
