Even before I initially moved in I would call the office and if it was Abby that answered it was a horrible interaction. When I moved in they charged me almost $200 on top of my $500 deposit and first months rent ($885). This was a "registration fee" and at the time I thought I had not read a document fully and was unsure where the charge came from but soon I would learn this is just the start of their money hungry business! When I moved out I took video evidence of my whole apartment thinking that would protect me from getting part of my deposit taken but I was wrong. All the lights were functioning and like the other review on here they charged me $10 for a lightbulb what the heck! Then they charged me $22 for a washer pan...okay whatever. The main thing I was upset about though was $80 for CARPET CLEANING! I left that apartment in almost perfect condition and even cleaned that place top to bottom when I left. When I emailed to find out what this was about she Abby sent me pictures of the carpet which she said there was staining on the carpets...she was referring to the foot traffic wear of the carpet in the doorway where everyone had to step to get into the room. I know that was not done by me or my roommate because my roommate put a lock on the door and would leave the door shut for months at a time when she would go home (which was like 99% of the time). When Abby sent the document (that I had never seen) saying that I had 'agreed' to pay a cleaning fee if I had not had someone professionally clean it with proof of receipt. I told her I had never received that document and I also never signed it, it was not in my lease and therefore I never agreed to it. In my lease it only said that everything should be clean when I left, and clean it was! When I told her this she basically told me that I was stupid and said that I got it when I moved in and moved out. How can they charge me for something that isn't even in my lease? Abby completely dismissed everything I said and I know it's because she's wrong and has nothing else logically to say. She was very unprofessional, petty, and sarcastic in the way she closed her email to me as well. She gives no craps about the people who want to live there, are living there, or used to live there. Other than ABBY TOWNZEN I really have no complaints. It's a beautiful place and they take care of it FOR A HIGH PRICE. I moved out because our rent went up over 40% and it was already over $900 a month with nothing included! When you live there they'll treat you so well, as soon as you move out you're useless to them- no longer making them rich. They want nothing to do with you anymore. I had to email them 4 times before getting a reply when they used to email me back in less than 24 hours. MORAL OF THE STORY: I wouldn't move into this place unless I planned on dying there. The hassle of moving out and dealing with all the management crap isn't even worth living in an 'upscale apartment'.

So if you read the negative reviews please disregard them. Everyone of the staff members have bent over backwards to accommodate my requests. I am very blessed to have found a community like Dream Paducah that cares about their residents. I highly recommend Dream Paducah if you are lucky enough to find an available apartment. Don't stop trying, it's worth it!

However, the parking is a bit crappy. They provide permit parking for one tenant per apartment which isn't so bad, but they have sleazy tow trucks that drive around waiting to tow anyone that pulls into the parking lot. Looking to make a quick buck, they will charge you $75 (off the books cash) to not tow your car. Parking on the street could result in a Paducah Police Department parking ticket if you don't follow all city street parking rules, despite the fact that it's a residential area without sidewalks or curbs on one side of the street. The interiors and old, dingy, and crowded. But again, for the price, they are standard. I had a large lady bug swarming problem in the fall, but managed my way through that. Overall, these apartments deserve a 2 star. If you are looking to save money, roll the dice on this place.
