Throughout the leasing process I had the pleasure of working with Danny, Ashley, and Jade. They all gave wonderful service, and sent a clear message that they love their job! Danny was my primary leasing specialist and I cannot say enough about his professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness. He is so genuine! The process was smooth and seamless, and I am so grateful to have found this place. Feels like home! I love the lake views and amazing walk in closet! All of the interiors are top notch. I had a minor maintenance request my first few days, and they responded and resolved my issue within two hours. That kind of thing is very important to me. Five stars all around!

I honestly don't even know where to begin, but after years of living at this property, I feel it's…read moreonly right to share my experience and hopefully save someone else the unnecessary stress. I've watched this property decline tremendously in management, communication, and overall upkeep. The constant turnover in office staff and management speaks for itself. Previous management may not have been the friendliest, but at least they seemed competent. I can't say the same for the current management. My recent apartment transfer was an absolute NIGHTMARE. I started the process in JUNE with the previous property manager, with an understanding that I could transfer when a more suitable apartment became available. Instead, I dealt with months of poor communication, unnecessary delays, and misleading information. It took nearly TWO WEEKS to get an answer about securing a rental rate, only to be told the delay was because people take time off and there was a holiday (Labor Day, ONE Monday). This was happening TWO DAYS before I had to move! To make matters worse, the exact apartment I wanted was relisted at the SAME RATE I requested on the day I picked up my new keys. When questioned, the current manager, Danielle, told me someone had applied and wasn't approved. When I pointed out that I had documentation showing the apartment was under MY name, she backtracked and admitted I was right. The regional manager, Kay White, was no better. I was told I couldn't receive the previous rate because the special had ended and apparently "the computer" determines pricing. She also casually dismissed the price difference as "only $87 more." That's $1,044 over a 12-month lease! How incredibly tone-deaf to minimize someone else's money, especially when your own management team's handling of the situation created the problem. As if that wasn't enough, I was hit with approximately $494 in move-out charges without a proper walkthrough or clear explanation. This included charges involving repainting and even $50 for shower hooks that were there BEFORE I moved in! This property doesn't conduct walkthroughs with residents, yet has no problem charging them afterward. Thankfully, I document my apartments with photos and videos. For the rent being charged, the condition of these apartments is also unacceptable. Deteriorating appliances, rusted hardware, and unresolved maintenance issues. I've submitted requests for a broken AC unit and leaking refrigerator less than a month in this new unit. The grounds are poorly maintained, and the trash situation is disgusting. I spent nearly a YEAR dealing with inconsistent valet trash pickup, a service residents PAY for. Yet management has time to threaten towing vehicles to accommodate overflowing garbage areas instead of addressing the actual problem. What bothers me most is the complete lack of accountability. I've had my concerns dismissed, my words twisted, and unnecessary stress added to what should have been a straightforward process. Because of the unnecessary delays and pressure to make a decision just TWO DAYS before my move-out date, I'm now stuck in a unit I'm unhappy with, all because of management's poor handling of a process that should have been simple from the beginning. I've referred TWO people to this property over the years, but I will NEVER recommend it again. What was once a tolerable place to live has become a constant source of frustration. I wouldn't recommend this place even if it was somebody's last option. For what residents pay, basic honesty, professionalism, proper maintenance there are so many better and newer options within the area.

The lady at the office told me that I didn't need to go crazy trying to clean up the place. She said that as long as I get all of my stuff out of there and don't leave any debris or garbage behind, I would get my deposit returned to me. And sure enough, she was right. I just received a check for $900, the entire amount of my deposit. If someone is looking for an apt in Brandon, I would recommend that you give Brandon Oaks a try.

I was told that the previous tenant had recently moved out and that they had new tenants who recently moved in. What A Welcome!! For a year prior I barely heard a sound from above. The bathroom disaster, was followed by the discovery that these Animals owned 4 dogs. At times, it sounded like they were running them around purposely possibly for exercise. There was a constant slamming & moving of furniture to clean dog crap that was then being collected & stored on the balcony " above mine". In all fairness, I love Dogs, but it sounded like they were infact operating a kennel in a 4th floor apartment complex. We're talking about 4 large size dogs, running around all hours of the day and most nights. The "absentee- management" did ZERO, nothing, not a damn thing. At the time that they moved in, there were many bottom floor units available with access to a yard. Of course the tenants were even worse, they would make all kinds of noise especially in the evening. Most likely it was when they were just waking up to start their day. I was woke at least once a night, usually while I was deep asleep at 2-3AM. I heard rumbles of staff saying that one of them was coming or going around those hour (hopefully for legitimate work). It was followed by a stampede of dogs running like crazy when they arrived. Personally, if I come home early or late at night I have the respect for my neighbors. They had no regard for others, not a clue. On top of everything, these Thugs thought smoking marijuana 24/7 was also acceptable in a non smoking complex. Now, if it didn't travel through to my air-ducts, I wouldn't have cared. Unfortunately I had a cloud of smoke in my apartment regularly. I was constantly battling headaches. MGT did nothing for months!! They wouldn't even discuss if the dogs were on the lease. They would just reply by saying they're not permitted to talk to me about other tenants. How about the marijuana? They ignored my plea & even refused to check for months. Ironically someone working in maintenance seen the dogs and witnessed the heavy marijuana smoke first hand. They said it was reported & brought to the attention of the mgr. KATE, who swept it under the rug. They repeatedly told me that the noise & heavy smoke was normal to apartment living. I guess they forget that I was here for over a year prior with NOT A SINGLE ISSUE or having to call & make a complaint. The previous tenant was very respectful about everything. So Lantower SAVE your bullshit excuses!! Obviously, In the end I couldn't deal with it any longer & basically told them I was in contact with an attorney. To help break my lease or to legally address concerns that were being ignored. This group of numb-nuts started scrambling and even recording our conversations. They had a regional mgr. come in using a blocked number, they were all in cahoots. She made pretend she was calling from out of state but I seen her in the office 15 mins later. Amateur Hour!! They were basically all being told what to do because I mentioned, I had contacted my attorney. SO LANTOWER BRANDON Wouldn't it have been easier to just have addressed the f-situation from the start? Maybe not move questionable people above someone who was paying, renewed and was content living here till this point. I hope I can help with your decision if you're considering to move here. Especially if you work early in the morning or have children & care about your health. YES so basically everyone. Listen I'm not taking my valuable time to do this for nothing. Hopefully this will help prevent someone else from going through what I had endure for a year. *Ironically I told these fools that I would refrain from leaving any negative feedback If they would respectfully give me my deposit back that was due (minus the cleaning fee etc.) Let's just say they cleaned alright, they cleaned out my deposit. I was positive this was going to happen, especially in retaliation for all the inconvenience I caused. Be cautious with your decision, read the reviews. You don't want be trapped & helpless for a year with not a leg to stand on. Honestly, do yourself a favor and find a place that is properly managed.

We lived there for about 11 months and only moved out because we ended up purchasing a house. This community ended up exceeding our expectations by far. Yes there were roaches when we moved in, BUT we contacted the office and they took care of the issue right away. We didn't see any other critters the rest of the time there. Our only other complaint is that we frequented the pool common area on weekends and there occasionally would be a group of teenagers who we are pretty certain didn't live there who were a bit rude and partaking in bad behaviors, but this was typically when the staff had already left for the evening. Otherwise, we have not one complaint. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I miss coming home to the view of the lake with the huge fountains. The staff also goes above and beyond to make their residents feel special. We were frequently treated to breakfasts, taco nights, pizza nights, wine and cheese socials and even a red carpet night that was the most fun we had all year. As a result, we made so many great friendships that we never expected. We actually have gone back to the community a few times to visit our neighbors because they have become like a family to us. The staff was also great. Joey and Brittany always made themselves available to hear our concerns or just to chat for great conversation. We also appreciated the maintenance staff who took care of all requests within the same day of us submitting them. I also miss the food trucks every Wednesday and the weekly Zumba class held on their yoga deck. Overall, living at the Retreat was a great experience and one that we are sad ended so soon.
