Picture Day was a huge success!! Irvin Simon Photographers always goes above and beyond our expectations. The photographers were amazing with all of the students & Staff. Real professional organization. We Thank You!!! read more

I just received the photos; the quality is terribly low... I've just requested a refund because it's not right to pay so much for a mediocre result... I'll update my review if customer service is responsive and grants a refund. And yet, I was so happy to receive her school photos; it should be a moment of joy, not disappointment, when opening the envelope... read more

My wife volunteered during our daughter's school photo day, and as a courtesy, she had a photo taken with our daughter. However, instead of placing all the photos in one gallery under our daughter's account, Irvin Simon created two separate galleries--one with four photos of our daughter alone, and another with two photos of her with my wife. I contacted Irvin Simon customer support to request that the galleries be combined since they feature the same child, but they were not helpful and refused to merge them. I had planned to purchase the full digital set for $99, but because they are split into two galleries, I was told I would need to pay $200. Given the lack of flexibility and customer service, I decided not to purchase any photos at all. read more

The cost is piracy!! $350 for a single senior pose digital download. My elementary school child download was also expensive but cost $65. Irvin Simon is a crook read more

As a parent, I'm really disappointed with this photography service. The overall quality of the photos was unexpectedly poor - grainy and badly lit. For the price we're being charged (which is super high, especially for a public school setting!), I would expect much better. What's most frustrating is that there seems to be no alternative offered. Families shouldn't have to pay such a crazy prices for photos that look rushed and unprofessional! read more

Terrible customer service and CRAZY expensive. Photos are average at best. Parents that can't afford packages that are $400 plus these are the a la cart options read more

As a parent, I am upset with the quality and price for this "photographer" service. This is some really insane overprice bs.

Ripoff. Required to buy and add-on at checkout. Very sketchy practice for a children's photo service.

Great customer service. I accidentally placed one extra order and contacted customer service. They responded promptly with instructions for me to cancel one of the orders. However, I cancelled it after they shipped the pictures already, but they still refunded me money. read more

School photos are excellent! Been dealing with them for several years. Always professional and knowledgeable

Irvin Simon has make some big improvements over the past few years. They have great options for school pictures, way better than some other companies in the area, photographers are so patient with young kids (it is hard as a mom to get a great smile from my own kids, so I appreciate the effort that they put in to try and get great pictures of AN ENTIRE SCHOOL in a single school day- just wow!) and the customer service is top notch! read more

This company is a total rip off and scam. Will never purchase anything from them again. They charge $51 for 4 4x6 prints and then have the nerve to not even cut the photos for me. They expect me to cut them at home? How is that supposed to look professional. I want a full refund. I have also told my school not to do business with them anymore. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

The customer support team at Irvin Simon is amazing! I was looking for old, school photos of my children. I constantly bothered them with emails - but they never got upset. They kept replying to all my inquiries and got me the exact pictures I was looking for from all the way back in 2017! They understand the meaning of great customer service and the importance of pictures! Thank you so much! Merlin read more

All three of my kids photos have come out terrible the past 2 years. I placed an order under the guise that a family rebate program was available and submitted the required form to no avail - I never received a rebate for my three kids' sub-par photos. I tried to order just a single 5x7 photo for each of my kids but this is only an add on option. All the packages are expensive for what you get. read more

Honestly, just consistently terrible pictures. Overexposed, unflattering lighting, with the tackiest backdrops. Year-after-year. After conferring with other parents, I've also come to conclude that it's not just my kids who are always looking like they're in a state of discomfort, which leads me to believe that an element of a good child's photo is a truly experienced children's photographer, which Irvin Simon probably does not tend to have. To top this all off, the photo packages are totally overpriced in this digital age, structured to upsell, and nickel and dime. It just reeks of an old, slimy business model. I hope that the schools are getting some kind of PTO money out of it, or else I hope / pray / dream that someone else better comes along, disrupts their business model, and puts them out of business. read more

It has been a pleasure collaborating with this company. Their cheerful demeanor and willingness to accommodate have made them effective in engaging with students. We look forward to partnering with them again in the future. read more

Terrible e-commerce experience and even worse customer service. They refused to send the digital download of my child's photo package as advertised on their website. I asked for the owner and they refused to put me through. Looking at all of the poor reviews here, I see that I'm not alone. Picture Day should be a joyous moment, not a bait & hook scam. This will be the last time I use their service and I encourage everyone to do their research before booking. read more

Hi, I ordered my boys school Photos from Irvin Simon Photographers they looked amazing. The background was great with his handsome face especially. They did and Awesome job on my photos. My son's school used Irvin Simon for yearbook and senior photos. We paid $130 for an 8*10. I wonder if the company lacks experience with darker skin tones. We were speechless when we received the picture. My son looks like AI with matted hair. The picture is embarrassing. I was informed by a customer service rep to mail the photo back. Not only did we receive an overpriced AI photo, but now we need to pay to mail it back. Unacceptable! read more

My children have very beautiful photos, good quality of the material and they are very professional. Don't hesitate to go with them.

Inconsistent quality and insanely overpriced for the low-quality work that they produce. Read the other reviews from disappointed customers and have your photos taken elsewhere. read more

My school used two different photographers this year for school pictures. The other company was literally half the price of Irvin Simon. I understand the cost of everything is going up because of the pandemic but $25 for two 5x7 is nuts. I have four out of five children that took pictures with this company. There's a third child rebate but to get the most basic package I could do a family photo shoot in a studio with more pictures than this company provides. I'm going to talk to our PTO about the next picture day and choosing the cheaper company. Cheaper doesn't always mean better but honestly the other company shipped the pictures fast and they came out very nice for my son and we received a digital copy as well. read more

I took my high school senior photos with this company. My photos came out terrible and the lighting was so dark. I do not recommend Irvin Simon way over price as well. read more

My child is Asian. I wonder if the company lacks experience with photographing Asian skin tones. The photo looks...eww...so unflattering and harsh. The sixteen-year-old seems to have easily aged ten years in the photo. I've received over a dozen email reminders from the company to order prints or products by now, and I never bothered to place an order. read more

They really are the worst, not only taking 1 photo and even restricting my daughter to only do one pose which is plain blunt and sad. Not only that, i am truly amazed how awful photo they can take, even my 5 yrs old daughter can take a photo of her sister with my iphone 12 pro max looking WAY MUCH prettier than Irvin photo company. over the years, i got fed up with these disgusting pictures and decide to write this review. HOPEFULLY, THEY WILL STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN to all parent's comments. Otherwise, i will never spend another dime on their pictures. read more

Very Bad due to high pricing. how can a poor kid afford his picture. Atleast you have to give a free digital print for all kids.

I was given access to three galleries (one for each child and a siblings gallery) for a total of 10 images (minus the group photo). Since I'd like digital copies of the 10 images I needed to add the $99 "Photo Download - Unlimited + Group Photo!" package three times into my cart and am left with a bill of over $300. Aside from the cost, the ethics behind this is bothersome. If I had a gallery of 999 images (the max amount of photos that can be added within a single gallery), I would be paying $99 to "reproduce, edit and share" those images. The communication with customer service is sporadic and I was extended a subpar discount whose rationale has nothing to do with my concerns. The human component of this company is lacking and there doesn't seem to be a sense of moral conviction as I sit helplessly waiting for them to communicate with me. If you can convince your schools to steer clear of this company, do it! I know I will. read more

Unfortunately, this is my 2nd time dealing with this company because my child's summer camp uses them. I was given 1 proof and it was out of focus. In order to get 1 download of a single pose AND a print of the group, this company wanted to charge $50! $50 for a single print that I can purchase via Mpix for less than $1. I don't know why schools and camps continue to use this company - what they charge for their subpar photos is downright criminal. P.S. - When you use full blown flash under the bright bright midday sun you should be able to get perfect focus with a faster shutter speed. On top of that, maybe don't blow out the skin and make everyone look like ghosts? You probably don't know about it since it's clear your photographers never spent a day in photography school learning like the rest of us. 'll be letting the camp know that there are far better freelance photographers that they could be using that won't try to rip off parents into spending way more than they need to. read more

Every year I order the school pictures and always have to request a retake. They dont seem to care about how your child will be in the picture. We paid for them a good price and I think they should at least be able to capture a good smile Very poor work quality. They dont care at all about our clildren's school pictures. read more

Overpriced pictures! It doesn't seem like they care - same 2 poses and then they close up the same pictures and call it new ones - also why am I being charged for shipping if the pictures I chose are downloads?! Hopefully schools can find better photographers! I'm sure they're better ones out there! read more

This place is a ripoff! My daughter school pick this place for their graduation pictures and it was nothing but a ripoff!! Their prices are way too high. Their packages sucks!!! I ended up spending $80!! All I wanted was two different size pics of the package that they offered. $80 for 2 pictures!! That not right!!! And they do it because they know that parents are willing to spend the money on their children graduation pictures. Shame on you!! read more

School prints were poor quality. Given the choice to choose from 4 photos which looked exactly the same. The photographers could have at least told the children to change positions but it seems like they are lazy and just want to get the job done to collect their money. read more

My son's school is using this company for school picture days. Every time for 9 years I have been asking myself the same question: "How are they still in business?". Every year I would love to order a picture, but when I get a samples, my son looks like an Adams family member. Different member every time. I am amazed how in the world they manage to get such a pictures! Unbelievable. Don't waste your time, look for a company who knows how to work with kids. read more

I have been observing this since last few years but could not make myself think it until two other parents mentioned this- every single school picture I have seen of my son's class or other classes, all the white kids are made to sit or stand in the front and all the brown kids are somewhere at the end, on the side. And not one time, every single time without a doubt, I cannot believe this company is still in business in this day and age and that too in a diverse place like NYC. Not only brown kids have the worst pictures taken by them as so many reviewers said, the racist attitude (there I said it), is unacceptable. read more

Well I don't mean to pile on, but I have the same feedback as so many. The worst pictures. My daughter is 2 years old and we dressed her in a cute dress and they cropped the picture from her chest up and she isn't smiling. It looks like a mug shot. Pretty awful. And the group shot they have on the paper they sent home isn't even avail to purchase. Their e-commerce experience definitely needs to be brought up to par. And they really need to hire photographers that can get multiple poses, close up, more wide shot and maybe have a couple of props or something to make it more engaging. read more

Worst service and photographer ! None of the 4 poor pictures were even available to purchase. I did better picture with my camera. $19 for 2 pictures really?! read more

This is the 3rd strike! They have not kept up with the times and technology. Awful pictures. Packages are a terrible value and to download (yes it's 21st century) is even more money and nearly impossible. Our PTA and school district is kicking them out. read more
