I would only live here if you want to be overcharged and treated like crap from ABBY TOWNZEN. I LOVE Jen, I Love Logan, and all of the maintenance people were beyond wonderful, but the main manager ABBY TOWNZEN is down right terrible. Even before I initially moved in I would call the office and if it was Abby that answered it was a horrible interaction. When I moved in they charged me almost $200 on top of my $500 deposit and first months rent ($885). This was a "registration fee" and at the time I thought I had not read a document fully and was unsure where the charge came from but soon I would learn this is just the start of their money hungry business! When I moved out I took video evidence of my whole apartment thinking that would protect me from getting part of my deposit taken but I was wrong. All the lights were functioning and like the other review on here they charged me $10 for a lightbulb what the heck! Then they charged me $22 for a washer pan...okay whatever. The main thing I was upset about though was $80 for CARPET CLEANING! I left that apartment in almost perfect condition and even cleaned that place top to bottom when I left. When I emailed to find out what this was about she Abby sent me pictures of the carpet which she said there was staining on the carpets...she was referring to the foot traffic wear of the carpet in the doorway where everyone had to step to get into the room. I know that was not done by me or my roommate because my roommate put a lock on the door and would leave the door shut for months at a time when she would go home (which was like 99% of the time). When Abby sent the document (that I had never seen) saying that I had 'agreed' to pay a cleaning fee if I had not had someone professionally clean it with proof of receipt. I told her I had never received that document and I also never signed it, it was not in my lease and therefore I never agreed to it. In my lease it only said that everything should be clean when I left, and clean it was! When I told her this she basically told me that I was stupid and said that I got it when I moved in and moved out. How can they charge me for something that isn't even in my lease? Abby completely dismissed everything I said and I know it's because she's wrong and has nothing else logically to say. She was very unprofessional, petty, and sarcastic in the way she closed her email to me as well. She gives no craps about the people who want to live there, are living there, or used to live there. Other than ABBY TOWNZEN I really have no complaints. It's a beautiful place and they take care of it FOR A HIGH PRICE. I moved out because our rent went up over 40% and it was already over $900 a month with nothing included! When you live there they'll treat you so well, as soon as you move out you're useless to them- no longer making them rich. They want nothing to do with you anymore. I had to email them 4 times before getting a reply when they used to email me back in less than 24 hours. MORAL OF THE STORY: I wouldn't move into this place unless I planned on dying there. I just moved to Dream Paducah about a month ago. I have found the community outstanding! It has everything a person could ask for and then some extra facilities that you would seldom find when renting an apartment. The staffing personnel are the best! So if you read the negative reviews please disregard them. Everyone of the staff members have bent over backwards to accommodate my requests. I am very blessed to have found a community like Dream Paducah that cares about their residents. I highly recommend Dream Paducah if you are lucky enough to find an available apartment. Dream Apartments Paducah, KY their lease consists if 43 pages, in fine print. It would take several attorneys to translate it to you. They have hidden clauses in it. They tell you amenities such as water, trash service is an amenity to the tenant. But this is not true. Rent us 1159.00 PLUS your fees for trash service, water, and other service you must pay for. You will not see your water usage, Dream just bills it to yo in your rent, which totals at least 100.00 above your rent payment. Do not accept the 2 year lease. The rent raises the second year. They require 3 MONTHS notice to vacate, not the normal 30 day notice. There is a break lease fee if 1159.00 plus you will never receive your security back. They keep it fir bogus reasons. They are a huge, huge comglomerate, not from the Paducah area. They have a league of attorneys, you cannot win against them. They say they are child friendly, but are actually only dig friendly. Huge digs live there and tenants do not pick up the poop in the grass as required. The staff are nice to your face, but do not work with any problems. Just be alert before you rent from them.
