There is public parking available along the street (metered by the COJ) as well as in the rear parking lot (more expensive private parking here.) Security is tight at the main entrance so be prepared to lose the belt and all of your accessories so they can scan you through. It reminds me of an airport, as you have to put all your bags and belongings into a bin for X Ray. The guards and homeland security are very nice but they take their job seriously and I appreciate that. Currently, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the building is mostly closed to the public unless you have a special appointment. They generally aren't letting anyone in right now unless you work in the building and have a badge. Snack machines and a mail drop/ATM are located on the ground floor. Restrooms are available there as well. I'm glad to work in a clean and secure building like this and the best part is that it's located right in the heart of downtown Jacksonville.

You must now have to have an appointment with IRS to enter the building now. IRS is not the only dept. in the building. There are multiple Gov't Agencies in the Federal Building. They have a restaurant on the first floor to get a bite to eat, breakfast or lunch. They also have the Federal Credit Union in the ground floor as well. The building is well maintained. The service people do a great job and the cleaning staff do a wonderful job as well. The only tip I might have is: I think they should update the handicapped ramp. If you are facing the building, it's on the right side. No visitor can enter the building before 8am.

Instead of accepting blame for not being capable of doing a simple task or even apologizing, she acted like it was my fault. She should have had the capacity to say I'm sorry and insert my number near the front of the list instead of telling me it is my choice to rejoin the END of the line again. I shouldn't have to wait all over again for her mistake AND there is no choice! If there was a choice, everyone would opt to use any place other than DCTC offices.

The problem was that I haven't gotten a bill and the bill was going to the renter. The woman who helped me, Jamie Czekalski, went above and beyond to help me. She helped me figure out where I was on the delinquency and gave me the link for changing the address so that bills would come to me. I was nervous about what might be the worst case and she relieved all of my fears and anxiety. She is my hero of the day!

There's plenty of comfortable seating if you need to stay a while and do some research. Also, there are programs she children as well as designated area that accommodate different age groups. The staff was friendly overall and eager to offer assistance. The common logic and customer service could use some work. I dropped in to print a page from my email while I was out and about. I was told that sometimes the printer doesn't print the best copies and in order to print I'd have to purchase a guest pass. No problem. I purchased the guest pass and went over to scan the pass and print my page. What should have taken 5 minutes ended up taking over an hour! The computer wouldn't read my pass so I could login. The attendant called the help desk but no luck. Finally, after an hour and 15 minutes I decided to get my money back and go elsewhere only to be told there are no refunds. Now, I was not told BEFORE the purchase that there are ongoing printer issues and it's a crap shoot rather or not you'll be able to print and if I pay to print I'm doing so at my own risk. I was baffled! The attendant tells me "it's (the policy) on the bottom of my receipt". My reply was "the one you gave me AFTER I'd already paid?? How would I know about your policy if it's not posted and no one tells me until after I pay?? Maybe I missed the sign; will you show it to me?" Of course she couldn't because there is no sign. Eventually, the manager came out and acknowledged that I shouldn't pay for a service and not receive what I paid for and my money be kept, although that's their policy. In the end, another 15 minutes later, the system was able to be manipulated and I got my copy. Common sense dictates placing a sign informing customers the printer is down until it's repaired OR let customers know if they pay to print it's at their own risk! It's not a huge financial investment to pay for printing but the principal of a policy aimed at keeping someone's money for a service they didn't receive with no warning beforehand is preposterous and should not be tolerated. Unbelievable! Thank goodness I have everything I need at home because I'll never come back here. I can only imagine what other hidden ridiculous policies they have and I don't want to venture in and accidentally find out AFTER I've spent my money.

I thought there were laws about being hassled at voting sites, especially at the SOE. Then once I got inside, signed in, voted, and had trouble getting the machine to take my ballot. A random person standing right next to the machine turned around in time to see the front page of my ballot (I was told by a clerk there to turn it right side up) and this man actually read the name of who I had voted for, and shot me a mean look. I don't believe he was with the SOE. Why are people loitering inside like that and nosy after they've cast their own votes?
